Nestled in a tranquil South Ayrshire valley with panoramic views of the idyllic countryside and rolling hills that surround it, Brunston is itself set in 25 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds.

With such beauty all around you, the holiday experience begins the moment you arrive at the resort, with relaxation time spent soaking up the surroundings from the comfort of your lodge and private decking area, in the company of loved ones.

There are plenty of on-site facilities to enjoy as well, from the heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and well-equipped gym, to activities such as mini golf and table tennis – sure to keep everyone entertained! Meanwhile, Brunston Café Bar is on hand to provide refreshments and light bites including wood-fired pizzas and cakes.

The local area is far too spectacular to be left unexplored, however, and when you venture outside of the resort you’ll find a wealth of attractions right on your doorstep.

For woodland walks, wildlife-spotting, mountain biking and forest bathing, Galloway Forest Park is 12 miles away, while the coast is just seven miles west.

Top seaside sights include the sandy Girvan Beach, the cliff-top Culzean Castle and Country Park, and the 19th-century Turnberry Lighthouse (near Turnberry Golf Club).

South-west Scotland is ready to welcome you!

The furniture was a bit old-fashioned, but the quality was solid. We appreciated the tea, coffee, toiletries and all the utensils provided-really well stocked!

We had such a lovely stay here! The lodge was spotless, modern and smelled wonderful, even with pets around. It’s in a peaceful spot close to Ayr, which was perfect for us. The site itself was super clean and the lounge, cafe and pool made us feel right at home. The staff were friendly and welcoming too-definitely recommend!

We stayed here and honestly, the lodge had everything we needed. Cooking facilities were handy and there was a dog bed plus food bowl tucked away in the cupboard. The shower was great and the electric heaters made it nice and warm. Would stay again!

We stayed in lodge 11 with three bedrooms, including the family bathroom and en suite we requested. It's at the bottom of the site, super handy. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. Really comfortable and definitely worth the price. We’d come back!

We were quite disappointed with our stay at the lodge. One of the bedrooms was unusable because of a wet carpet and a really strong, unpleasant smell that at times was overwhelming. Despite someone coming in daily and a humidifier being placed, nothing changed. It was frustrating because we paid a good amount for the stay and expected everything to be in order. Unfortunately, the issue wasn’t sorted during our visit and no alternative accommodation was offered, which was a real let down. Not what we hoped for, really.

The balcony's not very safe, could really do with some fixing up.

The place was pretty great overall, especially the facilities. Only downside was the double bed in the main room-it was so firm, we ended up feeling really sore after a week’s sleep. Still, nice stay!

Great stay, very modern and spotless lodge, perfect for families!

Date of stay: 8th May 2024
Honestly, we expected more from this place. The hot tub was a big selling point, but it wasn’t available at all. No proper internet, just guest Wi-Fi and the TV was locked with a password. Felt more like a prison than a relaxing stay, really disappointing.

We had a fantastic time, everything was just right for a relaxing hot tub getaway, couldn't ask for more!

The lodge was super comfy and really clean, which we loved. The chip van was a fun surprise and the food was delicious. Only downside was the pool being ice cold - bit of a shock! Still, we enjoyed it overall.

The staff really made our visit special. They were so friendly, welcoming and eager to help. Honestly, there's nothing to improve with the team-they were absolutely fantastic and made us feel right at home! We’ll definitely come back.

We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge! It’s a cosy spot perfect for a quick UK getaway. The only minor issues were the WiFi, which kept cutting out in the living area-especially annoying late at night when streaming-and the heating turning off on its own, making the room quite chilly. But overall, everything else was lovely and we’d definitely recommend it. Just a bit of a heads up about the WiFi and heating if you’re planning to relax and watch some shows. Still, a great place!

