We stayed at this place recently and honestly, it’s a gem. The house is super well equipped and kept us warm during that rainy December weather. The bath was divine and the shower was spacious enough for a proper rinse! The location is perfect for dogs that dislike fireworks since it’s in the middle of nowhere and we weren’t bothered by the planes overhead at all. Thanks a lot!

We took a much-needed dog walking break and it was just perfect! Lovely quality place, super close to pubs and eateries and endless fields to explore. Our dog loved it and refused to get in the car to leave!

We spent a week here in July with our two tiny dachshunds and it was such a lovely stay. The cottage itself is charming and the hot tub was a real treat, especially during the scorching days-we enjoyed cooling off in it. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. It was nice to see their dogs being taken out to the fields every day too. Being on the flight path near Stansted was actually pretty interesting; we loved watching the planes land. Totally recommend Hide!

We had such a lovely weekend here, it really ticked all the boxes for us. The house was cosy and clean and the garden was perfect for the dogs to run around. They especially loved the underfloor heating - Luna was wagging her tail so much she strained it! Definitely planning to come back soon. Great place for both pups and humans!

We recently stayed at Goddard's Mead and were genuinely impressed. Rob & Sharon have done a wonderful job converting this historic place with real care. From the warm welcome we received from them and Bonnie to the cosy, relaxing atmosphere, it felt like a home away from home. The location is perfect for exploring Essex’s charming villages, especially Thaxted, which is full of interesting history and lovely buildings. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!

What a lovely stay! The owners were so welcoming and really went out of their way to help us. The cottage itself is adorable, with traditional half-timbering that adds loads of character. We loved the big, powerful shower and the cosy kitchen-living area - perfect for relaxing after long walks. Parking was a breeze right next to the door and everything was spotless. The area around Thaxted is just gorgeous, with lovely walks through the fields and charming old houses. We’ll definitely be back!

Perfect location to the beeches shops and the site is amazing too, friendly staff and plenty to do on site. Caravan was spotless and location of the caravans they are not on top of each other giving you space to have a BBQ and privacy without disturbing your neighbours.

We booked this holiday at the last minute.everything we needed in the caravan and so much more.our caravan had a dish washer.2 toliet.and decking outside.the site had everything we needed from entertainment.to views.myself and my family loved it.there was 5 adults and 2 kids in our group.caravan fitted us all in.the site had everything we needed.i loved the pools.both inside and out.best holiday we ever had.thank you.

Nice site. Comfortable, modern caravan. Only slight downside was nowhere to stroll to locally, and local roads do not have pavements.
