Solway Holiday Village has a beautiful setting in Cumbria and is the ideal base to explore the Lake District and take a trip to Hadrian's Wall. This holiday park will appeal to those looking for an active holiday as there are plenty of good quality sporting facilities and activities on offer.
Facilities on site include an indoor heated leisure pool with Spa, Jacuzzi, 9 Hole Golf Course, Tennis Courts and even an Animal Farm to enjoy.
This holiday park is well designed and expertly run so you can be assured of a good quality holiday. At certain times of the year you can also enjoy evening entertainment on certain nights of the week including Karaoke and Disco.
Kids will love the Children's Club for 4-12s where they can make new friends and try out new activities. The children's club runs from the end of March to the beginning of November.
Accommodation is a selection of bungalows and caravans as well as lodge accommodation. We like the Ullswater Chalet bungalow which offers excellent value for money and sleeps 4. The North Lake Lodge is also great value and sleeps 5. This is a deluxe lodge with one double, one twin and one single bedroom. The lodge is double glazed and centrally heated. For larger parties the Buttermere Chalet Plus is a good option as it sleeps up to 8.

Both children and adults will enjoy a day out here where you can see over 100 species of animals including Zebras and Antelope. At set times you can go an see Birds of Prey flying displays as well as Zoo Keeper Presentations which are educational as well as fun. If the weather is not on your side then you can make the most of the indoor heated play area and modern cafe. Located at Coalbeck Farm in Cumbria we think this is a must for families. |
