Worcestershire Holiday Parks

Worcestershire is an area of the Uk which is full of history and heritage.  The array of Abbeys and of course the famous Cathedral of Worcester make this a fantastic place for sight seeing.   When it's time to relax there are some great dining options in the area.  Some of our favourite restaurants include Brockencote Hall which is a stunning country house with fine restaurant.  We also recommend The Fleece Inn for bar meals using excellent local produce and locally produced drinks.  This is actually the only pub in England which is owned by the National Trust.  The holiday parks and lodges in this area provide a good value base to explore the area.

Wigley Orchard

Wigley Orchard is a wonderful holiday park and will appeal to families and couples looking for a quality base to explore this area of Worcestershire.

Why We Love Worcestershire

The area of Worcestershire encompasses some areas of outstanding natural beauty, parkland, woodland and countryside as well as some ancient cities and towns. The city of Worcester has much to offer including excellent shopping opportunities, museums and Galleries. There are also many family attractions in the region including zoos, parks and gardens.

Fun Days Out in Worcestershire

Spetchley Park and Gardens is an excellent choice for a day out in the summer. The beautiful landscaped gardens have several picnic areas and ponds as well as many species of flora and fauna. The historic home also has a deer park in the grounds and a tea room.

Children will just love a day at this fun packed zoo. There are hundreds of animals to meet, educational shows and talks as well as organised activities during school holidays including face painting and animal crafting. Dudley Zoo is home to some very rare and exotic animals and children can learn about their natural habitat and the problems they face in the wild.

On a warm sunny day a cruise down the River Avon is a very enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. The trips are educational as well as fun. The riverside area really comes alive during the school holidays and kids can enjoy a good range of fun organised activities.

I stayed at Wigley caravan park with my family. We loved the park and have already booked again for next year.

We always come to this area for family holidays but first time staying on a caravan park. Wigley Orchard more than met expectations and the caravan was really roomy for our family of four. I'm a keen bird watcher and saw a lot of Kingfishers and Woodpeckers around.
