It's not quite up to their usual standard, could do with some tweaks here and there.

We’ve stayed here a few times now and keep coming back. The whole process from check-in to check-out is so smooth, which we really appreciate. The lodges are spotless and well-equipped for self-catering, making everything easy. We love that the hot tubs are enclosed - perfect for privacy and letting the dogs roam freely without worries. Plus, the fact that dogs are welcome is a huge bonus. Prices are fair too and the beds are super comfy. The staff are always friendly and helpful!

Had a lovely weekend here! The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed. Perfect for a chill break with my wife and our dog. We’ll be back for sure!

The lodge wasn’t quite what we expected. The pictures showed a gas hob and double oven, but ours had an induction hob and just a single oven. The pots weren’t suitable for induction and it wasn’t very clean apart from the obvious surfaces and bedding. Bit disappointing, really.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lodge. Plenty of space for six, all rooms were spotless and everything else was well-equipped. Just wish there were extra baking trays!

Honestly, we were pretty disappointed with our stay at the large Braveheart lodge with the games room. The overall condition just wasn’t up to scratch - floors were grimy and the bottom of the curtains in the foyer looked dirty too. The hot tap in the kitchen barely worked and even after raising it with staff, nothing changed. The hot tub was a letdown as well - jets didn’t function properly, which was a shame. The roulette table was stained and filthy, definitely not what we expected based on the advert. We did mention these issues during our stay, but got told we should have complained then - fair enough, but we reckon accommodation should be in good shape from the get-go, right? The games room was pretty rubbish - missing cards, a tiny plastic roulette wheel that wasn’t what was advertised, no proper ball (we got a salt pot with one side flat) and different sized balls on the snooker table. Seriously, basics! They offered us 10% off for next time, but honestly, we’re not convinced we’ll bother. Not cheap and definitely not worth the hassle.

We stayed in one of the bigger lodges and honestly, we weren’t told upfront that the balconies would be closed. That was a bit disappointing since it was something we were looking forward to. The lodges themselves are still lovely, but definitely starting to look a bit tired and could do with a refresh. The location and staff, though, are absolutely fantastic-couldn’t fault them at all!

The lodge was quite disappointing; we found rubbish under the couch and a big lump of old food in the cupboard. No grill pan and the TV didn’t work properly either.

The lodge is pretty decent overall, but it definitely needs some love and care. The spa pool was a bit neglected and the kitchen’s cutlery and glasses were quite sparse for a larger group. Also, we found crisps on the sofa cushions and it wasn’t very clean either.

Honestly, we expected better since it was supposed to be an upgrade. Very disappointed with the whole thing.

Honestly, we were pretty disappointed with our stay. The boiler was broken, so our lodge was freezing, which isn’t ideal when you’ve got two kids. The only things that seemed to be kept tidy were the bedding and the hot tub, but the shower screen was hanging off and not very clean. The staff were really helpful and did their best to assist us, which we appreciated. Still, for what we paid, we wouldn’t be booking here again. It just didn’t feel worth it, sadly.

Honestly, we were pretty disappointed. The carpets were filthy and the laminate flooring was unfinished. Brown stains in the shower and the shower trays wouldn’t drain properly. Fixtures hanging off walls, broken mirrors and no extra towels or robes for the hot tub. Utensils were missing and the coffee table was chewed up. The TV was poor quality too. Not what we expected at all.

Furniture looks quite tired, fixtures are broken and some bits are unusable now.

The park is lovely, with plenty of trees, but it makes the area quite shadowy. The house felt quite plain and minimalistic, almost too bare for our taste. Still, worth a visit!

We recently stayed at the Eagle Spa Pet Lodge for a big family celebration with 6 adults and 4 kids. Honestly, the place was massive and had plenty of space - five big bedrooms, each with its own en-suite, which was handy. But for what we paid, we expected it to be in better shape. The outside was pretty neglected; gutters were clogged with weeds and some down pipes were hanging loose, causing flooding and soggy patches on the lawn. There was even broken glass on the grass near the hot tub, which was a real concern! Inside, things weren’t much better. The laminate flooring was lifting in some of the en-suites and there was damage to the kitchen units, plus water stains around the lodge. The dishwasher was out of action and the kitchen drain was blocked, which was a pain. The hot tub was disappointing too - only a quarter of the jets worked and despite telling staff on day one, it wasn’t fixed during our stay. We had dinner in the restaurant on Saturday night, but the service was pretty shocking - undercooked meat, long waits and some staff were quite rude. On a positive note, the activity barn was fantastic; the staff there were friendly and chilled and the kids loved the activities. Overall, it was a nice family trip in a great location, but the quality of the accommodation was pretty disappointing considering the price. It really could be so much better - Piperdam, get your act together!

