It was fine.i liked the hooks everywhere. I suppose a bit more space and plushness would have made it a 10 but I thought it was REALLY well designed.

The prestige caravan was great really clean loads of space for the kids

Facilities were good , the outside pool was very cold but it is May so to be expected ,

Didn't go to the clubhouse apart from for bingo so can't comment

My only complaint would be there's not much good food choice on the site , other than that all good

Staff all friendly and helpful

Caravan was very comfortable with lots of storage. A bath mat would of been helpful to prevent slips. A better description of the caravan would of been helpful as the freezer was bigger than we thought so we could of bought more frozen bits with us.

The site is quite remote and not very close to anything. Our main criticism is the 'beach'. It is in fact a scruffy foreshore which if it were developed could be glorious. To say the site has it's own beach is somewhat misleading and contours up visions of Spanish costas etc. We were very disappointed with this aspect as it was a major factor in choosing this site. We drove the claimed six minutes (actually took fifteen minutes) to Clacton beach so as not to disappoint the kids. Apart from this, the site, staff and caravan were all excellent. We went on a voucher deal and hence got a great price. The standard prices are exorbitant !

the park is clean the toilets are all clean . we will return . thank you every one
Lisa
We had a fantastic time despite the snow!, see you again in the summer 😁
Cherie
We had a great time .caravan great clean and tidy but there was a smell in smaller bedroom but we had a lovely holiday and will be booking for next year .
Jemma
Lovely holiday through staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The location can be tricky to find but once there it's lovely. However there should of been a notice or a information sheet explaining that certain gates are owners gates only. A map should be provided of where you should go to access the facilities.
Lesley
I really liked the caravan. We had a great location and the shop was very useful. We walked the dog every day and he enjoyed his time with us but unfortunately we had to leave him locked in the caravan more than he would've liked. Overall 10/10. What's not to like?
Martin
The orchards campsite is one of the best me and my family have ever stayed at, the park is so large with so much to do, really helpful staff and great value for money.

Colchester Zoo is a fantastic place to visit with something for all the family.  Wander around and see the array of animals in excellent habitats.  Don't forget to visit the Leopards at Ussuri Falls, this new expansion can be located opposte the White Tiger Valley and the Medellin Momkeys.  Other popular areas of the zoo include Tiger Taiga, Chimp World and Wallaby Walkabout.   Look out for special events throughout the year such as Shriek Week on Halloween.  If you book tickets online you can obtain a discount of 10% and are also fast tracked on entry to the zoo - a great idea in the school holidays.

The Big Adventure rides include the Dragon's Claw, Rage and Vortex.  For younger children there is just as much fun on offer with rides like the Cow Jump, Over the Hill and Dragon. Mini Rides include the Choo Choo Train, Crooked House and Flying Jumbos.  When you have ran out of energy you could have a wander round the gift shop and perhaps buy a souvenir of your day.

This attraction is currently under construction but we are looking forward to it opening in early 2011.  The philosophy of the Discovery Centre is 'healthy body, healthy mind, healthy planet and aims to change people's attitudes and actions towards our planet.  Educational as well as fun there are plenty of activities such as outdoor sport pitches, cycle and walking trails and indoor activity rooms.  This is a unique attraction for the whole family.

This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.

Wildwood Trust is well worth a visit if you are staying in the local area.  You can experience close encounters with native wildlife - all in a beautiful forest setting.  You will find this attraction between the coastal town of Herne Bay and the ancient city of Canterbury.  There is a wide variety of animals to see including badgers, foxes and otters. Kids will also love the animal encounters sessions, playground and games and quizzes.  Check out their website for the latest admission prices which are excellent value for a family day out in Kent.
