We had a fantastic time at the cabin! It’s modern, roomy and we genuinely enjoyed every minute of it.
Emma, Greenock
Really enjoyed our stay here! The lodge was super comfy and the views of the hills were stunning. Just a couple of mirrors and a towel rail would be handy though.
Emma
We had a lovely stay at this place. The house was super well equipped and kept us really warm, which was perfect given the rainy December weather. The bath was fantastic and the shower was nicely big too. Even though it’s near a flight path, it didn’t bother us at all-no noise issues. Perfect spot if you’ve got dogs that dislike fireworks, since it’s in the middle of nowhere. Thanks a lot!
Sam
We had a fantastic weekend stay here! Everything we hoped for and more. The garden was perfect for our dogs and they really enjoyed it. Luna especially loved the underfloor heating-she was so excited wagging her tail all weekend, she even strained it! Definitely coming back, it was a great trip for both us and the pups.
Alex
The cottage was really lovely and perfect for what we needed, tucked away nicely from busy areas. The hot tub was a highlight! Owners were friendly and helpful without being overbearing. They've definitely got it just right!
Emma
We had a fantastic stay! The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed, plus loads of lovely walks just outside. The host was super friendly and quick to respond, which made everything so easy. We loved meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig-she’s adorable. Definitely coming back, such good value and a great escape for us and the dogs!

We had a really lovely stay at this good place! The location is so peaceful and private, perfect for a relaxing break. The hosts were genuinely friendly and always ready to help if needed, but they didn’t intrude on our privacy at all. The hot tub was definitely a highlight after a long day of cycling - absolute bliss! One thing to keep in mind is that the cottage is right under Stansted’s flight path, so there’s quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didn’t ruin our trip, but it might bother sensitive sleepers.
James
We had a really pleasant stay at this lovely cottage, tucked away on a working farm but surprisingly private. Robert and Sharon are such lovely hosts, making us feel very welcome. The place itself is quite spacious and well-equipped, especially the kitchen and bathroom - everything we needed. The bed was super comfy, which was a bonus after long walks. The garden is perfect for dogs, totally secluded and with nice furniture. Plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted has some great restaurants - we enjoyed The Star and The Maypole the most. Overall, a place we’d definitely recommend!
Sarah
We had a really lovely stay! Sharon and Robert were such friendly hosts, making us feel right at home. The place had everything we needed - cosy, clean and secure for our dog Archie, which was a big plus. The location was perfect for exploring, with loads of walks nearby and charming villages like Thaxted to visit. Honestly, we left feeling totally refreshed and relaxed - a proper break! Definitely recommend.
Emily
We had such a lovely stay here! Sharon and Robert really go the extra mile to make everything perfect. Even though we've been before, we’re already planning to return. Definitely a good place for a peaceful getaway!

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy cottage! It really is a little gem, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need - we didn’t have to bring a thing. The welcome pack was thoughtful, with plenty of useful info and menus; it made settling in so easy. The owners, Sharon and Rob, were super quick to reply if we had any questions. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was just perfect after a long day. Thanks for a great break, we’ll definitely be back!
Emma
We just got back from a lovely week at Goddards Mead. The cottage has everything you could think of and more. The hosts are super friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Despite being on a working farm, it’s so peaceful and relaxing!

Heidi
A lovely quiet site with beautiful views. The caravan was clean and spacious and had a lovely outside seating area. The staff on site were very helpful and gave us a call before we arrived. There was a lovely walk alongside the river just a couple of minutes from the site. We are looking forward to returning next year!
Maria
We had a lovely stay, the owner- Carol was very helpful and looking into every detail to make us feel comfortable. We had a lovely time, going for walks in the surrounding areas, taking the car for between 7 to 60 minutes to go to "must see" places nearby. Also, as the holiday park is not too big, we were private and quiet. The only thing that I would comment on is the noise from the train passing from time to time, but overall this did not disturb much.
Robert
Great wee place ?
