Date of stay: 17th August 2018
Omg what can I say we absolutely loved the place the caravan was lovely, the facilities well everything that you needed to make sure yourself and kids had fun, entertainment in the night was fantastic prices on the restaurant food was good. Also had a shop on site that had everything you needed. The staff were friendly and were happy to help if any problems. The site was very clean and maintained well, also beautiful surroundings close to the beach, overall what a fantastic place for everyone will be returning next year to make more amazing memories

Enjoyed every minute.
Patricia, Broadstairs
Date of stay: 15th June 2018
The caravan was perfect for two single people, but the second bedroom we used as a dressing room as it would have been too small for an adult. We used the pull out bed in the lounge as a second bedroom!
Jane, Tamworth
Date of stay: 25th May 2018
Out door pool not being open was the biggest disappointment the weather had been very warm for a long period, more revenue could have been earned from poolside drinks snacks etc and people staying on site
David, Stockton On Tees
Date of stay: 25th May 2018
The site is extremely clean with excellent facilities, visitors need to be aware that it is on a hillside so there are some steep banks. It is in a great position for touring the area; Exeter, Sidmouth within easy reach and well worth visiting. If you are feeling energetic you can walk to West Bay ( Broadchurch ) and Lyme Regis well worth it.

My only gripe is that the outdoor pool was not open although full when we stayed mid May and the temperatures where on some days in the upper 20's.
Mitchell, Harlow
Date of stay: 14th April 2018

We have been camping and caravanning at Newlands on and off for twenty year - whilst it has always been fun, staying in a warm and comfy lodge these days is far preferable.
Kathryn
Date of stay: 21st August 2017
The caravan was clean and tidy and had plenty of room, the only thing that was lacking was coat hooks.
Carrie, Leicester
Date of stay: 19th August 2017
Caravan could have been cleaner, we cleaned the skirting boards ourselves as don't think they had ever been touched. Need more cooking equipment, baking trays etc and why only one shelf in oven, should have been two.
Susan, Sutton Coldfield
Date of stay: 19th August 2017
Lovely holiday, everything we needed.
Nicola, Swindon
Date of stay: 19th August 2017
Lovely location. Very relaxing. Family friendly
Tim, London
Date of stay: 18th August 2017
Pleasantly surprised- very modern, comfortable, spacious, & well laid out. Bathroom could do with updating
Steve, East Grinstead
Date of stay: 18th August 2017
Lovely clean chalet. Bed and sofa very comfortable. Kitchen with hob and microwave fine as we planned our menus about that. Nice bathroom and shower, not the strongest in the world but still okay. One thing was chalet has a skylight which had no blind to it so even if curtains were shut, as soon as the sun was up, it was light in the sleeping area. Maybe have a blind at the bottom of the shafts it is at the top of, to deal with this issue? Overall rating (and comfort) would be a 10 if this was fixed.
Pamela
Date of stay: 12th August 2017
Very good overall and would recommend, but for reasons already given, will not be returning.

Date of stay: 28th July 2017
Had a lovely time, just wish the caravan was cleaner. We scrubbed down the walls ourselves, had the radiator pop on us, and the microwave. Utensils not too good, so we bought and supplied some of our own.
Melvine, Ormskirk, Lancashire
Date of stay: 8th July 2017
Had a great time.
Howard, Norwich
Date of stay: 1st July 2017
Pearl apartments much better after renovation. We had a bit of crockery cleaning on arrival and the floor seemed to create dust, needed polishing/sealing.
Would use again.
Zdenek, Woking
Date of stay: 30th June 2017
The apartment and facilities very comfortable and quiet, although ours was a short holiday out of season. At the same time there is plenty of space for kids.

M y only comment concerns the TV provided where the picture (dark) and sound (somewhat distorted) should be adjusted. We do not watch TV on holiday, but no doubt kids will, later in the season.
Carol, Doncaster
Date of stay: 30th June 2017
This was a lovely holiday park, fantastic views great places to visit, the staff couldn't do enough for you. We would definitely book this site sgain

The caravans are set on different levels so the view is not impaired by other vans, the caravan was tidy and well equipped. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for clothes.
Christine, Blackpool
Date of stay: 16th July 2016
Our ca r scan was quite old and the furnishings were tired. The curtains in the living area did not meet properly. As we had dogs with us I guess we weren't allocated the best.
Margaret, Bromsgrove
Date of stay: 15th July 2016
Very clean.First time granddaughter had stayed in a caravan and she loved everything about it.
Alan, Luton

