Within easy reach of bustling Cleethorpes and Pleasure Island Theme Park, this lively and welcoming park has much to offer families. You'll find plenty of facilities right on the doorstep including a wonderful indoor heated pool and Outdoor Adventure Splash Zone.  In the summer months you can take advantage of extra amenities such as the Lazy River and Space Bowl Flume which is always popular with the little ones.

You don't have to venture far for a delicious meal or light snack. Papa John's Pizza, Burger King and a Traditional Fish and Chip shop are just some of the options on the park. Or head to the Cafe Bar for a relaxing drink.  In the evening you can enjoy the sparkling entertainment including shows, discos and cabaret.

We like the Thorpe Prestige Caravans which are 12ft wide and provide a DVD Player and additional heating in the bedrooms.  All of the caravans come with TV and well equipped kitchen with microwave and shower.  The Thorpe Standard Caravans offer excellent value for money.

Pleasure Island Theme Park at Cleethorpes is less than a mile from the holiday park and makes a fantastic family day out.  With over 50 rides and attractions the whole family will be kept entertained. Beware the beach is pet friendly. The site & caravan was beautiful. We will go again though we will drive into cleethorpes to use the beach which doesnt allow dogs to deficate everywhere and run unleashed & out of control

Jan, Sheffield
Date of stay: 28th July 2017
A great stay. The caravan was big enough for three adults and three children, using the bed settee.
I liked the cooking facilities and was able to cook some lovely meals.
The downside was that it was quite squashed sitting around the dining table and the seating was low down for the height of the table.
I would have loved a bigger patio area to sit outside and eat.
Kaye, Manchester
Date of stay: 9th June 2017

The ratings above only apply to the caravan we were transferred to after we complained about the condition and uncleanliness of the first caravan which i would rate at 1 for all catagories.

Date of stay: 4th September 2015
I was bitten to death although not sure if the Mosquitos outside or fleas within the caravan. I was disturbed to find a dirty plaster had been under my sons sheet the whole week when I came to strip the bed on the last day. That spoilt it for us slightly.
Caroline, Lancaster
Date of stay: 24th July 2015

Caravan lovely, clean and well equipped. Twin bedroom ok for us as our grand children are toddlers, may have been abit small for teenagers or adults.
Justin, Oakham
Date of stay: 3rd April 2015
The caravan was quite dirty when I first arrived but once I called the reception it was quickly rectified. The caravan was quite cold and could do with central heating.
Christine, Manchester
Date of stay: 2nd August 2014
Disappointed that quad bikes had gone as children unable to book on last year. Noticed some go carts out of use so always a wait to book them. Small sand gameplay area nice. Coin operated dodgem cars have dwindled down to one - needs addressing. Pool area slides looking a bit rusty. Feel as though this park is getting a bit tired and needs an uplift/refurb.
Rebecca
Date of stay: 26th July 2014
Lovely caravan.
Roy, Derby
Date of stay: 25th July 2014
the park is ok, but supermarket prices are far too high for basic goods,
also the pool and bar are quiet a distant from some caravans for
the elderly a shuttle bus would be nice
Gordon
Date of stay: 11th July 2014
For the size of this park not enough places on the activity programme. Otherwise a great park.
Rachel, Ashington
Date of stay: 27th June 2014
My family really enjoyed their stay at Thorpe park. It was our 2nd time visiting the park and we would definitely recommend to our friends and family. The only downside was that we were about a 15min walk from the caravan to the club so the kids couldn't walk over on their own other than that it was a fab little break. :)
John, Leeds
Date of stay: 30th May 2014

We had a great time, its only about an hour away so easy to get to for a short break. Plenty to do & we are booking another break soon. Only moan I have is £8 for some activity's was a bit much when you have a few kids
Melanie, Pontefract
Date of stay: 18th April 2014
The caravan was much more than I expected for standard, the park was lively, clean and great for the kids. The pool was warm and clean, we were sorry that we missed the slides as they were closed but a great holiday
Janet, Grimsby
Date of stay: 18th April 2014
We were extremely pleased with our caravan, interior was very clean including bedding, cooking facilities, cupboards and their contents. The park was tidy and well kept and the staff all very helpful and approachable. Those young people were so good with the younger children too.

Stayed for 4 nights in the first week of the Easter school holiday 2014. We were a family of 7 including grand parents and found the caravan excellent, the surrounding parkland and communal spaces well maintained, and the staff in particular were fantastic.
Highly recommend

Fun Days Out near Thorpe Park Holiday Centre

about 0 Miles
Wow this is an amazing family theme park and you will probably need the full day to experience it all.  From thrilling rides to family shows, kids of all ages are catered for.  Some of the most popular rides include the Obliterator and The Pendulus, not forgetting the Hypoblaster.   Family shows are entertaining such as the African Acrobat Show which is back by popular demand.  Entrance tickets are good value and if you book online you will receive a discount. To save even more money if you live locally or are visiting the area for a few weeks you could buy a season ticket for around £50 which will allow you entry for the whole season.

Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
about 10 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
about 19 Miles
Easily accessible from our Yorkshire Dales lodge parks is The Deep! An award-winning 'submarium', attraction, which is home to over 3500 fish from around the globe. Visitors can a stroll through Europe's deepest viewing tunnel and take a thrilling a glass lift ride through the 10m deep tank. The Deep is also home to the world's largest exhibition, featuring weird animals from the depths combined with slime! Educational talks and events take place daily so visitors can learn about the conservation projects which the centre is involved in. There is also a fantastic restaurant over looking some of the displays and a souvenir shop. Family tickets are priced at just 32.00.

Normanby Hall Country Park has a fantastically tranquil location Set in the 300 acres of Normanby Hall estate offering a relaxing choice for a family day out. The stunning grounds are abundant with wildlife as well as beautiful flora and fauna and there is no better place for a summer picnic. There is also plenty of open space for children to run around. The Deer park is sure to be a big hit with the children with herds of fallow deer to spot.
about 30 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
