Really enjoyed our stay, the place had everything needed.

We just got back from a really nice four-night stay at this cottage. The owners are super friendly and helpful, but they’re not at all intrusive, which was perfect for us. The big fenced garden was great for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen and a BBQ one evening. The hot tub was fantastic! We’re definitely coming back and already recommended it to friends. Thanks for a lovely time!

We had a great stay at this lovely cottage, tucked away on a working farm but still very private. Robert and Sharon are such charming hosts and made us feel really welcome. The place itself is surprisingly spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we didn’t want to leave! The garden is perfect for dogs, being both secluded and dog-proof, plus there are plenty of walks nearby. Thaxted’s eateries, like The Star and The Maypole, are worth a visit-definitely recommend this spot!

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely little spot. The setting is so peaceful and private, yet the owners are super friendly and nearby if needed. The hot tub was a real treat after cycling all day! Just a heads up - the cottage is directly under Stansted’s flight path, so there’s quite a bit of plane noise. It didn’t bother us after a while, but if you're sensitive to noise, it’s worth considering. Overall, a great find and we’d definitely come back!

We had such a lovely weekend here! The place really ticked all our boxes and we’re already planning to return. Our dogs couldn’t get enough of the underfloor heating and the garden was perfect for them. Luna especially was wagging her tail so much that she strained it - the vet said it’s from all the excitement! Happy pups, happy us!

Rob and Sharon really put a lot of effort into beautifully restoring this historic place and they made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived-plus Bonnie was adorable! The location is perfect for exploring Essex, especially if you enjoy wandering around charming villages like Thaxted. It’s a peaceful spot with everything you need for a comfy, relaxing break. Definitely recommend it if you’re after a quiet getaway.

The welcome pack was full of useful info and local menus, a nice touch. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dogs and they loved it. The hot tub was fantastic after a day out. We spent a week here in July with our two little dachshunds and they honestly had a blast making friends around Thaxted. The cottage itself is really charming and the hot tub was such a treat-perfect for the scorching weather, especially since it was cooled down. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel really welcome; it was nice to see their dogs being taken out to the fields every day. Sure, you’re near Stansted’s flight path, but honestly, I found it pretty interesting watching the planes land. Would definitely recommend this place!

We really enjoyed our stay, but a small hiccup with the radiators was a bit disappointing. We mentioned that some weren’t working and lacked knobs to adjust the temperature, but it seemed like they weren’t checked beforehand. The team was quick to respond once we alerted them, which was good. Still, we ended up without heating in the main bedroom and bathrooms, which was a bit of a pain. Overall though, it’s a lovely place and we’re planning to come back!

The place itself is beautifully kept, with a cosy vibe and a lovely strong shower-perfect after a day of exploring. Parking right next to the cottage was super handy and the walks around the fields to Thaxted are just stunning. Everything was spotlessly clean and well heated, making it a real home from home.

Apart from arriving after a long journey to find they didn't have my booking, the holiday was great. The park is very quiet in a beautiful setting. The site is kept clean and tidy at all times. There's no club house just a pool but you can use there sister site which had everything there. A short walk and your by the sea and local shops or ten minute drive and your in the town. Plenty to do or just chill. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Beautiful Lodge and beautiful views

A very quiet site for when I went (13 June to 17) which was just what I needed. Very relaxing and chilled time I would stay here again but not during school holidays.

Lovely location with plenty of things for children to enjoy, with swimming pool on site. Shop local for any essentials.

Caravan very clean ,and quite ,and close to all amenities at Dawlish Warren, we had a superb holiday we said we would go back.
