Mattresses were solid, probably a personal preference. Heating was not easy to operate thermostat seemed slow to react to change temp. Everything else was great.

Would certainly recommend this accommodation and location if you are looking for a quiet spot but close to a bustling town like St. Andrews. We made best use of our bikes where we could cycle straight into the town on the adjacent cycle / walkway road.

Even during this period of Covid hot tubs and saunas were operational and the staff checked and cleaned the hot tub every day. Great holiday and will be going back in the future.

Loved the place - ideal for two couples and a baby.

One complaint would be that the doors are very squeeky so not ideal for putting small children to bed.

We had the most wonderful time at St Andrews Forest Lodges. I always book direct with them as they go over and above to accomdate our needs. There was a nice wee touch of a “first foot gift” in our lodge. What a great way to finish 2019 and start 2020. Lodges well equipped so much so we didn’t need to leave for dajys. When we eventually did decide to venture out St Andrews is minutes away in a taxi. We also were recommended a takeaway which delivered. Can’t wait to return :)

Enjoyable stay. Only thing is, if you aren’t going to arrive before the reception closes, make sure they tell you which lodge you’re staying in. I had emailed in advance and was told the manager had a copy of my reply email. We expected a note of our lodge to be on the reception door but nothing. Eventually found a phone number on the paperwork and told which lodge. Not really satisfactory! That’s the only problem we’ve had.
Monica

Audrey
A wee hidden gem. So quiet and peaceful. A short drive to St Andrew’s and other coastal towns. Nice that it is a small site. Good choice of lodges
Jean
The lodge was excellent and we were sorry to have to cut our visit short due to work pressures. So we didn’t get chance to enjoy sauna and hot tub. But would recommend the lodge to friends,
Mike
Great place to stay , place was clean & comfortable , hot tubs cleaned before & after use , accommodation spacious and well laid out. 5 mins in car to St.Andrews . A few minor maintenance issues with showers and kitchen tap , but certainly worth a 9 out of 10 rating. Would certainly come back.
Karen
As a couple in a 2 bedroom lodge. We really enjoyed our stay. Surroundings lovely, very peaceful. The hot tub was an added bonus after long beach walks. Lodge clean and well equipped. Good location near St Andrews. Will definately return