We booked this weekend as a surprise for my mum’s 60th birthday and honestly, it was a bit of a mixed bag. There were seven of us, so space was a bit tight, especially in the living room where seating was limited - not ideal for such a big group. The beds were comfy, which was a bonus, but the heating in the master bedroom was broken at first, leaving my mum pretty cold on the first night - thankfully, it was fixed the next day. The hot tub was lovely, but getting the lid off and back on was a real struggle and the controls on the side made it tricky to check the temp before taking the lid off. We also found there weren’t enough places to dry our towels and swimsuits after using the facilities, which was quite annoying. Plus, with seven of us, a drinks fridge would’ve been really handy, especially since there are no shops nearby. The WiFi was pretty much useless, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re bringing kids, especially if they rely on tablets - my little one is autistic and needs his routine. All in all, some good bits but definitely room for improvement.

Brunston Castle really blew us away! The lodges are spotless and well-equipped. The surrounding countryside is breathtaking, perfect for walks. Honestly, it’s a place we’ll return to!
Emily
Date of stay: 7th January 2024
We really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was spotless and had all we needed for a relaxing few days. The only downside was how dark it was at night; there aren’t many lights around the park, so walking the dog was a bit tricky-had to rely on our phone torches. Also, finding the lodge numbers when checking in was a little tricky in the dark, but overall, it was a lovely stay.

Really enjoyed it, would definitely go back again.

Date of stay: 1st November 2023
We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge; it was spotless and had everything we needed in the kitchen. Being pet-friendly was a big plus, with bowls and towels provided for our dog. The torch available for late walks was a clever idea too. The lady at reception with glasses was fantastic-so helpful and friendly. Overall, a lovely experience and we’re definitely planning to come back soon!

The place was great for our family trip. Even though some facilities were shut, we still managed to have a good time. The staff were super friendly and helpful, which made a difference. The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed. We loved the takeaway pizzas and the location was perfect for heading to Girvan beach and a quick drive to Ayr for fish and chips and some amusements. Would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely time and definitely plan to come back once facilities reopen.

Date of stay: 20th March 2020
We stayed at this lovely lodge and loved how well-equipped it was. The place really is beautiful. My only gripe is the kitchen layout-being only 5’1”, I struggled to reach most of the cupboards and appliances. Still, a great stay overall!

Date of stay: 15th March 2020
We recently stayed at Brunston Castle and honestly, the lodges are fantastic - really modern decor and super comfy beds. The hot tubs are a lovely bonus, perfect for relaxing. The facilities are straightforward to use, making it an ideal getaway spot. We loved it!
Marion

Holiday was great. Kids enjoyed every day we were there. Would definitely come back..
Ross
Fantastic place in a quiet area with amazing staff.
Michelle
What a lovely quiet resort! We had the pool to ourselves most days (and this was during the school holidays). Lodge very clean and well stocked. Staff were very friendly x
David
Fantastic holiday in ‘home from home’ well equipped lodge. Great on site facilities and close enough to the coast to have a day at the beach. Kids loved it. Staff were extremely helpful too. Contactless check-in and check-out was a breeze. That was our second visit and intend to come back.
Karin
The lodge was lovely, it was spacious and very clean. Peaceful and relaxing area. Facilities were ideal for family time putting, pool or table tennis. We had the pool to ourselves most days. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful, despite it being single staffed most of the time and them having to cover the lounge, front desk, games facilities. We would definitely visit again, we wished we'd booked a few more nights.
Mark
Lovely, peaceful location. Accommodation was very good and our boys loved the hot tub.
Nicola
The lodge was great. The perfect break it was everything we hoped it would be. Quiet, peaceful with great facilities and absolutely hassle free.
Catherine
Lovely chalet in beautifully peaceful surroundings, just the location to kick back and relax. Had forgotten how lovely the Ayrshire coastline scenery is. Enjoyed a lovely meal at Austins in Girvan, also good food at reasonable price at Yasmin's Fine Indian, the owner gave us a very friendly welcome. Will certainly stay at Landal Brunston again.
Peter
Absolutely brilliant holiday. Can't fault it in any way.
