Amazing lodge layout and location is fantastic, staff helpful, lodges themselves are showing signs of heavy usage, shower temp dials fall off, damage and marks on most walls, bi-fold doors broken, sitting room chair broken and needs the legs tightening so unusable, hot tub arm broken, which means lifting the heavy cover on and off, so if you have limited movement you would struggle to use(this is being replaced, they are waiting parts).All in all nothing to put you off going, but could be a 5 star and justify the money more with a little TLC.

The lodge was spacious, with a large living area, breakfast bar and dining table. To the rear a large decking area with four person hot tub and a further garden area with seats enough for six.

The master bedroom with king bed and en suite was huge, two bedrooms with king beds, a fourth bedroom with twin beds and shared bathroom with large walk in shower.

The only thing that could have improved the quality of stay was the bed quality, all beds were metal frame and made some noise when moving around.

In the main the lodge was clean but definitely not a deep clean as recommended. Huge clumps of dark hair in one of the bedrooms. Not mine as Iâ€™m blonde!

The lodge was just missing scissors which would have been helpful when opening up food bags etc, not quite enough space to sit 8 all in the same place ie round the table or in the hot tub but we made it work

Brilliant & cosy cottage far enough out the way to be secluded but close enough to local amenities. Amazing hotub & bathroom with underfloor heating throughout tops it off. The owners, Rob & Sharon are wonderful! (And of course Bonnie) Will definitely be coming back again for longer ASAP!!

It was everything we wanted for our weekend away and we loved staying here. We'll definitely be back! Our pups absolutely loved the underfloor heating and had so much fun in the garden. In fact Luna came home with a strained tail and according to the vet it was because she was wagging it so much over the weekend!! Very happy pups and hoomans!

The lovely cottage is situated on a working farm, but is very private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are delightful. The cottage is very spacious with good equipment in the kitchen and the bathroom. This is the second time we have been here within a few months first at the Maple Lodge and this time at the Oak Lodge. Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish, breathtaking lodges with panoramic views. Plenty activities available and Nottingham City only 20mins Drive, Tesco, Home Bargains Mac’ds only 1mile away. The lighting at night outside is fantastic for hot tub and to do a bbq anytime day or night with shelter. All I can say is it’s a hidden gem book it and you won’t regret it. Look out for offers!
