Where's Hayling Island?
Gemma Short
We booked up for hayling island last minute and was a bit nervous as we got a good deal and I wondered what the quality of the park would be like. I was pleasantly surprised as everything far outweighed my expectations. The location is ideal really close to some good beaches (although we didn't really have the weather for them) and the Fontwell caravan we stayed in was perfectly clean and adequate for our family. It seemed bigger than other caravans we have stayed in. Although we had some rainy days we really enjoyed our week here and the indoor pool was brill.

Fab park - great show on one night when we there. Would recommend to others. Our children (aged 4 and 7) were kept well entertained.

Date of stay: 3rd September 2018
Fab holiday but the general cleanliness of the place isnt great. Toilet floor wasnt cleaned for the 4 days we were there and looked thick with grime. Caravan was nice but again lots of rubbish left in there, old food in cupboards, crayons and plastic on the floor. Cleanliness really lets them down, it is very poor.
Entertainment was fab, staff were fab and location is fab.

Date of stay: 13th August 2018
It was reasonably clean and had vinyl flooring which was perfect for the dogs. Some of the cutlery was a bit dirty - remedied by my scrubbing it all in hot soapy water before use - but I would do this wherever I stayed! As we had dogs with us, I would have like a mop and bucket available. Maybe I am just a bit OCD! I did feel that the price was a bit steep but, it was August and you are paying for the facilities offered, which we may have used more had we been there for longer
Hayley, Tadley

Date of stay: 6th August 2018
Over all for us it's a nice place to stay, we use it as a base so we go off site everyday. We have already booked for next year. If your expecting a butlins style holiday this camp is too small but if you want to relax with the family with some light entertainment in a good location this site is ideal

located but we where disappointed with the cleanliness of it, I had to clean the bathroom floors as they where filthy and smaller of urine and it needed a good Hoover and dust but other than that it was warm and comfortable and that was all we needed for a place to sleep with a busy scedual.

We are a family of 7 that stayed in a 3 bedroom Emsworth.

The caravan is actually nicer than the photo on the website.

It was very clean and the beds were comfy for our 3 night stay.

However, my only gripe was the lack of wardrobe space. Three single wardrobes and no drawers between 7 people was a bit of a squeeze!! If you are reading this and have booked an Emsworth for a week, I would suggest bringing some collapsible crates for underwear/toiletries etc. to put under the beds and also some hooks. Couldn't even hang our coats up as no hooks!

Caravan was clean tidy the cupboard was a bit annoying in one of the twin rooms as in the way exspecially with 2 young tots when putting them to bed as you dont want them close to the window so we had to push the beds together and its a bit expensive for caravans now aswell

Had a lovely stay at Hayling Island mobile home was very comfortable and clean. Didn't feel like I had to clean anything before I used it. Wasn't expecting two showers and toilets which made life a lot easier and it was nice to have washer/dryer in the mobile home as well. Would certainly come back if I was going to stay in Portsmouth area.

The oven is tricky to get used to as it burns hotter then expected. The sofa cushions did keep trying to fall off on the ends. The caravan was very big for the money and we had plenty of room in the living area.

the caravan was very bright ,clean and airy The only minor matter was the single bedrooms are a bit limited on space and with no wardrobe in one of bedrooms .would have maybe found it a bit tight for storage space if we were staying longer.

Very good holiday, ideal accommodation and location for our needs, would like to stay in the exact same caravan again early September next year.
Jonathan, Grange Over Sands
Date of stay: 23rd August 2014
Hayling island is a great location, very scenic. The site itself was very good. It could do with more kids activities though. The outdoor play area was inadequate. It could do with a skateboard park and stuff for bigger kids. The restaurant was just not competitive, we ate a couple of nights at a Crown Carvery just down the road. The shop is ridiculously overpriced especially when there is a Tesco Express, just a short walk away, or two mins by car. The onsite Costa coffee was also a letdown, expensive and just not Costa quality. The caravan was excellent. Also the indoor and outdoor swimming pools were OK. Just too much chlorine.
Nicola, Aylsham Norfolk
Date of stay: 18th August 2014
The only suggestion I have is that my children are too old for the children's evening entertainment and would have really enjoyed the singing shows that were on later, however these started well after 9pm sometimes 10pm, so far too late for my children , moving these shows to an earlier slot would have been better for us
Geoff, Tunbtidge Wells

