Date of stay: 15th September 2018
This was our first caravan holiday for about 25 years, we would usually rent a cottage.
We were very pleased with the fit and finish of the accommodation and the location was as near perfect as was possible. The site is not too big as to be in-personal and the near by village has just enough of what you need with out it being over the top. The site was very clean and well kept.
We were just as happy staying on the local beech as we were when we struck out to the near by places of interest, Weymouth, Lyme-Regis, Burton Bradstock Hive beech(smashing breakfast at the restraint) and Beer to name just a few.
Our little pup loved every minute and you can find loads of places to take her for a dip and play.
All in all an excellent place for a holiday and will return.
Glenn, Ripon

Definitely the best caravan site we have stayed at .
It allows dogs which are all well looked after by holiday makers.
Friendly staff and a site shop which is very reasonable.
Great walks in the area, you don't need to drive to see the sites if you do t want to .

Overall the caravan we stayed in was well kept, clean and comfortable. However, it would have been nice to have a wall/mantle clock installed in the van, also a supply of sharp kitchen knives would be been useful.

Date of stay: 13th April 2018
The caravan was lovely and modern,It was heated and double glazed...much appreciated during the evenings. The kitchen has a full sized cooker and small fridge but I felt it needed a larger fridge/freezer. the bedrooms were all a good size although the windows were difficult to open and close...the catches needed fixing. The caravan definately needs a concrete/slabbed pathway from the road to the door....due to heavy rain earlier in the week the grass pathway was slippy and dangerous to walk on,with your feet sinking into the mud making the caravan muddy inside.
Jean, Wimborne, Dorset

Date of stay: 26th August 2017
We were surprised to see the caravan when we arrived it was clean and I would of said also fairly new, which is unusual for accommodation that allows pets we are use to being allocated much older caravans. The location was stunning really cannot find anything negative to say.
Vince, Evesham
Date of stay: 26th August 2017
The caravan could have been inspected better before arrival. Mold was in a draw in the double room. Toilet seat loose and shower head loose. Shower head fell a few times on childrens head and it was heavy. Cooker had grease on knobs, cleaner when we left. Found old sweets in living room. Tops of all the high wall cupboards dirty. Hoover did not work, reported on day of arrival and was replaced next morning with a new one.

We had workmen removing grass between slabs by our car one morning. This would be better when caravan vacant.
Ian, Peterborough
Date of stay: 19th August 2017

Date of stay: 5th August 2017
Overall a wonderful week with plenty of places to explore in the surrounding areas. Definitely a good base but also just as good if you want to stay on site as the beach is only minutes away without the hassle of driving and parking.
Judy, Luton
Date of stay: 4th August 2017

Darren, Melksham
Date of stay: 4th August 2017
Caravan was mid range, and good value for money. Although one door from the walk in wardrobe was missing completely. Didn't stop the wardrobe functioning as a wardrobe admittedly...
Cheryl, Derbyshire

Date of stay: 22nd July 2017
The caravan was modern but not cleaned too well food debris in drawers toilet wasn't super clean mattress needs changing was collapsing in the middle lots of dead flies in the window sills and the seating around the table seemed as though you were dropping off it as it sloped a bigger tv would have been nice
Chris, Redditch
Date of stay: 22nd July 2017
Well rested
Debra, Hanc France
Date of stay: 22nd July 2017
Lovely holiday, beautiful setting, I think the price of the caravan is a bit steep but I have not compared to similar caravan rentals so I cannot be sure. The staff were very pleasant and friendly; they let me book in early to which was very kind. I had a lovely holiday thank you

Date of stay: 8th July 2017
Great place for a holiday, is in easy access to Weymouth, West Bay, Bridport, Lyme Regis and many more places.

