Visitor Reviews of Anchor Park

Date of stay: 8th October 2024
The caravan had flies in it when we arrived. The beds were ok but small, sofa wasn’t comfortable at all and cushions were ripped, carpet needed updating. Facilities were good.

A very clean well run site. The caravan was spotless and very well equipped. I’ve already recommend Anchor Park to a friend. It’s the perfect getaway for people to unwind.

Just the most relaxing way to spend a few days. The caravan perfectly accommodated us all (and the dog).

Excellent location for a relaxing break, lovely quiet and peaceful site, perfect holiday for just getting away and relaxing. Very friendly and helpful owner on site. Location is superb for exploring beautiful coastlines, amazing spot for sunsets and sunrise. The interior of the caravan is showing signs of age but it was clean and comfortable and great for our dog. We would definitely recommend and will return next year we’ve had a fantastic 4 night break.

A perfect place to escape to and completely relax and unwind - we have been coming for many years and will return

Quiet location with only 7 caravans and 2 of those were empty, nothing in the way of entertainment but then again I wasn't expecting any. Caravan basic but generally clean apart from some mold in the shower cubicle

What is Delta? - nowhere on site or the actual caravan is there anything that says DELTA. Everything about the caravan is very basic. Sand in the upholstery and a plaster in the double bed!

Furniture and fittings are dated and tired looking the caravan was not cleaned to a good standard although we were pet friendly we didn’t expect stained settees dog hair and dirty floors the radiators were rusty

Good coastal location. Only 7 caravans on site, ours was the only one occupied during our stay in May. Beach just over the sand dune. Other than local dog walkers the extensive beach was virtually deserted. We were very satisfied with the peaceful break and enjoyed seeing all the wildlife.

Caravan was very tired, wouldn't of been too bad if everything that should work did but it didn't. We had a dog so we weren't expecting it to be pristine but have stayed in far nicer, cleaner and warmer dog friendly caravans for a lot less money. The insects (green lacewings) were relentless as despite placing as many outside as possible more kept appearing and we couldn't locate where they were coming from. There were heaters in the bedrooms but they didn't work when switched on so we slept on the sofa in the lounge and had gas fire on as it was so cold every night, thicker duvets/blankets would of helped. Only one light out of 4 worked in the kitchen and the boiler paperwork says it was last serviced in 2019 which also worried me. I think we made the best we could of it.

Excellent, it's the perfect escape. It's a little piece of heaven.

Date of stay: 27th September 2019
Access to the site is off the beaten track if you follow your satnav. There is a slightly better route but still narrow in places. Site and accommodation is quiet and peaceful. Steep climb over the dunes to the beach but lovely beaches to walk for miles. A very relaxing holiday and already looking forward to going back next year

An enjoyable short break with good weather. Access along the sandy track could be improved as that was a bit tricky to negotiate in our car.
Very quiet and peaceful; dunes and beach a couple of minutes on foot.
Outdoor picnic bench and table.
The caravan was comfortable and provided what we required for a self catering break
with a good range of equipment for us as a couple.
Theresa
Caravan ok , had everything that was needed . We had a problem with the water temperature in the shower , I contacted the park owner he responded within minutes and all was fixed within 1/2 hour . Verty pleasant , helpful team . .
Charles
Very quite and safe location.
Jackie
Anchor Park is a very quiet site with very few caravans and we liked it. It has immediate access to the beach which is extensive with miles of walking and lots of wildlife. We had a few miles to go for a shop when we needed it but that was a small price to pay for the relaxed atmosphere and the quietness of the site. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
Sarah
The world is full of people with strange ideas of what is important. If you feel that scatter cushions or super fast Wi-Fi are essential ingredients of a holiday then Anchor Park may not be for you. If, however, you value peace and quiet, fabulous uncrowded beaches, spectacular sand dunes and local wildlife then this most definitely is for you! Yes, the caravans may not be brand new but they are spotlessly clean, comfortable and fully functional in every aspect. A week away from emails and Amazon? When can I come back (with my cushions and lamps, of course)?
Laura
Lovely out of the way spot, but not completely isolated!
Caroline
Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Would highly recommend
Debbie

Julia
Really enjoyed our stay in the caravan was nice and clean and warm just a minutes walk to the beach. A lovely place to take your dogs for long walks the owners were very helpful when needed.
Linda
An excellent spot for a complete getaway from everyday life
John
This is the sixth time that we have been to Anchor Park. It is a lovely quiet site. The North Sea is just over the sand dunes. The caravans are always clean on arrival
ALAN
