Breydon Water

Carervan very nice clean spacious.

Caravan is more suitable for family of 4 tight squeeze if bigger no proper table and chairs for eating benches and no outside furniture so take your own if you want to sit outside

Very spacious, new, well equipped accommodation. Very Comfortable.

The place was perfect for unwinding, super quiet and our dog loved the secure garden too.

We had a lovely stay at this charming little spot. The privacy was spot on, tucked away in a peaceful area, yet the owners were really friendly and always there if we needed anything. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day of cycling - honestly, it was just what we needed. One thing to keep in mind, though - the cottage sits right under Stansteds flight path, so there's quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but it didnt spoil our trip at all. Would definitely recommend!

Really enjoyed the tranquillity here, the Jacuzzi was definitely a highlight!

Really enjoyed our time at the Barton, lovely place, would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful weekend here! Definitely planning to return later in the year, loved it!

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely spot, tucked away in a quiet, private setting that felt really special. The hosts were so friendly and helpful, always nearby if we needed anything, but still maintaining our privacy. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day cycling, absolute bliss! One thing to keep in mind though, the cottage is right under the flight path, so theres quite a lot of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much after a while, but it might be a bit much if youre sensitive to noise. Still, wed definitely come back!

We had a lovely stay at this good place! The cottage sits peacefully on a working farm but feels totally private - perfect for relaxing. Robert and Sharon are genuinely lovely hosts, making us feel right at home. The place is super spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed thats perfect after a day exploring. The gardens completely dog-proof and great for unwinding. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxteds eateries like The Star and The Maypole are worth a visit. Wed definitely recommend it!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The rural setting was peaceful and scenic and the courtyard with its slate was lovely. The hot tub definitely made it feel extra special. Perfect for walks too.

We had an amazing time at Goddards Mead! The cottage was lovely and perfect for our needs. Can't wait to return!

Really enjoyed our stay, the cottage had everything needed.

We had such a lovely time exploring the fields with the dogs, really enjoyed it!

We recently stayed at Goddard's Mead and were really impressed. Rob and Sharon have done a lovely job converting the historic building with such care. They were incredibly welcoming when we arrived, making us feel right at home, along with Bonnies friendly presence. The location is perfect for exploring Essexs charming villages like Thaxted - its worth taking the time to wander around and soak in the history and beautiful architecture. Highly recommended for a relaxing break!

We just got back from a four-night stay at this cosy cottage and had a really nice time. The owners were super friendly but never intrusive, which was great. The fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we needed and the hot tub was definitely a highlight! Weve already recommended it to friends and hope to come back soon. Thanks for a lovely break!

We had such a lovely stay! The cottage was spotless and really well equipped, making it super comfortable. There are loads of dog walks right outside, which was perfect for our pups. The host was so friendly and quick to respond. Meeting the farm animals, especially Pig Penelope, was a real highlight. Well definitely return - great value and highly recommend!

We had such a lovely weekend here! The place was perfect for what we needed and were already planning to return. Our dogs had a blast, especially with the underfloor heating and the garden to run around in. Luna was wagging her tail so much she strained it-cant blame her! Definitely a hit with both us and the pups!

Really enjoyed our stay here. The place was super peaceful, perfect for unwinding after busy days. The garden was fully enclosed, so our dog was safe and happy. The accommodation was lovely-clean, comfy and well-equipped. Its a great spot if you want a quiet break. Well definitely come back soon!

Beautiful spot, really enjoyed it. Definitely planning to return soon!

We had a lovely time during our stay! Sharon and Robert really went out of their way to make us feel at home, which was much appreciated. The place was spotless, cosy and perfect for our dog Archie - he loved it! The location was spot on, with loads of great walks nearby and Thaxted and the surrounding villages are just charming. We definitely left feeling refreshed and relaxed, so thanks for a great break!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The cottage was super cosy and felt secluded enough to relax completely, but its still close to everything we needed. The hot tub was a highlight and the underfloor heating made it extra comfy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie were lovely hosts-cant wait to return!

We just had a wonderful week at Goddards Mead. The cottage really has everything you could think of, super well-stocked. The hosts are genuinely friendly and welcoming. Even on a busy farm, it feels like a peaceful retreat-absolutely loved it!

We loved the cosy cottage and the welcoming hosts - the jacuzzi was a real treat!

Really enjoyed our stay, would come again.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely place tucked away in a peaceful spot. The owners were super friendly and really helpful when we needed anything, yet kept just the right amount of distance to preserve the privacy. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day of cycling. Only thing to note is that the cottage is directly under Stansteds flight path, so aircraft noise is quite loud at times. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didnt ruin our holiday at all. Would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely stay at this cottage! The place was spotlessly clean and really well stocked with everything we needed. The dog walks right outside were great and the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, were such a delight. The host was super friendly and quick to respond. Definitely a place well visit again - great value! Highly recommend.

Great little holiday park for a weekend away - beach is nearby as well as the pleasure Beach. Great spot and lovely staff & accommodation.

Nice clean site staff friendly and helpful entertainment great

Beautiful caravan, comfy and everything you would want at hand.very clean.

Our car had to be recovered by Greenflag, the reception helped us so much they got our caravan ready before 12 mid day and were all very approachable 10/10

Lovely site in an ideal place.
Only thing that could improve it is a shop on the site there is one on the other site up the road so not a big deal.

Great location, very clean caravan and the entire park . Quiet and really relaxing caravan park to be in

Loved our holiday here very quiet and relaxed we didn’t come in contact with staff or at the clubhouse as we were busy doing other stuff but an amazing holiday we will be back next year

Great caravan, shame about the other people in a close caravan near us who would come back and then put the car radio on full then go inside with no thought to others. Park nicely laid out not to hard to find, great standard of home when we arrived. Shame we did not know that we could of walked from the camp straight to the castle as there is an entrance in the corner.