Norman, Worcestershire
Date of stay: 13th June 2016
The apartment had all the basic amenities (including a toaster) and the room was clean and fresh.
Only slight drawback was a musty smell in the entrance area of the apartment block.
Lis, Kingston
Date of stay: 13th June 2016
only thing I didn't like was leather/vinyl sofas. Bed comfortable and bedding very clean.
Sandra, Hinckley, Leicestershire
Date of stay: 19th October 2015
Real home from home!
Mohammed, Leicester
Date of stay: 19th October 2015
We had two lodges opposite each other. The lodges were very clean and tidy. The kitchen and it's stuff are really fantastic. Everything is there. The lodges have central heating which are really important in cold weather. The only problems are there were lots of a bit large spiders :) . Also, you need to bring everything you need for cooking as the nearest supermarket (Tesco express) is 10 mins driving.
Shirley, Maidstone
Date of stay: 3rd October 2015
Clean and very spacious lodge if a little plain in decor.
The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was good with a very effective shower.
Efficient heating for chilly nights and mornings.
Nice outside patio area.
All in all an enjoyable week in the lodge.
Alan, Camberley Surrey

Date of stay: 4th September 2015
After a small issue with our initial caravan we were moved to caravan no 26, very happy and has everything you need.
Ross, Chippenham
Date of stay: 3rd August 2015
The room we had was really good. Actually a lot better than I was expecting. We noticed how clean it was which is really important......well done to the cleaning staff. The facilities in the kitchen were excellent, there was everthing you could need. The only negative was the bed space does not have a wardrobe near to it as it is on the farside of the apartment near the front door. This made getting ready every day a faff as we had to keep walking across the kichen dining area to get to our belongings.
Luke, Northampton
Date of stay: 31st July 2015
Fabulous holiday/camp site, will be coming back again next year.
Hilary, Bristol
Date of stay: 24th July 2015
We found the twin bedded room a little cramped, but plenty of room in the living area. Generous parking outside the caravan and our own outside dining table and benches were appreciated. Well equiped kitchen facilities.
Ivor, Bath
Date of stay: 24th July 2015
just like being at home
Shirley, Burnley
Date of stay: 18th July 2015

5 star couldnt find fault
Carol, Hemel Hempstead
Date of stay: 8th June 2015
It was what you expect for a holiday home. It had everything you needed. It was quiet and peaceful. Our only gripe was that the wifi was reaaaaaaaaaaaaallly slow and we ended up using hubbies phone, even though we had paid £20 for the weeks use.
Sharon, Halstead
Date of stay: 29th May 2015
after seeing the reviews on the apartments was a bit worried as to what we would be getting but was very pleased when we arrived. Unless you had a key you were unable to get into the apartment block which was very good security wise. Windows had no child locks but could be to do with fire regulations and could do with having cookers rather than a hob and microwave. Would stay in them again rather than having a caravan much more space and home comforts.
Angela, Manchester
Date of stay: 22nd May 2015
Overall the lodge was comfortable, tidy and the Bedding clean. Some areas needed a little attention cobwebs around the windows and light fittings but overall very good.
Acarole, Stevenage

Date of stay: 30th August 2014
Hope that was that vans last season
Andrea, Surrey
Date of stay: 30th August 2014
Newlands was in a beautiful location with lovely views but it was quite far from the major seaside towns of Weymouth and Bournemouth so there was a lot of driving.
The accommodation was very good and the standard of cleaning was high.
It was the facilities on the park that let it down however. The shop was poorly stocked with far too many cheap toys. The takeaway never seemed to be open and the bar and dance area was far too small and crowded. We also felt that the restaurant closed too early particularly for families who had been out all day and did not get back to the camp until the evening.
We also felt it would be useful to have a hire shop
Claire, Leicestershire
Date of stay: 25th August 2014
The lodge could have been cleaned and checked a little better, there were spiders webs everywhere and bulbs missing in a few places. The drawers in the bedroom with bunk beds kept falling apart. Over all I was happy with the lodge.
Kirsty, Rugby
Date of stay: 23rd August 2014
A better layout of the caravan would have created better storage facilities. Narrow corridor to get from front door to kitchen/lounge area. No roasting tins for oven if you wished to cook oven chips.
Andrea, Hockley
Date of stay: 23rd August 2014
a basic yet homely apartment which was clean and tidy. a great base for a family holiday.
Carol, Oxford
Date of stay: 18th August 2014
I had to go and buy bleach and spray for the toilet it smelled really bad. The overall cleanliness was also bad.
Ray
Date of stay: 15th August 2014
Lovely lodge , although not shown is the fact that they are all together.
Was clean and comfortable , the only thing I can complain about is that they need to clean under sofas .
But overall was very happy with cleanliness and would book again
Bob, Portsmouth
Date of stay: 11th August 2014
The lodges are very good and spaciest. All very near to facilities.
Trevor, High Wycombe
Date of stay: 9th August 2014
We found the accommodation very pleasant and thoughtfully done out with plenty of storage space. The beds were comfortable and the shower was lovely. We had plenty of space inside to sit and eat and liked having a picnic table outside plus parking next to the caravan. The only thing we would suggest is that due to it overlooking the road, the double bedroom could do with net curtains, but we kept the curtains closed.

