Visitor Reviews of Swanage Coastal Park

Emily, Winchester
Date of stay: 5th May 2025
We stayed in the caravan recently and honestly, it was lovely-spotlessly clean and still looking quite new. There was a nice little welcome pack with some washing up stuff and a bin liner, though we’d suggest bringing your own washing-up liquid since the sachet doesn’t last long. We always wash our crockery and cutlery when we arrive, just like we used to pre-Covid and it might be worth the cleaner having a quick look under the beds-my daughter found some rubbish and sweets under hers. We weren’t entirely sure about the check-out process because there was no visitors book, so we weren’t sure if we needed to empty the bins or strip the beds, so we left the bin bags tied up inside and the beds stripped. We’re really grateful we managed to carry over our booking from 2020 to 2021, especially since the prices are nearly double for next year now. It’s a shame, but we loved our stay!

We stayed for four nights, Monday to Friday and the caravan was ready right on time. They sent us a message with all the details, which was handy. We were in caravan no 5and it was spotless when we arrived - really impressed with the cleanliness. The site itself is tidy, welcoming and easy to find, even with sat nav through the housing estate. Beds were comfy and clean and while the WiFi was a bit patchy at times, it’s not a deal-breaker. Overall, a great holiday and easy access to all the tourist spots.

Our first Hoseasons break. Booked a long weekend in Swanage as my family and friends did the McMillan Mighty Hike in memory of their dad, Gramps and husband. The caravan was spotless and well equipped. It was right by the play area which was perfect for our 4 year old but unfortunately it was out if bounds as a piece of the equipment had been broken and awaiting repair. The beds were comfortable and the quilts warm. Our only 'niggle ' was the lounge lighting. It needed a lamp as it was quite harsh. Can't comment on the walk to the town as we drove and parked. We were lucky to be there for the Folk Festival so lots going on. The lady on reception (sadly didn't get her name) was so friendly and helpful which got our break off to a pleasant start. Our first Hoseasons was a good experience.

We recently stayed in Swanage for a long weekend, marking our first Hoseasons trip. The caravan was spotless and had everything we needed, which was great. It’s situated right near the play area, perfect for our 4-year-old, though sadly, part of the equipment was broken and under repair, so he couldn’t use it. The beds were comfy and the quilts kept us warm at night-no complaints there. Our only little niggle was the lounge lighting; it was a bit harsh, so a lamp would’ve been a nice touch. We didn’t walk into town, preferring to drive and park, but we were lucky enough to catch the Folk Festival going on, which made the weekend extra special. The lady on reception (we didn’t catch her name) was really friendly and helpful, which set a positive tone for our stay. All in all, our first Hoseasons experience was pretty good - we’d definitely consider going back!

We stayed at the site recently and overall, we quite liked it. The place was spotless, which was a big plus for us. The bedroom was really comfortable and we appreciated the peaceful atmosphere - it was super quiet, which we loved. However, some things felt a bit stingy; there were no lamps or rugs and the kettle wasn’t great, so we ended up buying a tin opener. The view from the van was a bit underwhelming, but walking up the side revealed a stunning vista. We found the site a bit pricey this time around, especially since last year at Parkden, we had more amenities like a drying area and better equipment. Food under the signal chair was a let-down and the toaster was poor. We’re thinking about staying at the Gr and Hotel next year because for only £200 more, breakfast’s included and there are no taxes. Still, your site is lovely - just a few little things that could make a big difference for us.

We stayed at Seaside 3 recently and honestly, it was really lovely. The place was spotless and modern, which we appreciated. The sofas in the lounge were super comfy and the central heating came in handy in June because of the bad weather! The kitchen had everything we needed and the shower was powerful with loads of hot water. The dressing table and stool in the bedroom were a nice touch too. Overall, we had a great stay!

Lovely quiet place to stay with beautiful views and less than 10 minutes to the town centre and beach.

Our holiday was really enjoyable. The views were amazing and it was only a short walk into Swanage were there is a gorgeous beach, shops, cafes, fish and chips, lots of places to walk and explore and more. The hot tub was so relaxing and a real treat after all the walking we did. The caravan is on a steep hill (hence the great views) so it will not be suitable for everyone. We highly rate this park and area.
Kelly
good standard of accommodation, clean and modern. Nice location overlooking Swanage Bay. Maybe a little welcome pack with local information would be nice for future guests.
Marsha
We had an absolutely amazing time and our children loved every second
Hilary
A lovely quiet park just back from the front in Swanage. All amenities are available in the town but the park itself is ideal for those who just want a very quiet holiday.
John
Picking a quiet time of the year was a help. The site is well ordered though hilly, which we knew about. Overall we have nothing to complain about.
