Sandy Bay

Northumberland » North Seaton

Sandy Bay holiday park makes a great place to visit if you are looking for a UK holiday on a budget.  The caravans are well equipped and well located with the park itself overlooking a sandy bay.  Some of the highlights of Sandy Bay holiday park include the indoor pool, the Sparkys Krew kids club and the Boathouse Bar and Restaurant.  The Beach Showbar is the place to head for some evening entertainment including cabarets.

There are a large selection of 2 and 3 bed caravans on offer which all have TV, kitchen with microwave as well as bathroom facilities including a shower. Prices start from just £21 per night at the time of writing which makes this place real value for money.

Outside the park there are some fun family days out within easy reach.  Apart from the local beach which is perfect for sunny days, there are plenty of local places to visit including Alnwick Gardens, the setting for Hogwarts in Harry Potter films

Visitor Reviews of Whitley Bay Holiday Park

Donna, Balloch
Date of stay: 18th October 2019
Second time at Whitley bay holiday park
Cant fault the site staff or location
Perfect for a family holiday
Fiona, Middlesbrough
Date of stay: 18th October 2019
Caravan small not much room round beds. Living area loads of space. Could also do with some coat hooks and hooks in bathroom for clothes. Fire in living room didn't work very well. Bedroom had blow heaters which warmed bedrooms up fast.
Lynda, East Grinstead
Date of stay: 27th September 2019
Lovely size, nice and clean, heating and shower worked well but lighting too dim for people with bad eyes.
Andrew, Bingley
Date of stay: 27th September 2019
Excellent caravan, well equipt with double glazing and central heating. Could do with more storage space in the kitchen area as you need to do a bigger supermarket shop due to lack of eating options on site.
Valerie, Jarrow
Date of stay: 30th August 2019
Enjoyed a lovely caravan holiday. The site was impressive, clean and pretty.
Malcolm, Newcastle

Joan, Essex
Date of stay: 28th June 2019
Enjoyed the holiday, perfect place to catch up with friends and family.
Mavis, Rowlands Gill
Date of stay: 21st June 2019
Ideal for couples and walkers too but also bear in mind it is a family holiday centre and the children and the youngsters have to be catered for too. One could just avoid the busiest times in the restaurant if you wanted a quieter evening. Still highly recommend.
Claire, Sunderland

Jackie, Newcastle
Date of stay: 3rd September 2018
Only comment is that the sheets were too small, otherwize it was great and we would certainly come back.
Lesley, Middlesbrough
Date of stay: 31st August 2018
Very spacious caravan and surprisingly comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen.
I think that BBQ areas with picnic tables would be a good idea maybe dotted around the different caravan zones as we would have liked to have eaten outside when the weather was nice rather than cooking on small disposable bbqs and then taking the food back inside the caravan to eat.
Amanda, Hartlepool
Date of stay: 20th August 2018
Great caravan park would gladly come back
Sarah, Derby
Date of stay: 20th August 2018

Emma, Barnsley
Date of stay: 17th August 2018

Amanda, Hartlepool
Date of stay: 27th July 2018
It was a decent family holiday .. There is not much to do on site apart from swimming and the club house. But plenty to do in local surroundings, we didn't find ourselves bored or lost for stuff to do, Overall we are really pleased and would go again.
Gail, Scottish Borders
Date of stay: 6th July 2018
Very enjoyable holiday
Patricia, Chester Le Street
Date of stay: 29th June 2018
Fabulous van ...very roomy and very clean..en-suite which was a surprise.
Confirmed purchaser
Weather was a let down but we still enjoyed our holiday
Christopher
The only issue I have is that the caravan heating system was useless.Wall radiators were a complete waste of time . The main electric fire wasn't strong enough to warm quickly. Would suggest this is a Summer caravan .The caravan itself was excellent
Catherine
We had a wonderful visit. Clean site, lovely accommodation and Darren in the restaurant was fabulous. Just wish the British weather had been as impressive!
Sharon
I absolutely loved the caravan. It was beautiful. My only issue was that there is no path to the stairs into the van & due to the weather the grass got very muddy. The location to the entertainment was fantastic!! The entertainment was fabulous also. The price of food & drink was a bit steep. There was plenty of things to do if we so desired. This was my second trip to Whitley Bay & it won’t be my last. My 9yr old daughter enjoyed it also.
Jean
We hired a static caravan for four nights as we needed to be close to the Freeman hospital as my wife was being admitted there.