We had a fantastic stay at the lodge! It was really roomy and perfect for us. The inside amenities were spot on and everyone was very happy. Only minor thing was the carpets, which were a bit grubby when we arrived and the snooker table felt was patched up with tape, but honestly, it didn’t spoil our trip. We’re definitely recommending it to friends and family!

We were really disappointed with our stay. The place had cleanliness issues, broken furniture, heating problems, drainage troubles and no toiletries. The kitchen was poorly equipped too. Not what we expected.

When we first arrived, the reception team was really friendly and helpful, which was a good start. However, they didn’t mention that the gas hob was broken and despite being told it would be replaced that same day, it wasn’t, so we had no hob for the first day, which was a bit of a pain. The kitchen was a bit grimy, with a thick black scum around the bottom of the wall - definitely could’ve done with a proper clean. The grill was a bit useless since it only had one side rail and no grill pan, so that was a letdown. The washing machine’s handle was loose and sometimes didn’t recognise that the door was shut, which was annoying. We also found there were no basic cleaning supplies like dish soap, sponges, or shower gel and only one bathroom had toilet roll, which was a hassle. The door handle on the balcony door was broken and didn’t lock, so we had to be careful. The sauna tray was full of dirty water and hadn’t been emptied, which isn’t ideal. Throughout the lodge, there were splash marks on the walls that could’ve easily been wiped down and the floors were filthy enough that our babies’ feet turned black - we ended up buying cleaning supplies ourselves. The hot tub was a bit disappointing too - only half the jets worked and not all the lights were functional. If you want to use the arcade games, be sure to bring your own change because reception and bar didn’t have any. On the plus side, the lodge itself is quite nice and the location is spot on. The facilities like the swimming pool, spa and crazy golf were great and it’s good that the hot tubs are checked twice a day. Overall, some things could be better, but we still managed to enjoy our stay.

Honestly, our stay was quite disappointing. The lodge was in a terrible state - showers kept leaking and there was obvious mould where the leaks had been before. The wooden interior looked dirty, especially the greasy walls in the kitchen - it honestly looked like they’d never been cleaned properly. The floors downstairs were so grimy that the kids ended up with dirty marks on their feet after a while. For a place meant to sleep 10 adults, we struggled with basic stuff like enough utensils; there was only one frying pan and no chopping boards, plus missing shelves in the fridge, which was a pain. The facilities outside weren’t much better - the café near the play barn had filthy tables and chairs and the options for food and drinks were pretty limited. Upstairs, the rooms were boiling hot every day. We turned down all the thermostats but it felt like there was underfloor heating on in the middle of summer - no ventilation at all. The fan in the main bathroom was off and the switch was on the ceiling, so we couldn’t turn it on. When we arrived, the balcony was covered in empty beer bottles, so it clearly hadn’t been cleaned. And to top it off, there were only three toilet rolls for a whole week for a lodge that’s supposed to sleep 10 adults! We were so disappointed, we ended up leaving a day early. Honestly, wouldn’t bother going back - it was a waste of our time and money.

We just finished a three-night stay at Rainbow Spa Lodge 77 and honestly, we really enjoyed it. After coming across some pretty negative reviews online, we were a bit unsure if we’d made the right call, but we decided to keep an open mind. From the moment we stepped inside, we were pleasantly surprised-it’s a lovely place, very clean and surprisingly spacious throughout. Sure, some things are a bit old-fashioned and the outdoor area could have done with a quick tidy, but these small issues didn’t spoil our stay. The hot tub and sauna were fantastic and the mobile signal was decent, especially since we’re all with O2. The only thing that let us down a bit was the restaurant - food was pretty bland, tasted like it came straight from a packet. Still, we’re definitely planning to come back!

Overall, the apartment was nice, but it really needs some updates. Adding side tables, bathroom shelves, a full-length mirror and a shaving mirror would make a big difference!
