The uniquely named Bobby Shafto Caravan Park takes its name from the nursery rhyme character of Bobby Shafto!

With a wonderful secluded location in the heart of Durham countryside this would make an excellent choice for a relaxing holiday.

There are lots of great days out on the doorstep.  Head to Beamish Open Air Museum and step back in time.

The city of Durham itself is also beautiful. Full of history, cobbled streets, a castle and of course the Cathedral it's a charming place to explore.

Shopping, cafes and restaurants are also waiting to be discovered.

Further afield the vibrant city of Newcastle is within easy driving distance and is full of fantastic shops, bars, museums and cafes.  The Hancock Museum and The Centre of Life are well worth a visit.

The caravans come with all the mod cons you need including flatscreen TVs and double glazing, making them cosy all year round.  The Beamish Premier 3 is a new contemporary accommodation with spacious open plan living area and 3 bedrooms.

Our Top Tip
"Take a trip into Durham city and walk around the magnificent Cathedral and grounds."

Nice quiet site.

The only thing I noticed that I could fault was that the info for shop/clubhouse opening times were not the same in the windows to the info board or the manual in the caravan. Everything else was spot on perfect. Great caravan park.
