Wales Holiday Parks

Wales is a beautiful and relaxing choice for a holiday and the holiday parks in this region have some of the most beautiful and rugged settings in the UK.  Magnificent Snowdonia is just waiting to be explored in the north whereas the south has a more laid back feel with sunny beaches.  Seaside towns make fun days out and there is no where better than the resort of Tenby which has no less than 3 Blue Flag beaches.  The more lively resorts of Rhyl and Prestatyn are also well worth a visit.  For family fun head for the theme parks in Pembrokeshire.

Fun Days Out in Wales

Located in Anglesey in the North of Wales this has to be one of our favourite attractions in the area.  The maze of ramps, slides and tubes will keep the little ones entertained and allow to them to run off their excess energy.  For kids aged 1 to 10 we highly recommend this place.

Situated in the Gwynedd area of Wales this neo-Norman castle is well worth a visit.  Full of historic and fascinating objects this Castle will appeal to many.  Some of the highlights include the amazing collection of paintings, The Victorian Kitchen, the Servants Rooms, the one ton slate bed made for Queen Victoria and the mock Norman furniture.

This is a popular theme park for kids of all ages where you can follow Dinosaur Trails, play on the adventure playgrounds and on rainy days head for the indoor play den.  You will find this attraction in the Tenby area of Mid Wales and we think it's great value for money.  If you fancy a snack while you are there then the Dinosaur Restaurant and Picnic Area are on hand.

If you like gardens then this place is sure to appeal.  With some of the most rare plants in the country and even in the world your visit will help to protect some of these species.  Attractions within the Botanic Garden include a mini farm, discovery centre, adventure zone and bee garden.  Located in the Llanarthne area of Mid Wales this place is easily accessible from many of the holiday parks in the area.

Greenwood Forest Park is the premier family fun park in Wales and has lots to offer for adults and children alike. Recent Reviews of Wales Holiday Parks

Park: Ty Mawr
Date of stay: June 2010
I stayed at Ty Mawr for 3 nights earlier this year and our children aged 5 and 9 really enjoyed it especially the indoor pool. The weather was a bit rubbish so this was a life saver. The entertainment on a night was a bit hit and miss but the cabaret show on the Saturday night was good. We have booked to go back to Wales next year but are staying at the Barmouth Bay park for a change.
