Ideally located for exploring the Norfolk Broads, this wonderful holiday park is tucked away safely and peacefully in the beautiful and picturesque village of Potter Heigham, with its marina, boatyard and shops.

this well-maintained park sits amidst 6 acres of beautiful mature countryside close to the glorious Norfolk coast.

A mixture of refurbished caravans and luxury holiday homes all of which are to a very good standard, you will be able to either completely relax inside of your accommodation and admire the views from here, visit the local pub just 200 yards from the main entrance of the park, go for lovely local walks/use one of the many cycle routes, or you can use this as a base to explore the local area.

Whichever you decide, we are sure you will get exactly what you are looking for at this peaceful, secure, stunning location.

You can also bring your dog on holiday in several of the accommodations Norfolk Broads have to offer, so you don’t have to leave your four-legged friend at home.

Riverside pubs and cafés are plentiful, and a number of Broadland centres offer bike hire or canoe hire (possibly the most delightful way to discover the lovely reed lined waterways and their abundant wildlife) and visitors can also hire boats in Potter Heigham, or take a pleasure cruise from bustling Wroxham – the capital of the Broads and home to the ‘world’s largest village store’, as well as the train station for the Bure Valley narrow gauge steam railway.

Close by, BeWILDerwood, a magical tree top park, promises children a day to remember, and lovely dune backed sandy beaches are a short drive – Sea Palling lies just 6 miles away, Horsey Windpump (National Trust) just 7 miles away, and Winterton-on-Sea just 8 miles away where you can often see the seals!

For lively family fun, Pettitts Adventure Animal Adventure Park is a short drive away in the heart of the stunning Norfolk Broads.

Pettitts has a mixture of fun rides such as the Crazy Caterpillar rollercoaster, Little Explorers balloon ride, Safari Adventure, and the Bouncing Kangaroos.

They also have 30+ different species of exotic and domestic birds, animals, and reptiles to meet, feed and pet!

Great Yarmouth is a few miles away too with its famous pleasure beach, or Pleasurewood Hills theme park, whilst Cromer also offers traditional seaside entertainments, including a renowned end of pier show.

Bygone museums, craft centres and Blickling Hall (National Trust) are all within an easy drive, as is the medieval city of Norwich with its magnificent cathedral, castle, galleries, museums, cinemas, theatres, and excellent shopping.

A little further afield on the North Norfolk Coast, seal watching boat trips can be found at picturesque fishing villages, many of which also boast pubs and restaurants serving superb, locally caught seafood.

Coarse fishing is available on local waters just 400 yards away, and the pretty village of Ludham boasts two pubs and a good range of shops.

Visitor Reviews of Norfolk Broads Country Park

Ellie Carter
Date of stay: 7th March 2025
We really enjoyed our time there; it was super peaceful and quiet, which was just what we needed. The lodge itself was tidy and the beds were comfy, so no complaints on that front. That said, it did feel like the place could do with a bit of sprucing up - some areas looked a bit worn out. For example, the curtain holder in the bedroom was completely broken and just left in the drawer, plus there was some damage to the side of the bedroom unit. The fridge door didn’t quite shut properly either and we found a bottle of cooking oil left in the cupboard, which was a bit odd. The worktop had some damage too. Staff could’ve been a bit more on the ball when we mentioned the Wi-Fi wasn’t working; they gave us a code for another lodge and said it’d be fine, but the Wi-Fi was weak all week. It was only when we checked out that we saw the modem in the lodge was turned off - a simple fix that staff could’ve easily looked into. Still, overall, we’d recommend it for a nice break!

We stayed at this lovely lodge, perfect for our family of four. The two toilets made mornings so much easier! The lounge was spacious and cosy, especially in the chilly February weather. Beds were comfy with plenty of room. Just a heads-up, adding more dishes and egg cups would be great. Overall, a wonderful stay!

We had a lovely stay at the lodge. It’s a bit snug, but honestly, perfect for just the two of us. The second bedroom’s quite tiny, so probably not ideal for four adults, but still a great spot overall.

The caravan was spotless and well-equipped, which we really appreciated. When we first booked, we thought the balcony had the bigger steps, but it turned out to be just a balcony. The metal steps at the entrance were quite wobbly, so our elderly dog struggled. Luckily, we were moved to another caravan with proper steps. Thanks, Tracey!

Honestly, we really couldn't find anything to complain about. The caravan was spotless and felt brand new, which was lovely. Plenty of space for our family of three, plus a well-stocked kitchen and WiFi. The location was perfect and there was even room for visitors’ cars. We had a fantastic time and definitely hope to return!

We recently spent a lovely week at Norfolk Broads and honestly, it was great. The caravan site was peaceful and looked really tidy. We deliberately chose somewhere without many amenities so we could get out and explore the nearby spots. Lathams store is just a short walk or drive away and has pretty much everything - from sugar and prosecco to bleach and T-shirts, it’s a one-stop shop. There’s also a post office attached to a local shop nearby. The caravan itself was spotless and well-maintained, with bedding included - just remember to bring your own towels, tea towels, sponges and washing-up liquid, as these weren’t provided but are easy to pick up from Lathams. We got a nice touch when we arrived - a welcome pack of Dolce Gusto pods for the coffee maker! It was a comfy little base after busy days out. Beds were alright, nothing fancy but fine for us. Only thing to note is the caravan steps were a bit wobbly and our daughter did fall off twice - luckily nothing serious. Overall, we’d definitely go back - the weather was fantastic too!

We recently stayed in this lovely caravan and honestly, it was a great find. The place is super well equipped and having a dishwasher was a real bonus. The layout was clever and the big windows made everything feel so bright and airy. Those patio doors at the front were perfect for sunny days too!

The place was really well situated and the park itself was lovely. The accommodation was quite comfortable, too. Only gripe was arriving to no toilet roll - would’ve appreciated a heads-up, as I’ve never stayed anywhere without at least one. Still, overall good stay!

We had a lovely stay at Norfolk Broad Country Park. The caravan was really nice - modern, spotless and the big fridge freezer plus washing machine were so useful. The location’s spot on. We’ll definitely be back!

Date of stay: 21st September 2019
We had a lovely week away; it was just what we needed to unwind. The lodge, built in 2019, was comfortable but still needs a few small touches-like a bin in the bathrooms and a toilet roll holder. Hooks on the bathroom and bedroom doors would’ve made hanging towels and gowns a lot easier. Still, a good stay!

Really had a lovely time. Just wish there was a waste bin in the kitchen area.
