Where's West Sands ?
Mrs Reeves
Our family of 4 stayed at west sands this summer and we were really close to the beach which was good. There was also plenty to do on site which I would describe than bigger than average compared to other parks we have stayed in. The only thing that spoilt our holiday a bit was a noisy family in the caravan next to us but I think that's the luck of the draw and not something you can control! Other than that we would go back.
Jane, Eastleigh
Date of stay: 26th October 2018
Lovely pet friendly caravan in the centre of the park. Plenty of room for 3 plus a dog. Great central heating to keep us warm and parking nearby. Great park with plenty of activities for children and lots of places to walk. Lots of entertainment, food outlets and great swimming pool.

If it wasn't for the constant rain and drizzle this would have been an excellent long weekend. West Wittering beach is delightful, even in range. Facilities at West Sands were good, though due to rain the fairground and karts were closed, which meant we had to entertain our to kids (9 and 7) in the pool and arcade. There is only so much of that you can do.
Service is the restaurant was a little slow and bureaucratic. My wife and kids are veggie, so I had to negotiate a jacket potato, beans and cheese after 5pm, despite all items being on the menu, but the said spud and beans combo was only on the lunch menu.
Overall pretty good though. Would go again.
Matthew, Portsmouth

Date of stay: 18th August 2017
Lovely spacious caravan even had a little welcome pack with tea towel, sponge, little bottle of washing up liquid and a loo roll all waiting there, was a nice touch.
Very clean and tidy.
Only thing I would say is that although the caravan was wifi enabled it was an extra cost which was a bit cheeky considering the price you pay for the caravan!
Helen, Stafford
Date of stay: 7th August 2017
Caravan was spotless and more than adequate for what we needed family of 4. All modern fixtures and fittings very impressed
Donna, London
Date of stay: 4th August 2017
The caravan hallway- from door to the main living area was quite narrow and the toilet was very small, there was also only one toilet which at times was a bit annoying but not major.
The caravan it's self was well maintained and had enough kitchenware.

Date of stay: 4th November 2016
The caravan was suitable for disabled being spacious with sliding doors for easy access inside. The large shower room was perfect for size however the shower drained very slowly causing a considerable build up of water which we had to vigorously brush away to avoid flooding. This was quite difficult to do with my disability, luckily my husband is able bodied so could help.

Date of stay: 18th March 2016
Not our kind of site - far too big.

Swimming pool was too cool and lifeguards did not help me quickly when I had difficulty in the VERY FAST lazy river - never been in one so powerful before hence why I had difficulties. If my husband had not shouted 3 times before lifeguard took any notice I would have been under the water.
Linda

Date of stay: 29th May 2015
Great caravan, perfect for our needs only thing I would mention is it would be a good idea to have a designated disabled parking space outside the disabled caravan as others parked in the nearest space and we found it difficult to get my mum to walk far
Ariane, Gloucester

Told at reception we could look where our caravan was when booking in and we could get the keys when the cleaners were finished and they had so we did went back to reception but they said it had to be checked, it was gone 4pm when we were allowed our keys when we should have had them at 4. When we opened the caravan the toilet holder was not on the wall but in the sink, so how could it had been checked? Also there were no seats available in the main hall in evening as all taken by 7pm, staff at children's activities room not helpful in welcoming children although it was to busy
Douglas, Dudley
Date of stay: 29th August 2014

Michelle, Durham
Date of stay: 25th July 2014
Overall we had a brilliant holiday. Even the weather was ideal. I would definitely want to return to this holiday park. The only downside was the cleanliness of the bathrooms in the caravan which I had to clean myself. Oh, and the crazy golf could do with being updated as is a bit worn out.
Doreen, Wellingborough
Date of stay: 25th July 2014
Lovely caravan and site. The caravan could do with towel rails for hanging up wet towels in bathrooms.
Nicola
Date of stay: 25th July 2014

Date of stay: 27th June 2014
Had a great time at West Sands. Plenty to keep me and my 18 month old daughter entertained but not too big that it feels impersonal.
Pauline, Paignton
Date of stay: 2nd June 2014
The only complaint I have of this park is that the funfair was quite mis leading in that it stated "pay £10 and ride all day". this was ok for the 5 rides for older kids but for the younger ones everything had a charge, even down to 2 bouncy castles alongside each other which incurred 2 separate charges. Also in the evening there was entertainment for the adults, outside the clubhouse they had set up a bouncy slide and water walkers, again we had to pay for both of these and the kids were only allowed a very short time on these facilities. . I know that certain things incur a charge but I found these charges wildly excessive. The caravan we had was excellent, the site also and the location was beautiful, the staff were very helpful except in the pool area. One of our party got into difficulty in the adult pool and the life guards were less than helpful, I think this could be a concern if a child got into difficulty.Overall we did have a lovely holiday but would probably not return to this particular site.
James, Milton Keynes
Date of stay: 30th May 2014
Arrival was good and the site despite being very large was fairly easy to get around by car. The evening entertainment was enjoyable for all the family. The swimming facilities were excellent and was not too crowded.

The downsides were the seating in the evening club seemed to be more dedicated to the owners of the caravans leaving the family holiday makers fighting over insufficient seating. Also the staff on leaving didn't seem at all interested in whether we had a good holiday or not, or if we would like to come back. Handing in the key at reception the staff took the key then went back to talking to other staff on the phone. After a good holiday the last memories should not be of the reception staff who couldn't care less!

We were lucky because our accommodation was brand new so everything was clean and functional. But for a massive park it's very well run - extremely clean and well staffed, even at its busiest. The weak part is the swimming pool changing but still this was acceptable. But don't go to West Sands if you're wanting a quiet holiday!

Excellent caravan - spacious, well kitted-out and spotless, brand new bedding. Booked caravan close the the entertainment centre which was fantastic for the children. Staff were excellent and resolved insufficient bedding very quickly - can't rate them highly enough, particularly as we arrived on a very busy day. Children did not want to leave!

A brilliant Birthday weekend for my two young boys. They had a great time. Everything was exceptional and only have two negative comments; 1) Our caravan was supposedly 'WiFi enabled' but no service was actually given. 2) The price for the food at the restaurant was very expensive (even for similar locations). But having said that we would definitely consider going back next year. Thank you!
