Fun Days Out in Dorset

This has to be our favourite attraction in the area located amidst the woodland area of Dorset.  This is a monkey sanctuary and you will get the unique opportunity to see all of the great work that's carried out by the staff - and of course see the 160 plus primates for yourself. Situated over 65 acres this is a fantastic environment for the monkeys.

If you like museums then this is one with a difference.  Families will love wondering around this building looking at the earliest antique teddy bears and more modern teddy bears from today.  A real highlight is Edward Bear and his family of people sized bears which are hard to miss!  This popular Dorset attraction is also excellent value for money.

Kingston Maurward Gardens and Animal Park is a must if you are enjoying a family holiday to Dorset. The Majestic gardens are simply stunning and include formal areas with gorgeous floral displays as well as a pretty terrace, a temple and a lake. The animal park area is great fun for children with plenty of friendly creatures including goats and adorable pot bellied pigs. The site also has a visitors centre with shop. At well under £20.00 for a family ticked it isExcellent value too.

The caravans are set on different levels so the view is not impaired by other vans, the caravan was tidy and well equipped. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for clothes.

Our ca r scan was quite old and the furnishings were tired. The curtains in the living area did not meet properly. As we had dogs with us I guess we weren't allocated the best.

The apartment had all the basic amenities (including a toaster) and the room was clean and fresh.
Only slight drawback was a musty smell in the entrance area of the apartment block.

only thing I didn't like was leather/vinyl sofas. Bed comfortable and bedding very clean.
Good place to stay
Great place to be based. Good bus service stopping outside the park, so after a good walk could catch the bus back.
could do with free wifi
We loved it here, although the apartment was stuck in the nineties it was really clean. The club house was modern and the staff were very friendly. The evening entertainment was good, there was something for everyone. The restaurant has a good variety of food and was at a reasonable price. The site is in walking distance to Charmouth Beach and a five minute drive to our favourite place West Bay.
We loved everything about the site, so different from others that we have stayed in, the area is fantastic and very beautiful, so many places to see and visit. What really ticked our box was the simplicity of the site, and the club house, and story time for the children was really the icing on the cake. Will be back without a doubt.
Lovely last minute break park & lodge fantastic :)
We had a lovely caravan with fantastic views across the valley. The site was kept to a very high standard and would consider using this site again at some time in the future.
Lovely clean apartment, only one negative, the walls are very thin and any conversations and noise such as the taps running can be heard quite clearly. It wouldn't put us off booking again but would prefer a caravan or detached lodge in the future. On the whole we had an enjoyable holiday.
