Very nice accommodation in a lovely woodland setting

Nice lodge although layout was rather odd with a full length window from the bedroom into the bathroom and you had to access the hot tub through the bathroom patio doors.

No black out curtains in twin room like all the other rooms in lodge which is the only thing we felt was missing.

Good accomodation

Spoiled by lack of disability allowances in any of the lodges only stairs up to the lodges no ramps anywhere and lack of hand rails in the shower for people with disability to hang on too and the same at the hot tub no hand rail to allow access in and out of the hot tub these things spoiled our holiday

First off it's a lovely place and would stay again. The brand-new hot tub looked impressive. But the only two disappointments we had was firstly with the hot tub, other places we've stayed really looked after their hot tubs and would come around check ph levels and chlorine levels daily.. I can't be certain they don't at bluewood but we didn't see anyone do that and there was a really strong smell of cleaners / chlorine from day 1 and in the floating filter there were a load of chlorine tablets, I just feel like they are left there to keep it clean and I get it but the smell then wasn't very nice and not appealing. The only other issue was the heat inside the lodge now that's not their fault because it was the hottest week of the year but it would have been nice as we booked in summer, just to get the heads up and say they get really warm, especially as we brought our new born with us, there were no fans and my husband ended up driving to a few local supermarkets before finding some desk fans at an asda to use, it would have been nice for them to tell us before hand or even better supply fans for guests. But that said it's a beautiful place, staff are really friendly, the lodges are very comfy and cosy and beds were perfect. The lodges were super clean as well couldn't fault that.. hopefully they sort out the care of the hot tubs and we will be back.

This was our second visit to the Duet lodge at Bluewood. Absolutely stunning location, lodge beautiful and with everything you need. We'll definitely be returning soon.

Lodge was very clean & tidy. All essential items supplied including a teapot & tablets for the dishwasher. Beds & sofas were comfortable

Comfy bed whirlpool bath and shower were great dressing room and sauna really great and the hottub excellent surrounded by trees on 2 sides so really private

Loved our break at Bluewood Lodges, very helpful check in, fab location …we had a dog friendly lodge which could do with a little TLC, however would definitely recommend and return

A quiet and peaceful location. Not far to drive to local shops.

Cupids Lodge 4 boiler broke so we were given a different lodge without the sauna we had booked but offered £80 refund. Sunset Lodge was lovely peaceful and quiet

We just got back from a fantastic week at Goddards Mead. The cottage was so well kitted out, we lacked nothing. The hosts were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Even though it’s a working farm, it felt like a peaceful escape. Lovely place!

We just got back from a really nice four-night stay at this cottage. The owners were super friendly and helpful, but they weren’t in our way at all. The big fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around. The place had everything we needed and we even used the BBQ one evening. The hot tub was fantastic! We’d definitely come back and already told friends about it. Thanks for a great break!

Stunning lodge in a lovely location.

We stayed at this charming cottage and loved how peaceful it was, just what we needed. The hot tub was a real bonus! Owners were friendly but not pushy at all.

We had a really lovely stay! Sharon and Robert were fantastic hosts, making us feel right at home from the start. The place was spotless, comfortable and perfect for our dog Archie, who loved it there. The location was spot on, with loads of walks around and charming villages like Thaxted nearby. Honestly, we left feeling totally recharged - it was just what we needed for a relaxing getaway!

We recently spent a really relaxing weekend celebrating my partner’s 40th birthday. The location is spot on-close to Chipping Norton, Bourton-on-the-Water and of course, Diddly Squat Farm. Plenty of lovely spots to explore nearby and coming back to the hot tub was definitely the highlight. We’ll be coming back for sure!

We really appreciated how well everything was organised, from the cosy accommodation to the stunning surroundings. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to help. Can't wait to return for another break!

We had such a lovely stay at the cottage! The location is perfect-really peaceful and surrounded by stunning countryside. We loved watching the horses and the owners were super friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. Definitely a great spot for anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing getaway!

We had an absolutely lovely stay! The cottage was spotlessly clean and stocked with everything we needed. The peaceful surroundings made it perfect for unwinding. The hot tub was a real highlight and plenty of walks nearby. Highly recommended for a relaxing break!

A new lodge for 2022 with a great view and clean and modern. Hot tub was clean and topped up daily. It was possibly over chlorinated (I own a hot tub) as it was strong smelling and the cover inside shows deterioration. Check in was busy but a welcome spritzer was lovely. We didn’t get our free bottle of Prosecco until we checked out (we were not the only ones). All staff really friendly and helpful. We did make them aware our patio door wasn’t locking which was a concern when sleeping and being out and this wasn’t rectified. Could be 5* but for us the mattress was 2*. Although accommodation for 2, outside guests were allowed to visit, it would be better to have a table with 4 chairs instead of 2 chairs to eat/play games etc. The ‘welcome pack’ was too corporate ie Travelodge etc with UHT small milk pods, packets of coffee, individual packaged tea bags - a much more select local produce for example fresh bread, butter, jams, fresh pint of milk in fridge, biscuits, homemade cake etc would be excellent as I’ve had this many times before in other establishments. I would recommend Bluewood Lodges.

A really lovely place to stay. Amazing lodge. Modern and spacious. Immaculately clean. Like brand new. Peaceful and relaxing with amazing views across the countryside. Everything you could need for a self catering holiday. The hot tub was so good especially with a glass of bubbly from the complimentary bottle that we received for booking between June and August. Staff were friendly and professional. We had one little problem with the lock on the patio door but we rang the number in the folder and someone came out and sorted it immediately. It is in an ideal location for exploring all the beautiful Cotswold towns and villages. Really couldn’t find fault with anything about the holiday. I would totally recommend it.

We stayed in the sunset lodge for a long weekend and had a great time. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the lodge was excellent. The only thing that doesn’t make it a 10/10 for us is that some of the supplies were lacking e.g. only 1 chopping board, no oven gloves, no salt and pepper, only provided 1 dishwasher tablet for the whole weekend. We had to pop out to the shop to get salt and pepper and a bag of dishwasher tablets which was not a big deal but these are basics we would expect to have included at this price level.

Absolutely enjoyed our holiday at Bluewood Lodges. The Duet lodge was clean,comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was great , if you just wanted a quiet day to chill then that's what you got but there were plenty of places to visit, just a short distance if you wanted a day out. The staff were excellent, helpful and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend and we'll definitely be going back! Excellent!

Beautiful week away in the sunset Lodge nicely isolated for peace & quiet . Best hottub I've ever been in and the lodge has everything you could ever ask for. WiFi was on the weak side but nothing major. When we was there was 2 power cuts only for a few minutes but I phoned up the number and staff was so helpful. Enjoyed so much going again next week . Thank you bluewood for a cracking holiday.

Lovely lodges, so quiet and relaxing especially with the hot tubs! Staff were friendly, helpful and informative. Had a power cut whilst we were there and we were kept informed as much as they could. Great location for lots of the towns in the Cotswolds.

Such a gorgeous lodge, views absolutely amazing. Total relaxation. Pub is not near though.

Lovely place but if you like the sun it’s shady and no where to sit and chill .
