We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely modern lodge. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, making it very comfortable. The location is gorgeous, with views of sheep grazing in the fields while relaxing in the hot tub. It’s only about 10 minutes to Tesco and some shops. The staff are super friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway.

We just got back from a four-night stay at this charming cottage and honestly, we had a great time! The owners were super friendly and helpful, but they didn’t feel intrusive at all-just there if you needed anything. Our dog loved the big fenced garden and the place had everything we could possibly need. We even enjoyed a BBQ one evening and the hot tub was fantastic. Definitely planning to come back and already told our friends about it. Thanks for a lovely break!

We recently stayed at the Nith Valley and honestly, it felt like a fresh breath of air since it only opened in 2020. The place is really spacious and all the modern amenities are spot on. Wi-fi was reliable, which is always a plus. It was spotless and followed all COVID safety measures. The hot tub was definitely a highlight. We went for the two-bedroom because of the modern vibe and honestly, it was worth the extra cost.

We spent a week here in mid-July with our two tiny dachshunds and honestly, they loved every moment-making friends in the charming village of Thaxted was a highlight. The cottage itself is really lovely; the hot tub was such a treat, especially since the weather was scorching-cooler water made it much more enjoyable. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming and it was nice to see their dogs taken out to the fields daily. Being close to Stansted’s flight path, we enjoyed watching the planes come in. Definitely a place we’d recommend!

After finally getting a chance to unwind post-lockdown, we had a lovely stay here. The lodge was spotless and really well put together, which made us feel at home right away. We especially enjoyed the hot tub - such a treat after a day out - and the big, comfy king-sized bed was perfect for a good night's sleep. One small thing we’d suggest is adding hooks on the back of the bathroom door for robes and towels, as they tend to get used a lot when coming in and out of the hot tub and there wasn’t always space on the radiator. Overall though, we loved our trip and would happily return!

We had a lovely weekend at the lodge. It’s modern, spacious and super comfy, with everything we needed already there. The place was spotless and the hot tub was a real treat! Quiet location with stunning countryside views, yet only 10 minutes by car to Dumfries. Definitely recommend to friends and family!

We stayed at this lovely lodge and really enjoyed our time. The hot tub was just right after a day out and the beds were super comfy. The showers heated up quickly, which was great. The spiral staircase looked charming, but for families with little ones or mobility concerns, it might be a bit tricky. Still, we loved the overall vibe and would come back!

This was a beautiful lodge, with everything we needed provided. Hot tub was perfect, beds were comfortable, and showers were nice and warm.Only negative we had was the spiral staircase. It looks lovely, but with a toddler and a child with mobility issues, it was a wee bit daunting letting them sleep themselves up there. Love the feature, just maybe not practical for our family.

We stayed at the Criffen VIP for a long weekend in February and honestly, it exceeded our expectations. This lodge is top-notch, really high quality all around. The furnishings-sofas, kitchen units, bedroom furniture-felt luxurious and well-made, no cheap bits anywhere. Internally, it’s spotless and everything works perfectly; we had two fully functioning showers and a proper bath, which was a real treat. The windows and doors are solid double-glazing, so outside noise was minimal, even though the A75 runs nearby. Speaking of outside, the decking at the front and the hot-tub provided perfect privacy and worked just as intended. The hot-tub was great and we loved having the outdoor space with the decking. The sauna, not so much, but we weren’t expecting it to be roasting hot in February anyway, so it didn’t matter. All the staff on-site were friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome. Now, some folks mention the road noise and yes, you can hear it when outside, but it’s faint-nothing that ruins the stay and inside it’s completely silent. A few specifics for those interested: the 50-inch flat-screen TV with Freeview and Bluetooth speakers (even at the hot-tub!), a seven-gas-ring cooker, electric oven, all spotless and working perfectly. Microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher-everything you need. There’s also a washing machine and tumble dryer in the hall cupboard, so you can do laundry without disturbing the peace in the living room. Overall, a superb lodge, genuinely high-quality-nothing was out of place, no marks on the carpets or walls. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious getaway!

We had a really lovely stay at this cottage. The place is spotless and super well equipped, making it feel like a home away from home. Our dog loved the nearby walks and meeting all the animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a real highlight. The host was friendly and communication was smooth. Definitely coming back! Great value!

Lovely peaceful site, with great views of the countryside around. Nothing really close at hand without using a car but you are just off the main A75 so not too far to travel to nearest shops/supermarket. Communication from staff via text to let us know what time our lodge was available from.

Couldn't fault this lodge at all, it was spotlessly clean, everything you need is available. The only thing they could do with is a wee shop for milk, bread etc. The surroundings are immaculate and very well kept, it was a lovely relaxing stay.

We loved our stay here, lodges are impeccable and have everything you could need. The hot tubs are fantastic and really make the stay special. There is so much to do in the local area and the location is perfect as you feel very secluded however still very close to everything. Karen
A lovely peaceful place to go and get away from it all. The place is well maintained with lovely garden areas at each lodge and the lodges are positioned in a way to maximise privacy. The lodges are very easy to find and the owners were very helpful showing up to our lodge and explaining how things work, particularly the hot tub.
