Visitor Reviews of Newlands Park
Really disappointed with the quality of the caravan really dated not clean at all including the cutlery pots and pans. Filthy sofas and dining area, Outside area is unsafe lots of holes unkept areas and a rotting bench
Would of liked a form of sweeper and a shark knife
A very nice caravan in a beautiful place a nice quiet holiday park to relax in and enjoy the sunshine and views
This was our second stay at Newlands and the first time in a Dorset Diamond caravan as last time we stayed in an Ammonite lodge. We enjoyed our stay and thought the accommodation was super clean and a good size for two with good kitchen facilities/utensils etc. We werent aware towels werent provided as weve never stayed in a caravan before but lesson learned and easily remedied from the Morrisons in Bridport. Its disappointing the shop on site closes in my opinion too early at 5pm but thats our only negative on the place. Perfect location close to the beach and a nice site to stay, highly recommend.
The only problem was the lack of a toaster, but we only had to ask for one.
Lovely friendly camp.Plenty to do and near lovely beaches
Great spot for exploring Dorset and even crossing into Devon easily. Love it!
Really enjoyed our stay, the location was perfect for us.
The owners were really lovely and went above and beyond when the storm knocked out the power. The place was spotless, warm and well-equipped. Our dog loved the secure garden and we enjoyed the hot tub too!
Lovely place, would visit again
Tiny bathroom.Steps up from outside quite steep.Hanging rail in small bedroom far too high to use.Not enough equipment. No bottle opener or tin opener. Not many kitchen cupboards if you are shopping for a family.
We had a lovely stay and the caravan was spot on! The kids loved it, especially since it was their first time in a caravan. Only thing missing was some small welcome essentials like washing up liquid; the shop only had full-sized bottles, which was a bit annoying.
Great experience, will return soon
Overall, were quite happy with the service. The beds were made nicely and it was a nice touch. There were a few areas that couldve been better-like some dusty shelves in the bedrooms and a bit of chocolate on the floor. The windows looked a little streaky too. Still, decent job!
Really enjoyed our stay! The place was spotless, well-equipped and the hot tub was a real highlight.
We absolutely loved our stay at Goddard Mead! The cottage had everything we needed and the walks right outside the door were perfect. The hosts were genuinely lovely and made us feel so welcome. Definitely coming back!
The cottage is really charming and perfect for a peaceful getaway. Just a heads up, planes can be a bit noisy at night since its close to Stanstead. Hot tubs a real treat!
We spent a lovely week here from 15 to 22 July with our two little dachshunds, who loved every minute and made a few friends in the charming village of Thaxted. The cottage itself is really cosy and the hot tub was an absolute highlight-perfect for cooling off during the hot summer days. The hosts are genuinely welcoming, which made us feel right at home. It was also nice to see their dogs being taken to the fields daily. Sure, you're close to Stansteds flight path, but honestly, I enjoyed watching the planes come in. Would definitely recommend!
Lovely stay, welcoming hosts and the jacuzzi was the highlight for us. Really enjoyed it!
Looking forward to our next visit!
We loved the cosy cottage - perfect for a peaceful getaway. The hot tub was a real highlight! Just a heads-up, planes can be a bit noisy at night.
We just got back from a fantastic week at Goddards Mead. The cottage had everything we needed and was super comfy. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming. Even on a working farm, it felt like a peaceful little escape. Loved it!
We spent a fantastic few days at Newlands with the family - two adults and two teenagers. The lodges were really spacious and super comfy, making it easy to relax. The evening entertainment, especially bingo night, was a blast! We also enjoyed dining at the on-site restaurant twice; the food was spot on. The location is perfect, close to many lovely spots, including Charmouth just a walk away. Were already planning to come back, probably in summer next time to enjoy the outdoor balconies more!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The rural setting was so peaceful and the courtyard was lovely. The hot tub definitely added a touch of luxury. Perfect for relaxing walks!
We had a lovely stay at this cottage, which is tucked away on a working farm but still feels very private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely charming and welcoming. The place itself is really spacious, with everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom. The bed was super comfy and the garden, dog-proof and private, was perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed plenty of local walks and tried some great restaurants in Thaxted, especially The Star and The Maypole. Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed our four nights here. The apartment was spotless, comfy and had plenty of space for a quick stay. The site was well-kept and parking was easy.
Enjoyed our 4 night stay. Apartment was clean and comfortable and plenty big enough for a short stay. The site is very well maintained and has good parking.
Overall, we really enjoyed the caravan stay. Its a shame about the limited stock with everything going on, but the place was cosy. The curtains were a bit fiddly and we had to bring our own towel for the shower, but it didnt ruin the trip. Would stay again!
Really enjoyed our stay, the campsite was lovely and well-maintained throughout.
We recently stayed at Goddard's Mead and it was a lovely experience. Rob and Sharon made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived and Bonnie was adorable too! The building has been beautifully restored, maintaining its historic charm while providing all the comforts youd need for a relaxing break. The location is perfect for exploring Essex, especially if you enjoy wandering through pretty villages and discovering local history. Definitely recommend!
Newlands Holiday Park is excellent. We spent a week in a static van. It was just what we needed in size and was spotlessly clean. I would definitely have no hesitation in staying there again, and would highly recommend it.
An amazing week at Newlands Charmouth. Caravan clean & tidy on arrival. A great site & location with lots to offer young families.
We stayed along with elderly parents in the caravan next door. Staff all very helpful & friendly. We would definitely return in our camper van as price a little steep for a week in static caravan!
This was our 6th year here and again yhe best stay we have ever had staff amazing site amazing and location amazing
We really enjoyed our holiday, we had used these apartments before and they didn’t disappoint. Only one thing could have made it better is some outdoor seating, but appreciate this could be a problem because of the parking area. Very clean and all facilities on site.
Such a lovely site, clean friendly, amazing pool and amenities and close to the beach.
Staff really friendly and hard working. Nothing too much trouble
Fantastic value for money, lovely location. Very helpful and friendly reception staff. Lovely indoor and outdoor pool, very clean. The complex has everything you need. It's kept very clean and the grounds are always litter free. Caravan was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need.
Lovely area to visit and Newlands Park is ideally placed. I used the bus to go to Lyme Regis from right outside the gates. Fabulous staff and a very tidy site.
Lovely site?
Stayed in a 3 bedroom lodge was wonderful. All great facilities beds made and towels provided. Very clean and tidy.
Thank you
