New to Griffon Forest, The Foragers Lodge is a beautifully designed, luxury woodland retreat, thoughtfully styled to offer comfort, calm and indulgence in equal measure.The lodge features two generous double bedrooms, each with a super-king bed and a contemporary en-suite bathroom. Both ensuites are finished to a high standard, with spa baths, large walk-in showers and double vanities, creating a hotel-style experience within the privacy of the forest.At the heart of the lodge is an open-plan living space designed for both socialising and relaxation. A modern, fully equipped kitchen complete with a Nespresso machine flow into a welcoming dining area and a spacious lounge, featuring a large corner sofa, perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the woodland surroundings.Bi-folding doors open seamlessly from the living area onto a substantial outdoor deck, creating a wonderful extension of the living space. Here, guests can enjoy a sunken hot tub, outdoor dining furniture, a brick-built BBQ, and comfortable seating. This private terrace offers the perfect vantage point to take in uninterrupted forest views and the sounds of nature, with an all-weather pergola enclosing the hot tub area for year-round enjoyment.The lodge is completed with a practical entrance boot room and utility area, including a separate washing machine and dryer, ideal for longer stays and added convenience. Tucked away in the heart of mature woodland on Sandburn Hall estate, just 8 miles from York and offering a haven of peace and tranquillity to visitors and wildlife alike, Griffon Forest is the perfect hideaway. Each oak lodge is situated in its own setting enhanced by cosy interiors, spacious open plan living and home comforts of a well-equipped kitchen, modern bathroom and free Wi-Fi.
Unwind in the comfort of your lodge surrounded by mature woodland alive with birds, animals and plants, all right on your doorstep. Take in the night sky, star gazing from your outdoor hot tub to complete the relaxing experience. If you’re very lucky you may be visited by the resident badgers searching the forest for food, directly outside your lodge. Explore the walks, cycle paths, 18-hole golf course* and a coarse fishing lake*, all available on the Estate. Take a short walk to the friendly atmosphere of Tykes Restaurant, offering good food made from local produce or visit Sandburn Hall’s Sports Bar to watch the game and enjoy drinks or a bar meal.
