We decided to spend our first Christmas away from home here and honestly, it was lovely. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The lodge was spotless, well-equipped and had a comfy hot tub that was checked daily-so relaxing! The grounds were beautifully maintained, peaceful and perfect for a stroll by the river. Also, having EV chargers on all lodges was a big plus. We loved it and will definitely return!

We found the site pretty quiet, which suited us just fine. Last year, there was always a manager around 24/7 to handle security and any issues, but this time, we didn’t see anyone. The two groundsmen were really friendly and willing to help us out with a couple of minor problems, which was great. The hot tub was out of action the first night because it hadn’t heated up enough, probably because it wasn’t turned on early enough. Our lodge was comfy overall, but there were a few maintenance niggles and some broken crockery. We did notice a lot of dead flies on the lounge floor when we arrived, but tidied them up ourselves, so no worries there. One thing to mention is that Lodge 4 has zero kitchen storage, unlike last year’s Lodge 36, which was fantastic. We’re not sure we’d come back just yet, mainly because we think having a manager on site for any issues would make a big difference. Still, gotta say, the groundsmen are fab-too much responsibility seems to be unfairly placed on them.

Honestly, we had a fantastic stay and can’t recommend this place enough. The welcome pack was genuinely one of the best we’ve seen - loads of thoughtful touches like milk, bread, shortbread, jams, coffee pods and even a breakfast pack. The dog’s welcome bag was a lovely surprise, filled with a toy, blanket, treats and a bowl - super dog friendly! The new kids’ park was a hit, though a basketball hoop for the teenagers would’ve been the icing on the cake. WiFi was solid and with our echo Alexa and smart TV loaded with Netflix, we felt right at home. The kitchen was fully equipped, including fancy cutlery, crockery, glasses and a special set for kids. The bathrooms looked and felt luxurious with high-end shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. We loved relaxing in the hot tub, robes provided and it was just perfect. Only tiny gripe - some hooks behind bathroom doors would be handy for robes and maybe more stylish bedside lamps in the bedrooms. Also, a few more instructions about the hot tub in the welcome pack would’ve been helpful. But honestly, we’re already planning to come back! The seclusion is brilliant, yet close enough to the town with plenty of shops, pubs and takeaways. Great spot!

We really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was spotless and felt so cosy. Peter, the manager, was super friendly and gave us a warm welcome, even showing us around. The breakfast pack with bread and milk was a lovely touch. Definitely coming back soon-thanks so much, Peter!

From the moment we arrived, we felt really welcomed and our lodge was all set up for us. Our host went through everything and even left us a nice breakfast pack plus some biscuits, which was a lovely little touch. The lodge itself was super cosy and well-equipped - everything we needed in the kitchen and the bed was really comfy. We enjoyed the river walk and the play area, which was perfect for our family and our dog. The only hiccup was the hot tub not working initially, but they got it sorted the next morning, so no big deal. Honestly, we’d happily come back for sure. 5 stars!

We spent a week over New Year at this place and honestly, it was pretty lovely. The lodge was just the right size for our group of six adults plus our little Jack Russell-plenty of space and well equipped, with things like a dishwasher and washing machine which made things so much easier. We loved using the hot tub every day; a staff member kept it spotless each morning, which our dog found hilarious! Only small gripe was the outside lighting on the steps - it was dark so early, around 3pm, making it tricky to see when taking the dog out in winter. The site itself was peaceful, well-kept and all the staff were super friendly and welcoming. We’d definitely return!

Honestly, we had a brilliant stay at this lodge. The place was spotless and felt really luxurious. The little touches like toiletries, extra towels, robes, slippers and a kit pack were thoughtful touches that made things easier. We especially loved the full breakfast pack - no rushing to the shops in the morning! The hot tub was fantastic and kept perfectly clean. The sofas were super comfy, which isn’t always the case elsewhere. The staff were friendly and always ready to help. Quiet, peaceful surroundings with lovely walks, yet close enough to amenities. The kids loved the swing park too. Definitely recommend and we’ll be coming back!

Our first visit and honestly, we loved it! The lodge was spotless and looked stunning, plus the warm welcome made us feel right at home. Having access to the hot tub around the clock was such a treat. We stayed for a week just to relax and it was perfect for that. Definitely planning to come back and will be telling family and friends about it. Thanks for making my 40th birthday so memorable! It was a fantastic experience.

We recently enjoyed a really peaceful stay in our lodge, complete with a hot tub which was a real highlight! The lodge itself was spotless and the grounds were well-maintained. When we arrived, the reception staff made us feel welcome and guided us straight to our cabin. Inside, there was milk, bread and a cooked breakfast pack with eggs in the fridge - plus tea, coffee, biscuits and a cute little treat for our dog. We’d definitely recommend staying here - it’s just lovely!

We had such a relaxing time here! The lodge was spotlessly clean and super cosy, perfect for unwinding. The beds were really comfy and the views? Absolutely stunning, especially early mornings. The hot tub was a real treat and was checked twice daily, which made us feel really looked after. Peter was a fantastic host, friendly and helpful-he explained everything clearly, making check-in easy. The location is so peaceful, you barely hear any road noise, just peaceful nature all around. We saw plenty of wildlife too-birds, squirrels and even a fox! Eight days of pure bliss in the Scottish countryside, a real escape from city life.

The staff here are genuinely friendly and always willing to help, which makes a big difference. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and the bathrobe and slippers added a nice cosy feel. Location's peaceful but close to Dundee and Perth, WiFi's reliable too. Would definitely recommend staying here, really enjoyed it!

We really think owning transport is essential here. The location is perfect for outdoor lovers and families, being quite secluded yet central enough. The site is expanding, with around 15 units now and more groundworks ready behind a secure fence. The lodges are brand new, equipped with all modern comforts-hot tubs, comfy furniture on spacious verandas-you’d struggle to find any faults with the accommodation or facilities. Within minutes, you can walk to the river Isla and enjoy a 1.5-mile stroll along its quiet banks, plus there's fishing in season for trout, grayling and salmon. Nearby towns like Alyth and Blairgowrie offer golf courses and further afield, you’ve got Dundee, Dunkeld, Perth and others for exploring. Honestly, four nights isn’t enough to see everything! No complaints from our group at all, just a lovely stay.

Date of stay: 1st November 2023
We recently spent four lovely, peaceful nights at this lodge and honestly, it was just what we needed. The location is proper out in the countryside, surrounded by fields and quiet farm roads - super relaxing. Though remote, it’s only about 10 minutes drive to shops and places to eat, which is handy. The lodge had everything we could think of - cooking gear, towels, sheets, bath robes, slippers, even a hairdryer and straighteners. The manager went above and beyond, leaving us a breakfast pack with eggs, milk, bread and some meat, which was a nice touch. We loved visiting nearby attractions like Scone Palace and Glamis Castle, both within easy reach and dog friendly. But honestly, the best part was coming back after a day out and sinking into the hot tub. The weather was perfect for us, sunny and warm and we picked fresh strawberries and raspberries from local farms. If you want peace and quiet, this place is a dream!

We had such a lovely stay! The cottage feels private yet is close enough to town for essentials. The hot tub was fantastic and the underfloor heating kept everything cosy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel really welcome. Can't wait to return for a longer visit soon!
Emma
We had a fantastic stay! The cottage was spotlessly kept and had everything we needed. The dog walks right outside were perfect for our high-energy pup. The host was really friendly and quick to reply, which made everything smooth. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a lovely touch. We’ll definitely return!
Emma
We loved the place-spotless, comfy and well kitted out. The hot tub was the highlight! Fabulous stay!
