Ferry Marina is the ideal base for a short break in Norfolk at any time of the year. Located in a picture postcard village by the waterside the setting is idyllic. Within Ferry Marina holiday park you can enjoy use of the swimming pool or hire one of the cruisers for the day.

For days out you are within easy access of the Bure Valley railway, Wroxham Barns craft centre and Hoveton Hall Gardens, all just a short drive away. And of course you can discover the stunning Norfolk Broads by boat. Another bonus is exclusive fishing rights outside your property during the fishing season (closed 15 March - 15 June).

The cottages and apartments are well furnished and well designed. The Marina Outlook is a spacious first floor apartment which faces the marina with a kingsize double and one twin room. Quayside Cottage is new in 2009 and perfect for couples. This cottage has open plan living and a private terrace. Other options include Broadmere cottage which sleeps 4 and Marina Vista cottage which sleeps 6.

Fun Days Out in Norfolk

Banham Zoo

This zoo is based in the Banham area of Norfolk as the name suggests, and has actually been described as one of the most exciting wildlife attractions in the country.  Located amidst 35 acres of parkland the setting is certainly spectacular.  With over 1000 animals from big cats to birds of prey - this is an education as well as a fun day out. Younger children will love the indoor soft play area and the Tarzan Towers adventure play area.

Dinosaur Adventure Park

This is one of the most popular days out in Norfolk and will appeal to the whole family.  You can explore the history of Dinosaurs on the fun Dinosaur trail and discover more animals in the Secret Animal Garden.  We think this adventure park is excellent value for money.  For an small additional charge you could take part in the Deer Safari which we think is well worth doing. As described on their own website this really is a "Monster Day Out".

Sheringham Park
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.

Ferry Marina Cottages Reviews

Excellent all round. Very clean, modern, well equipped, comfortable. The cottage does have towels and a pack of toiletries provided in each bedroom, the beds are massive!
The kitchen is spotless with plentiful pots and pans, pyrex bowls, modern cutlery, crockery and utensils, also wine glasses.
The cottage also has WI-FI but it is rather slow.

Would highly recommend and happily stay here again.

Accommodation type: Bittern Cottage
Very large property perfect for two families, the only negative is the floorboards upstairs create a huge amount of noise in the bedrooms below, because of this I would not stay at this property again.

Lovely cottage in peaceful location but still close to the village.
Exceptionally clean and modern. Well equipped.
Thomas
we really enjoyed our holiday even though it snowed it was still very picturesque
Colin
Excellent cottages set in relaxing surroundings with good views, parking for 2 - 3 cars at Kestrel Cottage. Keys are picked up at local reception at end of marina - a note on the booking form or cottage door would have been helpful! Helpful and very friendly staff, the reception also hires good quality boats for half and full days. There are cheaper boats elsewhere but you get what you pay for!
Christine

Jennifer

Marie

Peter
The only problem was no Internet which was a pain being self employed even being on holiday still need to be in touch
Russell
A well appointed, well positioned accommodation which provides good value for money
Dawn
The cottage was much bigger inside than it looked, we were very comfortable and the surrounding g are was good for visiting the broads. We hired a boat on two occasions and always found the hoseseasons staff helpful. The one thing which let the cottage down was a non stick frying pan.
