A trip to Cumbria wouldn't be complete without a cruise on the lake and what better way to do this than on an Ullswater Steamer.  Ullswater is widely regarded as the most beautiful of all of the lakes in the area.  This award winning attraction has been in business for 150 years and currently has four vessels operating Ullswater lake cruises.  A further option is to combine a lake cruise with some of the most breathtaking walks in the area.

Described as the number one attraction in Carlisle this place makes a fantastic day out for all the family.  Suitable for all weathers you can take in interesting exhibitions and enjoy interactive fun.  Lookout for special events which take place at various times of year such as Easter weekend and summer holidays. Open daily all year round.

Lakeland's Wildlife Discovery Centre is the perfect place for a fun day out which is also educational. The unique centre offers visitors the chance to explore many species of exotic wildlife through interactive 'hands-on' displays. These clever displays travel through 3,000 million years of evolution from the development of life on Earth. The centre is home to some of the world's most threatened species and plays an important role in international breeding.

Stanwix Park Reviews

Isobel Donoghue
This was our second holiday to the park and I was a bit worried that returning would be a disapointment, but we had a perfect time again! It an excellent value family site. We love the swimming pool and the children's entertainment in the evenings. We stayed in the apartments which are clean and well equiped. We hope to return soon!

Overall a great time
lovely site and lovely location ,Had a great week
Had a lovely week Monday-Friday, great location, didn't use any of the facilities as I took my pet.
Caravan park was lovley and caravan was great for what we paid very clean staff friendly
Myself, husband and 2 children (6 and 10months) all had a great time at Stanwix Park. The entertainment staff did a fabulous job of keeping the children entertained and also were very welcoming and friendly. The facilities were clean and easy accessible, my only recommendation would be for more family changing areas/baby changes be added to the swimming pool facilities as we often had to wait for the family change to become free which is not great when you and your baby are waiting to get dry. We would definitely return here in the future.
great time had by all
Brilliant park and facilities..