We will definitely be booking up to go again at some time.
John, Northwich
Date of stay: 1st July 2017
On the basis that first impressions count and the thought that the UK holiday business was trying to encourage families to return to holidaying in the UK it was surprising to find that toilet paper is not supplied and that fact is not included in the itinerary. So after a 5 hour drive had to head off to the shops to purchase toilet paper, great.
If only 1 roll had been provided that would have been acceptable but none and lets face it you can go to Aldi and buy 9 rolls for less than £2 and that's about 22p each this is really a sad presentation.
Ok moaning over yes would recommend the holiday our static van was modern and very clean could not fault it, friendly staff, location first class good for walks and only 2 minutes from beach, would defiantly stay again.
Margaret, U Ckfield.
Date of stay: 24th June 2017

Christopher, Cornwall
Date of stay: 10th June 2017
A slight moan would be the cutlery and glassware wasn't particularly clean in the caravan. May be it was the people in the caravan last. There was also rubbish left under the sink.
Graham, Winwick
Date of stay: 10th June 2017
Really comfortable caravan, with more than enough space for the 2 of us and a large dog. No issues with any of the equipment, all worked perfectly. We had some Force 8 gales during the week, and everything creaked a bit in the wind! We needed the fire on a couple of times as it got cold in the evening (in early June!) but the gas fire warmed us up beautifully.
Brian, Rowley Regis
Date of stay: 9th June 2017
had a great time enjoyed it very much thanks
Lynne, Port Talbot
Date of stay: 27th May 2017

Anthony, Lowestoft
Date of stay: 1st October 2016
We stayed in the mirage caravan which has three bedrooms although we are only two persons. our only caveat was that the kitchen lacked a tea tray, milk jug and place mats. However this did not detract from our stay and if I had asked at reception I'm sure they would have been supplied. The caravan was comfortable and centrally heated.

Great holiday park. Lovely caravan. Plenty of room for us - 2 adults, 5 year old and 2 year old. Our children loved it. Could play happily and safety outside the van.
Great location for the beach. Great location for the town - shop and fish n chip shop. Great location for exploring the area. Totally recommend a walk through Hell Lane in the village of Symondsbury.

If you are looking for a holiday park in summer just for stay and not for activities then this is the park you should be taking. No isssues but staff availability will be a problem if any issue occurs. This caravan will be cold if the outside temperature is less than 13 degrees.
Bruce, Stockport
Date of stay: 2nd May 2016
The caravan was lovely but a little cold on one night -unless you were in front of the gas fire- it was cold in the bedrooms. However, it was May and the Spring/Summer hadn't started!
Graham, Littlehampton. West Sussex.
Date of stay: 30th April 2016
A good all round caravan. The only problem was the heating. It needs radiators. A gas fire in the main room doesnt heat a bedroom & bathroom on cold nights.

We have been coming to Seadown Park for 5 years and love the fact it's so unspoilt at Charmouth and nearby resorts.
The park is so convenient to walk to the sea front and of course great for collecting fossils.

Seadown Park in Charmouth is excellent. We have used Seadown Park for over 5 years and in the past we have taken our tent and camped there. We are now using a rental holiday on site caravan. The park is extremely well maintained at all times and all the staff are very helpful, courteous and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and any problems with the caravan were very quickly resolved. This is also a very pet friendly and peaceful holiday park with lovely walks around and direct access to the beach from Seadown Park's grounds. The caravan was well maintained, clean, adequately furnished and equipped with all we needed. We have booked again for 2015 and will be booking for 2016.

Beds are a little bit on the small side and at Easter with cold nights we were not quite warm enough. But the living area is large, comfortable and warm with the gas fire. Good size kitchen area in the main living space.

This park is perfect for a quiet, family holiday by the coast. The beach was just across a small grass area from our caravan, making it easy to carry things to the beach and ideal for an early morning or evening walk along the coast. Charmouth is also centrally located for the other seaside towns along the Jurassic coastline (Lyme Regis and West Bay being our favourites). I cannot fault the caravan and we appreciated the heating in particular. A great site, thank you.

The only thing I'd change on the van would be to have heating in the bedrooms as this puts me off coming back in cooler times. Otherwise lovely. Great walk-in wardrobe!!

Just one point if you have no central heating in your caravan.
It can get cold in the bedroom and bathroom area.

Lovely and clean. Well furnished. Only complaint would be that it is very cold at times. I suggest taking a small heater and extra blankets for the night time.

