Visitor Reviews of Kesters Country Lodges

Date of stay: 31st March 2024
The Battleburn Lodge was fantastic. The lodge was so well thought out with top quality fixtures and furnishings. Everything had been thought of with great detail and it was equipped with everything you could need for a few days away. What made it even better was its affordability, in an economy where everything is expensive it was nice to get a bit of luxury for a decent price rather than having to pay over the odds. The super king size bed was incredibly comfy too. Very welcoming for dogs and in such a peaceful location. Even with a lot of rain we still had a fantastic time and would definitely return and recommend to others. A little hidden gem.

Fantastic stay at Kesters. We booked the Friday and Saturday night but as there was nobody in the lodge before us or after us we benefitted from both an early check in and a late check out, both kindly offered by the host Rachel. She also provided a complimentary bottle of fizz, a local bottle of ale and some amazing cookies on arrival which was a lovely little touch. Perfect location for a nice relaxing weekend break, would definitely return.

Just returned home after a fantastic 3 night stay at Kesters Country Lodges. We stayed in the Caythorpe and could not have asked for anything more. The lodge is beautiful throughout and the attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Everything provided in the lodge is of a very high standard, including the welcome oaties! Will be looking to rebook as soon as possible - just wish it wasn’t so far away from home! Thank you Rachel and the team ????

We were so lucky to have beautiful sunshine all week. We enjoyed a visit to the coast, to Sledmere House, North Yorkshire Moors, Dalby Forest, Helmsley and Thornton le Dale. We ran out of days and would have liked to visit Beverly - maybe next time! The lodge had a generous decking area with comfortable furniture and a barbecue, perfect to come back to after a trip out.

We had a wonderful break. The lodge was spotlessly clean with everything you would need with a few little treats on arrival. If you want somewhere for peace and quiet this is definitely the place to go. If youre lucky you maybe spot a barn owl. Rachel who looks after the lodges is lovely.

We have recently returned from a wonderful four night stay in the Pockthorpe Lodge and our only 'complaint' is that we couldn't stay longer! It is a beautiful quiet area and the lodges are gorgeous. The lodge has luxurious fixtures and fittings (all slept so well in extremely comfortable beds) and we just loved it. There is so much to explore in the surrounding area and we ran out of time to do it all. Rachel the owner was brilliant at communicating with us by email and the welcome gifts on arrival is a lovely touch. We have already looked at when we can return but you will not be disappointed with these lodges. We can't wait to return but will stay for seven nights the next time. The Lant Family

Really well equipped house, lovely and warm too which was so nice on a rainy December day! Bath was just lovely and a nice big shower! It was everything we wanted for our weekend away and we loved staying here. We'll definitely be back! Our pups absolutely loved the underfloor heating and had so much fun in the garden. In fact Luna came home with a strained tail and according to the vet it was because she was wagging it so much over the weekend!! Very happy pups and hoomans!
