We had a lovely stay at this cottage! The owners are genuinely warm and helpful, making us feel so welcome from the start. The place itself is just charming-beautiful half-timbered style and super cosy inside. The shower was really strong, which was a nice bonus and the bed was comfy enough to have a proper good sleep. Parking right next to the door is so handy. We loved exploring the nearby fields and Thaxted’s pretty streets. Definitely recommend!

We had a fantastic time staying in Waterfall 3and honestly, the sea view was just stunning! The lodge was beautifully decorated and so well equipped - it had everything we needed, plus a few lovely extras. It felt much bigger than other places we've stayed before, which was a real bonus since we were a family of six. The space was great for all of us, including the kids and toddlers. We stayed in March, but I can imagine how lovely the outside deck would be in summer, with all those comfy seating areas. The area itself is peaceful and charming, not much going on, but the little beach nearby is absolutely gorgeous. The local pub was lovely too - perfect for a relaxing break. Would definitely come back someday!

The location was perfect - plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted along with other nearby villages are just charming. Honestly, we left feeling refreshed and relaxed, so it was just what we needed. Definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway!

We stayed at this charming cottage nestled on a working farm and honestly, it was surprisingly private. Robert and Sharon are such lovely hosts, making us feel really welcomed. The place itself is super spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we didn’t want to leave! The garden is perfect for dogs, totally secluded and furnished nicely. We also enjoyed exploring the walks nearby. Thaxted’s restaurants like The Star and The Maypole are worth a visit. All in all, we’d definitely recommend it!

We loved the lodge! It’s really spacious and perfectly private, with stunning views that make you feel miles away from everything. The place was spotless and had all the modern stuff we needed. The shower was fantastic with strong water pressure, which was a real treat. Even with the not-so-great weather, we enjoyed chilling out on the veranda and soaking up the peaceful vibe. Definitely recommend!

Date of stay: 23rd January 2025
We had a fantastic stay! The house was really well kitted out and super cosy, which was perfect since the weather was miserable. The bath was lovely and the shower was spacious too. The location is ideal if your dogs hate fireworks - it's so peaceful out there. And honestly, the noise from the flight path didn’t bother us at all. Thanks a lot for a great break!

Date of stay: 19th January 2025
We had a really lovely stay in this charming little spot. The setting is so peaceful and private, perfect for escaping the hustle. The owners are genuinely friendly and there if you need anything, but they respect your space. The hot tub was a great treat after cycling all day! Only thing to note is the noise from planes overhead since it's right under Stansted’s flight path. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didn’t ruin our trip at all. Overall, a fantastic place to unwind!
Natasha
