We stayed at this place during a rainy December and it was just perfect for us. The house is super well equipped and it was lovely and warm, which was a relief. The bath was definitely a highlight, along with the big shower. The location’s great for dogs, especially those scared of fireworks, since it’s pretty remote. Honestly, we’d come back again! One thing to note is that the cottage is quite close to Stansted's flight path, so there’s quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didn’t bother us much once we got used to it, but it might be a concern if you're sensitive to noise. Overall, a fantastic place!

We had a lovely stay at this cottage tucked away on a working farm, yet it feels really private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are such charming people, making us feel welcome. The place itself is surprisingly spacious, with well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The bed was super comfy and the garden’s perfect for dogs-fully enclosed with nice furniture. Plenty of walks nearby and we enjoyed dining out in Thaxted; The Star and The Maypole are definitely worth a visit. We’d happily come back!

Really lovely caravan better than expected,our only criticism is for a 5 star site no welcome pack. That would have made it excellent, we loved it anyway just a small thing but they make a big difference.

After yet another great holiday, happy to give Waterside the thumbs up. We have returned to this facility time and time again, as we always feel we have a good time. True to say, there were no surprises, just a great place to holiday and always everything was to our liking.

We’ve just come back from a week at Waterside and we were sad to leave. Would definitely recommend staying here. The site was very clean, the facilities were great, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location was good. We loved the pools and the evening entertainment. We hired kayaks and paddle boards from the site, it was so much fun. We’ve already booked to go back, can’t wait !!
