North Devon is renowned for its beautiful coastline and the sheer variety of watersports available, such as windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing and diving. Surrounded by the gorgeous beaches at Ilfracombe and Woolacombe, Manleigh Park has a wealth of walks and cycle routes on the doorstep, as well as excellent facilities and comfortable, well equipped accommodation.
There is a superb bar and clubhouse, which you can bring your own drinks and snacks to, as well as a launderette on site. WiFi access is also available. There are plenty of places nearby to eat and drink. Barnstaple has a good choice of restaurants - The Garden Restaurant has wonderful views across the Taw estuary and lots of outdoor seating. Ragamuffins Bistro in Braunton is renowned for its locally caught fish and seafood.
We recommend the Manleigh Chalet - it sleeps up to four people and has been nicely refurbished. It has an open plan living area and patio doors that lead out to the verandah, plus a well equipped kitchen with microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The chalet has panoramic views across the valley.
Lynmouth Bay is excellent for surfers thanks to its hair-raising waves! The village itself is also well worth a visit; its streets are full of character and history. Barnstaple Heritage Centre is a fun day out - it has touch screen interactive computers and mock-ups that bring the history of the town to life.
