Chesil holiday park has some of the most stunning views of all the caravan parks in Dorset. Looking out over the Fleet Lagoon with a backdrop of the Portland Penninula this holiday park is highly recommended for families looking for a relaxing break in Dorset. One of the best things about this park is its proximity to Monkey World which makes a fantastic day out. Seeing the work the staff at Monkey World carry out providing a home for rescued Monkeys from around the world is an amazing experience.
The park is well served by buses so you can get out and about and explore all that sunny Dorset has to offer. But if you would rather stay on the park and relax then that's fine too! With a heated indoor pool, sauna, fitness suite and wifi access there is plenty to do. Kids will enjoy the play area and under 5s have a soft play area to themselves.
Accommodation is a choice of caravans and apartments. The caravans have 2 or 3 bedrooms and the Heritage 6 and Heritage 8 have DVD players. The Heritage caravans are top of the range and provide a more luxurious base for your stay. The Sandsfoot 6 and Sandsfoot 8 caravans are recommended for those on a budget but do not want to compromise on quality.
The apartments at Chesil offer something a bit different. The Chesil View Apartment is a first floor apartment sleeping 4 with a dishwasher. This would suit couples or small families. It will cost you from £27 a night to stay at Chesil caravan park so it's really budget friendly too.

This has to be our favourite attraction in the area located amidst the woodland area of Dorset. This is a monkey sanctuary and you will get the unique opportunity to see all of the great work that's carried out by the staff - and of course see the 160 plus primates for yourself. Situated over 65 acres this is a fantastic environment for the monkeys. |

If you like museums then this is one with a difference. Families will love wondering around this building looking at the earliest antique teddy bears and more modern teddy bears from today. A real highlight is Edward Bear and his family of people sized bears which are hard to miss! This popular Dorset attraction is also excellent value for money. |

Kingston Maurward Gardens and Animal Park is a must if you are enjoying a family holiday to Dorset. The Majestic gardens are simply stunning and include formal areas with gorgeous floral displays as well as a pretty terrace, a temple and a lake. The animal park area is great fun for children with plenty of friendly creatures including goats and adorable pot bellied pigs. The site also has a visitors centre with shop. At well under £20.00 for a family ticked it isExcellent value too. |
