Anchor Park has a very peaceful location on a stretch of sandy beach on the Norfolk coast.  The park is small and welcoming making it popular with families. The direct beach access through the sand dunes makes it a perfect choice for those looking for a traditional seaside holiday and the close proximity to the sea means that the park has stunning views.

Date of stay: 17th July 2017
The caravan was fine but with absolutely nothing on the camp site it really wasn't for us. Had to travel at least 3miles to get something to eat and if you returned late at night it was pitch black as no outside lights on park?

Another wonderful stay at Anchor Park. This time we left the family at home and took the dogs. Long walks on endless sandy beaches. A fabulous place to escape from the world for a few days and recharge.
Looking forward to going again next year.

The sunny weather made our enjoyment of the beach all the more pleasant, we were able to watch the seals in the sea at close quarters. Peace, quiet and lovely countryside all added to our experience.

Date of stay: 14th August 2015
The caravan was spacious, although the twin bunks were "thin" as my Grandson described them and he (being a restless sleeper) kept falling out! It was dated but spotlessly clean and adequate.
Michelle, London

The caravan was rather tired. The shower was inadequate. The oven didn't really work. When I stripped the beds on the final day some of the pillows were stained - Not a nice touch!

A beautiful site with lovely views across the countryside, just a 2 minute walk up and over the sand dunes to the exclusive beach. Only 6 caravans so very peaceful. Very helpful and friendly staff. Apart from one day, the weather couldn't have been better, we will definitely go back.

This is our 5th visit. it is so tranquil but not too long drive form amenities in Stalham or Sea Palling. you can walk to Sea Palling along the beach to buy a morning paper. there are always seals in the sea that come quite close. Beautiful sandy beaches , unspoilt. Absolutely love the place.
Pamela, Leicester
Date of stay: 30th August 2014
The Park owner was very helpful on our arrival and provided us with a lot of local information. The caravan accommodation was spotlessly clean. The location was secluded with access to a quiet, sandy beach which was ideal for us.
Glenys, Nottingham
Date of stay: 2nd August 2014

Nina, Nottinghamshire
Date of stay: 18th July 2014
Fantastic location a short walk over the sand dunes and you stand on sandy beach, ok a few stretches of pebbles to the sea but so worth it. The site is quiet as there are only 6 caravans. Local amenities are a few miles away. If you are missing the hustle and bustle of a seaside town Cromer is about 25 mins away. For me it is the perfect seaside holiday.
Donna, Bungay
Date of stay: 9th June 2014
This is the second year running that we have been to Anchor Park. A beautiful, peaceful setting with top accommodation. It is almost like having you own private beach just over the dunes.

Date of stay: 21st February 2014
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We came in the middle of Feb so was fairly cold but stuck the heating on and we were warm and cosy in no time. We came during half term and the area is so peaceful and very beautiful. Will definitely come back here in the future. Great place, great value and people are very friendly :)
Lillian
the caravan we had was well stocked. unfortunately we picked the coldest weekend of the year, but with extra heating we were ok. doors a bit draughty. The location, for anyone wanting to get away from it all, was first class, the beach next door was superb for a summer holiday. Overall a nice little caravan park.
Linda
An excellent get away from it all location - brilliant!
John
A static caravan holiday but not in massice caravan park. Beach just over the dunes. Recommended

Fun Days Out near Anchor Park

about 8 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
about 18 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
about 20 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.

Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.

This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
about 26 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.

if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.

We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.

This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
