Accommodation is a selection of bungalows and caravans as well as lodge accommodation. We like the Ullswater Chalet bungalow which offers excellent value for money and sleeps 4. The North Lake Lodge is also great value and sleeps 5. This is a deluxe lodge with one double, one twin and one single bedroom. The lodge is double glazed and centrally heated. For larger parties the Buttermere Chalet Plus is a good option as it sleeps up to 8.

A trip to Cumbria wouldn't be complete without a cruise on the lake and what better way to do this than on an Ullswater Steamer. Ullswater is widely regarded as the most beautiful of all of the lakes in the area. This award winning attraction has been in business for 150 years and currently has four vessels operating Ullswater lake cruises. A further option is to combine a lake cruise with some of the most breathtaking walks in the area.
Lakeland's Wildlife Discovery Centre is the perfect place for a fun day out which is also educational. The unique centre offers visitors the chance to explore many species of exotic wildlife through interactive 'hands-on' displays. These clever displays travel through 3,000 million years of evolution from the development of life on Earth. The centre is home to some of the world's most threatened species and plays an important role in international breeding.

Never imagined I would get to see a zebra at the farm, such an amazing experience, will defiantly be returning.
Our 3 year old daughter HATES the shower & swimming, in the Orlando gold 3 she asked for a shower every morning & before bed! She wanted to drive all the way back for a shower on Monday night after arriving back at home!!!!
Caravan so clean it looked new. Everything in the kitchen you would need.
We were very impressed with the caravan, great value for money, had everything we expected it to. Very comfortable and clean.
The accommodation was good, all of us slept well. The kitchen could do with an upgrade, the coin meter for electricity only takes the old £1 coins which was a hassle. The Chalet was clean. Our DVD player did not work, but onsite maintenance staff replaced it within an hour.
Lovely accommodation could not be faulted
Had a great time, caravan wasn't as clean as normal, but overall the holiday village is great value for money, lovely place to stay for a relaxing break
The caravan was excellent except a stool was broken on our arrival and a shelf was broke in one of the bedrooms, and just stuck back on not very well though.
The chalet was very very clean. Can't fault it however it can do with a bit of updating.
Loved every minute
Extremely happy with caravan. Very clean and looked like new.
Lovely chalet for the offer we got. Nice area however we felt we needed our car as we did quite a bit of sightseeing. The site was clean and tidy. Dog friendly area.
3 night break at a great dicount! Well enjoyed - only regret we didn't extend our stay! Lovely park, swimming pool, BMX track & sea view all within 5 minute walk - ideal!
enjoyable stay site very clean and tidy, well laid out.
We had a fantastic time at Solway Holiday Village, the children (5 and 3 years) loved everything. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful, the play ground is fantastic and we spent nearly half the day there. The facilities at the caravan site are brilliant, we really enjoyed the swimming pool and the free arm bands hire and toys were a great touch. We enjoyed the kids scavenger hunt, but didn't use the night time entrainment due to they were little to small. Silloth is a lovely little village with a fanatic play park and outside water play, we really enjoyed donkey rides. We will be back!
I was really worried after reading so many bad reviews about this place I went with my husband son daughter in law and granddaughter we had an amazing time the children's entertainment at night was good as he got all the children involved and some of the adults to all the staff at the park were extremely polite and couldn't do enough for you our toilet was blocked I let reception know and a maintenance man was there in minutes problem solved please don't listen to bad reviews about this place . The whole family can't wait to go back there i got this chalet at a good deal and as soon as another one comes up we will be back there