This was our 2nd visit to Seadown, this time staying in a 3bed caravan. This probably won't be our last visit, it's the type of site we like as it is quiet and not too large. Staff very helpful and the grounds are very well kept. A most enjoyable holiday.

This is a lovely quiet site in a great location. No club or pub on site but that is no problem for us as we like to peace an quiet. We returned to Seadown where we have stayed before because we like it there. It's great for exploring Dorset, Devon and Somerset.

Lovely holiday with our children, easy walk to the sea through the small park and through the gate. Nice play field with tennis net, table tennis etc Ideal for walking the dog too. The only thing was that the coast path was closed (nothing to do with Seadown of course) so we could not access the coastal path walk. Easy walk to Charmouth village. surrounding area beautiful.
Penny, Burgess Hill
Date of stay: 15th August 2014
really enjoyed our time away felt right at home there
Frances, Billericay
Date of stay: 2nd August 2014
Obviously a new caravan with excellent facilities and very well equipped.
The location made the holiday - ideally situated in a beautiful spot where the river Char meets the sea. Surrounded by wide, open grassland where the children can play - ours made good use of the tennis and badminton nets.
Despite the number of dogs on site, the majority of owners were very responsible and the grounds were clean.
The lack of clubhouse/facilities makes this a peaceful and relaxing environment and is not an issue, as there are places to eat and supermarkets nearby.
We would recommend this park and intend to go back!

Date of stay: 31st May 2014
the weather was bad. the site flooded when it rained.we could not park our car next to the van;but at the back of it. we overlooked a communal area which was used by the dog owners for toileting and then, usuallly clearing up after their pets.there was a persistent pong of poo-except when it had just rained. good local facilities

Third time at the park. Good value last minute weekend break. The site warden (evening) was very good and brought me a new tin opener so we could eat!!! Thank you.
Caroline
The site was clean and tidy. Right next to the beach, with its lovely museum and where you can fossil hunt to your heart's content. Staff friendly and helpful. The caravan was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed.
Amanda
This was a peaceful and well maintained park. The location was fabulous having direct access to the rear of the park straight onto the fossil hunting beach where there is also a heritage centre that organise fossil hunting trips or tools to hire to assist in the process. The shops, cafe and fish and chip shop / restuarant were a short 5 minute walk into the small centre. Charmouth is very near to stunning places like Lyme Regis and Beer in Devon if you want to explore outside of the village, both are within a 10 and 25 min car journey; Charmouth itself is a small and quiet village. Our caravan was well equipped and very clean. During our stay a local Pizza baking van came to the site making delicious fresh pizzas to take away. My 3 children and I loved this place so much we fully intend to return next year.
Sandra
This site is situated within walking distance of the great fossil hunting beach. When the tides are right you can walk to Lyme Regis along the beach/rocks. The site does not have many facilities- but we like that.
Nicola
The park is lovely and quiet. The caravan was spacious, well equipped and clean especially as it was a dog friendly caravan. A great location for walks along the beach. The only complaint I would have is that it was a very wet week when we stayed and our caravan didn't have a path so we had to slip and slide through the mud to get to the door and with a dog this was a pain. Then trying to stop the mud being carried into the caravan we ended up using one of our own towels as a door mat!
Christine
A very enjoyable and well appointed site for a relaxing break.
Simon
The caravan we had was spacious, modern and clean set near to the beach.A small town is within walking distance and you can walk along the coastline to Lyme Regis but check the times of the tides.Unfortunately due to the previous wet weather the grass surrounding the caravans and up to their entry steps, was a mud pit...making it difficult to walk on to the caravans and impossible to park on.This area needs to be paved. Although there are pleasant areas to walk to ,it is lovely to drive to Lyme Regis and Weymouth and spend a few hours enjoying the harbour, shops and beach. The park really needs a club house and better wi-fi .
John
We booked Mon to Fri. We were blessed with the most gorgeous weather on the Wed. Thurs and Fri in which to explore the area and go on to The Swannery both of which are superb.
