For a fun packed holiday park in the North of England with fantastic facilities for adults and children alike, Haggerston Castle is one of the best we have come across. The award winning and beautifully landscaped park is set around several lakes and offers easy access to spectacular scenery and sandy beaches as well as some of Northumberland's best attractions.
The recently improved indoor pool has a water play area and is great place to spend a rainy afternoon. The all weather bowling green, amusement arcades and café bar and grill also cater well to the temperamental northern weather and ensure the fun never has to stop. Children also have a range of clubs offering age appropriate activities and teenagers have their own club, where they can make new friends. While the kids are off having fun the grown ups can enjoy relaxing in the spa treatment rooms or having a drink and game of pool in the bar. Evening entertainment is family friendly and includes bingo and cabaret acts.
Head just a few miles in any direction and you will find plenty of things to see and do. Northumberland National Park, Alnwick Castle, Gateshead Metro Centre and the vibrant city of Edinburgh are all within reach.
Guests can chose to stay in Superior, Deluxe or Prestige caravans. If you are looking for space and luxury then the Prestige is the one to go for. The 12ft wide holiday homes are modern and very spacious with a good sized kitchen area, two or three bedrooms and open plan living space with dining table. Guests staying in Prestige holiday homes also benefit from early check in.

Conundrum Farm situated up towards Berwick is an excellent choice for a fun day out and is ideal for those with younger children. Within the farm visitors can enjoy the trail and take along some food to feed the animal they meet. The friendly goats and affectionate ponies always prove popular as do the cute and cuddly lambs in the spring time. The site also has a coffee shop and a farm shop selling excellent local produce. |

Go Ape is the perfect place for a day out if you have older kids or teenagers. This amazing attraction feature a thrilling highwire course with 30ft up a rope ladders, a giant rope net, Tarzan Swing and a maze of tunnels and rope bridges to negotiate. The attraction has proved very popular since opening and is a must if you are in the area. |

Alnwick Castle and Gardens today are perhaps best known for their roles as Hogwarts in Harry Potter movies but have for many years been a family favourite attraction in Northumberland. The beautiful medieval castle is open to the public and during school holidays and at Christmas and Halloween a range of activities can be enjoyed including Santa's Workshop, a Pumpkin Parade, Spell Making Lessons and Owl and Bird of Prey Flying. |
