Both children and adults will enjoy a day out here where you can see over 100 species of animals including Zebras and Antelope.  At set times you can go an see Birds of Prey flying displays as well as Zoo Keeper Presentations which are educational as well as fun. If the weather is not on your side then you can make the most of the indoor heated play area and modern cafe.  Located at Coalbeck Farm in Cumbria we think this is a must for families...

A trip to Cumbria wouldn't be complete without a cruise on the lake and what better way to do this than on an Ullswater Steamer.  Ullswater is widely regarded as the most beautiful of all of the lakes in the area.  This award winning attraction has been in business for 150 years and currently has four vessels operating Ullswater lake cruises.  A further option is to combine a lake cruise with some of the most breathtaking walks in the area.

Described as the number one attraction in Carlisle this place makes a fantastic day out for all the family.  Suitable for all weathers you can take in interesting exhibitions and enjoy interactive fun.  Lookout for special events which take place at various times of year such as Easter weekend and summer holidays. Open daily all year round.

Lakeland's Wildlife Discovery Centre is the perfect place for a fun day out which is also educational. The unique centre offers visitors the chance to explore many species of exotic wildlife through interactive 'hands-on' displays. These clever displays travel through 3,000 million years of evolution from the development of life on Earth. The centre is home to some of the world's most threatened species and plays an important role in international breeding.

Stanwix Park Reviews

This was our second holiday to the park and I was a bit worried that returning would be a disapointment, but we had a perfect time again! It an excellent value family site. We love the swimming pool and the children's entertainment in the evenings. We stayed in the apartments which are clean and well equiped. We hope to return soon!

Fantastic caravan site, plenty to do for kids and adults. Entertainment every night. Indoor and outdoor swimming pool, gym, arcades, cabaret bar adults only and entertainment for kids every night.
The staff were excellent when I was taken ill upon arriving only spent a couple of days there instead off the week but enjoyed it.
Had a brilliant time, we went for the first time last year and enjoyed it so much booked this year too, probably going to come back again next year. The staff are all friendly and the entertainment for the kids is good my little girl had a great time . Ideal location to walk into Silloth, and a short drive to The Gincase Farm Park (great day out)
First time here as a parent. Always came when younger. Chose the appartment to have more space with a 9 month old. Very spacious , could do with a little freshen up but really enjoyed it. Would maybe stay in an upper appartment next time due to chairs being dragged from 7am to 11.30pm from people above us.
Amazing weekend away. Can't wait to return :)
Great stay weather rubbish !
Fab little holiday with great onsite facilities. Sadly due to the weather we didn't get to use the outdoor pool, but the indoor pool was fab, soft play small but good and kids love the 2p slot machines too.
Both my wife and I did like the Holiday Park and we thought the facilities were excellent. We would stay again as a base for exploring the area which was our original plan when booking the break. Unfortunately, we had to book out early due to my wife's illness. The only downside was that: The adult entertainment not starting till very late. My wife doesn't drink or smoke and did enjoy playing the bingo in the club. However, due to medication my wife takes we usually have to leave between 9 and 10. Which left the early part of the night with very little to do. The odd night we did manage to stay the Entertainment was quite good. However, This is just a personal comment and not meant as nothing more than that just, a comment. I was not impressed with the Tribute Show to Abba. I expect performers do get off nights like we all do from time to time. Maybe that was just one of them nights. Other than the above comments we did enjoy our stay at Stanwix Park and would consider staying again.
