Stayed for 6 nights, caravan clean but a little dated, needs blinds on windows too much time trying to fix tie backs, caravan was cold in the night. Had some good days out to other parts of lake district great beach across the road our dog loved it all in all a good break.

David was kind enough to wait up for us after out journey taking over 7 hours instead of the 5 1/2 we were expecting. Everything you need for a base to explore the area. Caravan was clean and tidy and lovely and warm.

The caravan we had was the same from 2 years ago and was in really good condition except for a bit of wear and tear but was rectified by a lovely tablecloth provided to hide the lifted laminate on the dining table

Rowan Bank is a quiet, small site. Just the place to relax. Miles of beach (a stones throw away) Local shops very rare, Asda and Tecsos within 20 miles, nearby pub with good food. Several places to visit for days out the Lakes, Hadrians wall and museums for all tastes.

The caravan was more than sufficient for three of us and very good value for money. Well stocked with most things you could need.

Having the en-suite toilet room was a bonus.
Mateo, Cwmbran
Fantastic stay brilliant value for money everything was perfect except our phone signal EE but that is down to the reception in Cumbria and Carlisle.
Christopher
Brilliant & cosy cottage far enough out the way to be secluded but close enough to local amenities. Amazing hotub & bathroom with underfloor heating throughout tops it off. The owners, Rob & Sharon are wonderful! (And of course Bonnie) Will definitely be coming back again for longer ASAP!!
Emma
Beautiful cottage with hot tub and log burner. lovely hosts, peaceful, perfect for our mini break. Hope to return for longer soon!
Phoebe
Really well equipped house, lovely and warm too which was so nice on a rainy December day! Bath was just lovely and a nice big shower! The property is under a flight path - this did not disturb us at all! Dont be put off! A great location for dogs who hate fireworks as it's in the middle of nowhere. Really beautiful, well converted property. Thank Read moreyou! Hide

From start to finish the holiday was excellent. Friendly staff and great location and very peaceful. Would recommend to anybody looking for peace and quiet and a nice beach across the road to walk on
Mary
We had a pleasant 4 night stay in the caravan. Very quiet site, well kept and very clean. Caravan was spacious, clean and tidy. Excellent location, local pretty villages, nice coastal walks, not far from The Lake District, next to the Solway Firth Area of natural Beauty, lots of local eating places and picnic areas. Would recommend and definitely rent again.
Mateo
Excellent Caravan site. Very welcoming manager. Nothing too much trouble. Dvds available to borrow and put back if have laptop. Beach is 100 yards away lovely for BBQ. Scotland you can see from beach when clear weather check with phone provider for signal in the area as EE not the best signal in and around Cumbria/Carlisle Brilliant time had was lovely and quiet and able to see the stars on clear night. We would definitely stay there again.
Robert
We really enjoyed our week stay at Rowanbank! We used it as a base to explore the lake district but also loved our time in the park, as the owners and fellow caravaners were all extremely friendly. A great place to take a dog, there is a large beach across the road for walks and there is a lovely sunset on a clear day. Special thanks to Steve who kindly supplied us with bed linen after we didn't realise we needed to bring it due to covid. This place is great if you just want a quiet chilled out location!
