We absolutely loved our stay here! The location is stunning and incredibly private, perfect for relaxing away from the hustle. The owners are genuinely friendly and always ready to help without intruding. The hot tub was a real highlight after a day out cycling-it really made our trip special. One thing to note is that the cottage is quite close to Stansted's flight path, so there’s quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didn’t bother us much once we got used to it, but it might be a concern if you're sensitive to noise. Overall, a fantastic place!

We had a lovely stay at this cottage tucked away on a working farm, yet it feels really private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are such charming people, making us feel welcome. The place itself is surprisingly spacious, with well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The bed was super comfy and the garden’s perfect for dogs-fully enclosed with nice furniture. Plenty of walks nearby and we enjoyed dining out in Thaxted; The Star and The Maypole are definitely worth a visit. We’d happily come back!

We’ve just come back from a week at Waterside and we were sad to leave. Would definitely recommend staying here. The site was very clean, the facilities were great, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location was good. We loved the pools and the evening entertainment.
