Really enjoyed our visit overall, even though there’s no restaurant onsite which was a bit of a letdown. The free golf was a lovely bonus and we’d definitely return for another round someday!

We loved our stay at this charming cottage! The location is just perfect-so peaceful and scenic, with lovely views of the surrounding farml and and horses. The owners were genuinely friendly and attentive, making us feel really welcomed. Definitely a great spot if you’re after a quiet, relaxing escape. Highly recommend!

We had such a lovely stay here! The owners are genuinely friendly and went out of their way to help us. The cottage itself is adorable, with a charming half-timbered look and a really good shower. The cosy kitchen and comfy bed made it feel just like home. Parking right next to the cottage was super convenient and the place was spotless. Perfect base for walks to Thaxted and exploring nearby villages. Would definitely stay again!

We had a fantastic weekend stay, everything was just perfect for us. The place really hit the mark and we’re already planning to return. Our dogs had a blast-especially with the underfloor heating, they loved it! The garden was great fun too. Luna was wagging her tail so much, she strained it! All in all, happy pups and happy us!

We had a fantastic stay at this cosy little place tucked away in a lovely, secluded spot. The owners were genuinely friendly and always on hand if we needed anything, yet they respected our privacy completely. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day of cycling - such a relaxing touch! One thing to note, though, is that the cottage is directly under the flight path of Stansted, so aircraft noise is unavoidable. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didn’t ruin our trip at all. We’d definitely go back!

We had a lovely stay here! Perfect for unwinding and relaxing, especially in the winter. Just a heads up - if you're planning to use the hot tub in cold weather, definitely bring a dressing gown. The hot tub itself is fantastic, with colourful lights and the option to turn the bubbles on or off. The water temperature was just right, even when it was freezing outside, which was a big plus. We’d definitely come back!

Apart from the RAF fighter jets taking off once in a while some distance away this is a very quiet getaway. This is THE perfect place to unwind and relax. Tecos's is 6 mins by car so you do not have to travel far for your shopping. There is also a hot tub that is checked regularly by the staff so it is always clean. This is a great stress relief if you have been on a long drive, or again you want to simply unwind. With the choice of paying and playing a round of golf there is no better way to just simply chill. It is also a great place to base yourself to visit some of the great tourist attractions nearby. As a recommendation goes. we can not wait to return to this site again

Lovely tranquil setting ! Staff were friendly and helpful and very welcoming. Lodge was beautifully presented and very comfortable. It was well equipped and clean. Hot tub was in a very private position and was a great feature of the hire. The view from the lounge area of the lodge was across the golf course . We saw a little Muntjac coming trotting across the golf course and past put lodge a couple of times ! Rey. Dry nice ! Would definitely book again.

Our third visit. Excellent Lodge Spacious and spotlessly clean. Friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The new patio is very good with comfortable seating. Very good value food and drinks. I’m sure that we will return in the future.

Very nice lodge. Only two lodges currently. Situated on a golf course and was very quiet. Lodge was very clean and spacious. Would advise however to take your own hairdryer as could not locate one. Also, if you like fresh coffee, take your own cafetière. Hot tub was lovely and was located in a private, secluded area outside the front door. About 50 minutes from Cambridge park and ride and about 30 minutes from Kings Lynn. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wifi was excellent and TV has access to Netflix, iPlayer, Prime for streaming.