Outside furniture for the accomodation would be a real asset.
Pauline, Staines Upon Thames
Date of stay: 15th August 2014
Lovely caravan. Nice and clean site. entertainment excellent but could really do with extra children activities or maybe extending the inside amusements. Food in the restaurant excellent. Take away service terrible although there was only one young lad doing everything.
Keith, Swanley Kent
Date of stay: 9th August 2014
Can't recommend haying island highly enough best family holiday we ever had 5stars
Linda, Four Crosses, Powys
Date of stay: 8th August 2014
We had a great time at Hayling Island, all round facilities were very good. The only thing I was worried about was the lack of attention of the lifeguards particulary in the outside pool. Many times there was no one actually watching the pool-either talking ,withtheir backs to the pool or to each other with neither watching. On one occasion an 18month girl upturned on her lifering (no parent with her)but the lifeguards never saw the incident until the mother screamed and a man in the pool saved the girl.I think this is a serious matter and should be addressed.
Dennis, Fareham
Date of stay: 2nd August 2014
Excellent holiday, our grandaughter loved the pool and childrens entertainment, would definately recommend this camp, staff all friendly and helpful and the site was very clean, the caravan was clean and much bigger than we expected
Shelly, Dartford
Date of stay: 28th July 2014
Glad we had a decking area outside as it was a lovely hot weekend! It was a bit unfortunate that there were not enough chairs both outside (only 4) or inside (only 4 with 2 stools) considering this was an 8 person caravan. Also, the single beds were very small, not really for adults!
Nicola, Chatham
Date of stay: 28th July 2014
Helpful staff, clean site and fun entertainment!! Our family had a lovely time :)
Rosemary, Alton
Date of stay: 25th July 2014
We had a wonderful week with the grandchildren, entertainment and facilities were excellent, the outdoor pool was the best we have been in for a long time, so clean. We rated our stay a well deserved ten out of ten.
Michelle, Leicester
Date of stay: 19th July 2014
Great park for families with small children, in particular the in door and outdoor pools were great. Soft play and adventure playground a bit on the small side but for under 8's great. Nice area but car necessary to get to beach, more interesting places. Good base. Would recommend. Evening disco every night for kids with children's show, bit cheesy but the kids loved it!
Kathryn, Redcar
Date of stay: 18th July 2014
Fab park with lovely staff will definitely go again
Rien, Hayling Island
Date of stay: 14th July 2014
We had a nice holiday, the weather was nice. We really missed garden furniture ! This should be standard for all mobile homes.
The football area was outside the park, really not ok ! Our children could not go by themselves, something they like to do on holiday. as this area is ourside the park, we found it strange that it is not allowed to play in between the mobile homes.
Martin, Fermoy. Co. Cork. Ireland.
Date of stay: 19th May 2014
We had lovely time and would go back again, only the Price of food was more expensive than we could get down by the Beach. The Shop was great, the Staff great made us feel very welcome.

Fantastic caravan 5star all round I highly recommend this site and I look forward to returning.
Jessica
The staff at the entertainment complex were truly amazing. There weren't many families at the park at the time so everyone did their best to entertain my kids. My girls absolutely loved the games, drawing and colouring. They even received a personalised certificate at the end of the session. We couldn't be happier with the experience we had. We'll definitely come back in summer.
Nicholas
excellent place and service very nice food too
Susan
would have scored 10's but van had no central heating although we were given a radiator for the living area so there wasn't any problem, staff were friendly and helpful, and the house keeping came round the day after we arrived to check all was well,
Marilyn
Nice comfy caravan. Great location
Shannette
We found the whole holiday very relaxing. The accommodation was very good and clean. Your staff there were excellent and very very helpful. My grandsons who were aged three six and eight enjoyed the entertainment , swimming pool and the soft play area. It was are first time on Hayling Island and we did trips to the Docklands in Portsmouth which was only few miles away and to Staunton Park again only a few miles away. The children loved the little railway on the seafront at Hayling Island. We were only there for five days but we will be centainly be returning. Thank you.

The Isle of Wight Zoo a firm favourite with holiday makers on The Isle Of Wight. The Zoo aims to offer visitors a fun and educational experience with a more hands on approach than many other zoos. The onsite educational team are always on hand to help visitors get as much from their visit as possible. Playful Monkeys, adorable Lemurs and White Tigers are just some of the animal which can be seen. Younger children will also love the Zoolittle Farm area where they can meet some of the zoos more affectionate residents and even get to hold them.  At only £26.00 for a family of 4 the Zoo is excellent value for money too.
