This has to be our favourite attraction in the area located amidst the woodland area of Dorset. This is a monkey sanctuary and you will get the unique opportunity to see all of the great work that's carried out by the staff - and of course see the 160 plus primates for yourself. Situated over 65 acres this is a fantastic environment for the monkeys.
If you like museums then this is one with a difference. Families will love wondering around this building looking at the earliest antique teddy bears and more modern teddy bears from today. A real highlight is Edward Bear and his family of people sized bears which are hard to miss! This popular Dorset attraction is also excellent value for money.

Keep coming back
We have been camping and caravanning at Newlands on and off for twenty year - whilst it has always been fun, staying in a warm and comfy lodge these days is far preferable.
The caravan was clean and tidy and had plenty of room, the only thing that was lacking was coat hooks.
Caravan could have been cleaner, we cleaned the skirting boards ourselves as don't think they had ever been touched. Need more cooking equipment, baking trays etc and why only one shelf in oven, should have been two.

Lovely holiday, everything we needed.

Lovely clean chalet. Bed and sofa very comfortable. Kitchen with hob and microwave fine as we planned our menus about that. Nice bathroom and shower, not the strongest in the world but still okay. One thing was chalet has a skylight which had no blind to it so even if curtains were shut, as soon as the sun was up, it was light in the sleeping area. Maybe have a blind at the bottom of the shafts it is at the top of, to deal with this issue? Overall rating (and comfort) would be a 10 if this was fixed.
Nice area and good park
I have never been on a Caravan holiday or break before and had reservations about going but my wife wanted to fulfil a dream of having a Caravan holiday as she used to do as a child.
When we walked into the Caravan it was spotlessly clean and I was so very surprised how comfortable it was. Anything we were not sure about a man was there to sort things out for us. It could not have been better. The staff were very efficient and courteous and the
Clubhouse was very nice with good food. Well done Newlands
lovely park, apartment was modern and clean with everything we needed. we have already booked again for next year
This was our first time at Newlands and we were impressed and hope to go back again. We booked a three bedroom lodge for the two of us - loads of room and well fitted and kitted out. A great standard is kept up at Newlands, both inside and out. Terrific swimming pool and we were both very impressed with the bar area. The countryside around Newlands is very picturesque and needs much more exploring. We enjoyed visiting the local small towns and whoever was in charge of the weather.... It's definitely somewhere we'd like to return too!
Great location, fantastic views, close to other attractions. And a very good restaurant.
We have been coming to Newlands for many years, firstly with a touring caravan, then a motorhome, then in static vans and now in the Pearl Apartments. We have always had a great time. Everywhere is always clean and tidy, the restaurant serves good food.
There are play areas for families with young children and entertainment in the evenings. Also two good sized swimming pools. Something for everyone.