We (and the kids) loved the facilities. The food in the restaurant was very good and we all thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment (our thanks to Dino Dan and DJ Damian for keeping the kids happy). The shop was well stocked too so we needn't have gone shopping at all.

For a first experience of static caravanning we would book again and would recommend it to others too.
Janet, Westmidlands

The park was well organised and well kept, staff friendly and helpful.
We used both indoor and outdoor swimming pools and had a few meals in the on site restaurant. The location was easy to get to Charmouth Beach by car, you could walk but the road is a little narrow. Would go again .

Had a very nice week.very helpful staff.great location close to the beach.
Carol
Newlands is a fabulous park set in stunning countryside. The caravan was lovely and clean. The restaurant food was fabulous albeit a little on the expensive side. The staff were polite and friendly. We had a fantastic time. Sadly no entertainment bar bingo and a quiz but we did go out of season.
Melissa
We really enjoyed our week staying in one of the lodges. Accommodation was very good and staff were really helpful!
Anthony
Excellent park, great lodge, friendly staff
Terence
I have never been on a Caravan holiday or break before and had reservations about going but my wife wanted to fulfil a dream of having a Caravan holiday as she used to do as a child. When we walked into the Caravan it was spotlessly clean and I was so very surprised how comfortable it was. Anything we were not sure about a man was there to sort things out for us. It could not have been better. The staff were very efficient and courteous and the Clubhouse was very nice with good food. Well done Newlands
Chris
This was our first time at Newlands and we were impressed and hope to go back again. We booked a three bedroom lodge for the two of us - loads of room and well fitted and kitted out. A great standard is kept up at Newlands, both inside and out. Terrific swimming pool and we were both very impressed with the bar area. The countryside around Newlands is very picturesque and needs much more exploring. We enjoyed visiting the local small towns and whoever was in charge of the weather.... It's definitely somewhere we'd like to return too!

Fun Days Out near Newlands Park

about 19 Miles
This year round attraction has been described as Devon's most magnificent historic gardens.  Located in the Otter Valley area of East Devon you can enjoy a fun day out in a picturesque setting. Highlights include historic Palm house, containing some of the world’s most endangered species and Bicton Woodland Railway - which takes you on a 25 minute journey through the lovely grounds.  For children there is a miniature village with mini golf, nature trail and indoor play area.
about 20 Miles
This family orientated museum is dedicated to Teddy Bears both old and new Edward Bear and his family of people sized bears are one of the main attractions.  You can buy teddy bear gifts from the quaint shop including top notch brands.  The Steiff Teddy Bear and Merrythought bears are very popular.  Open 7 days a week all year round (except 25th and 26th December) this is a perfect all weather place to visit.
about 21 Miles
Kingston Maurward Gardens and Animal Park is a magical place to visit with grand gardens and plenty of animals to meet.  From goats and ponies to alpacas and pot bellied pigs this attraction is excellent value for money.  You can feel free to explore the grounds too which are especially lovely on sunny days.  You will see majestic floral displays, stone terraces, a temple and even a lake.
about 23 Miles
This popular adventure park is full of thrills and excitement as well as having loads for younger children to take part in as well. The best theme park rides include the Tidal Wave log flume and Maximus the rollercoaster.  Other fantastic rides include the the New Vortex Watercoaster ride and the Queen Bess pirate ship.  Indoor fun is plentiful too with the Adventure Zone, the Magical Kingdom and Dina's Lost World.
about 29 Miles
Monkey World is not only a local attraction but the work they carry out is amazing.  Rescuing and rehabilitating monkeys and assisting governments around the world to stop the smuggling of primates are just some of the purposes of the centre. You get to see the primates themselves many of which have become famous from appearing on the TV show Monkey World - a documentary about this place. Open year round we think this is one of best attractions in Dorset and you even get the chance to adopt a monkey if you choose.
