Visitor Reviews of Warren Lodges

The lodge feels quite outdated and in need of a good clean. Basic stuff like plates and glasses are missing.

The lodge itself is really roomy, with comfy bedrooms and a large living space. The estate’s got loads of activities like a pool, gym and golf. Just wish there were more utensils and crockery and the hot tub needed a clean.

The lodge is quite old and starting to look a bit worn out.

We recently visited from Canada and honestly, staying at #17 Warren Lodge was the highlight of our trip! It exceeded all our expectations and then some. The lodge is simply fantastic and we can't wait to return. Thanks for making our holiday so memorable - it truly was an unforgettable experience! Definitely recommend!

We stayed at the lodge for a family event and honestly, it was quite disappointing. The place was far from the luxurious vibe we expected based on the description. In fact, if this is what they call luxury, we’re really curious about what a basic lodge looks like! The whole place felt very run down and in desperate need of a proper refurb. It was reasonably clean, thanks to the cleaning team, but it still didn’t seem up to the standard you’d hope for, especially given what we paid. The kitchen was a bit of a let-down; only 2 out of 5 burners on the hob worked, which was a pain considering we had six people. There wasn’t enough crockery or utensils either, making cooking and eating a bit of a chore. The outside wasn’t much better - the windows were filthy and the outdoor area was in a terrible state, which was a shame since the site itself is lovely and peaceful. We booked the lodge because we were attending a wedding at Warren Estate and had family coming over from Switzerland. When we arrived, we were told the hot tub wasn’t working - not a huge problem, since we got a refund, but it did feel like we were settling for less. The staff were lovely and very friendly, which was a bright spot, but honestly, the standard of the accommodation does reflect poorly on Warren Estate’s reputation. We even showed a potential buyer around the lodge and they mentioned it was in serious need of a complete overhaul - so how can it be described as luxurious? We feel quite let down and believe the listing was misleading. It’s frustrating to see such a discrepancy between the advert and reality and we think some recompense is justified.

The lodge itself was comfy, though it definitely needs a bit of a facelift. The hot tub was fantastic and had all the essentials. Signal was pretty rubbish and Wi-Fi was almost non-existent, but the location was perfect for exploring and just a short trip to London. Would stay again!

Really pleased with the spot, perfect for six outside seats, lovely view and all we needed really.

The ad made it seem like we’d have a private relaxing spot, but in reality, the caravans are just a couple of metres apart. Not quite what we expected, a bit disappointed really.

We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, it was quite lovely. The place is bright and spacious, which we really appreciated. The pool was warm and perfect for relaxing after a day out. A couple of things could be improved - like the inside of the fridge needing a proper clean and the internal doors looking a bit grubby. Also, only one towel each was provided, plus a kitchen towel, so we had to bring extra towels ourselves. No hand towels or bath mat was a bit tricky. Still, we loved our stay and definitely want to return!

The place is in a fantastic spot, but honestly, the lodge itself isn’t great. It’s on the market, so that explains the shabby look.

We really enjoyed our stay. The chalet was comfy and roomy, just a bit in need of some sprucing up. The hot tub was a real highlight and the layout offered good privacy.

Dog hair is pretty much everywhere, needs a serious clean-up, honestly.

We’ve stayed here twice now and interestingly, we ended up in the same lodge as five years ago. Honestly, the place is looking pretty tired and could do with a bit of a refresh. The fridge/freezer is still working but definitely needs fixing or replacing. We also found ourselves hunting for extra utensils, pots and pans since there aren’t enough for self-catering. On the plus side, the beds and linens were comfy and we slept well. The hot tub was a real highlight, but considering how dated the lodge is, it felt a bit pricey.

Had a great weekend here with a mate. The hot tub was a real highlight! Everything was spotless and we appreciated the choice to stay in or explore nearby. Definitely coming back!

The lodge’s location is great, but honestly, the state of the place really let it down. The en-suite was terrible and access wasn’t great either. Disappointed.

We came back for a second visit and definitely plan to return. Perfect spot for a chill weekend. The lodge’s privacy was great and spotting deer from the window was lovely!

Nice spot overall, though the lodge feels a bit worn out and could do with a makeover. Hot tub's a lovely touch!

The accommodation was absolutely lovely very vey clean and they had thought of everything lovely little touches. The staff were amazing so very helpful and before we finished our break we booked to go back. Amazing.
Noreen
Stayed with family and had the freedom to come and go, although there were a lot of lodges I still felt we had privacy, only complaint was the kids couldn't go in pool after six but overall we had a lovely time
Michaela
This lodge is beautiful, in a gorgeous location and the Lodges are not too close so you get privacy. Few little bits niggled me initially but really ot worth the bother in the long run. Reception extremely helpful the one time we needed them
Ccile
We had a lovely time. At arrival we found out that the hottub wasn't working and the staff let us change with another accommodation.
Lynn
The staff were helpful and polite, i have stayed in lodge 26 before and saw the improvement to the decking and the new hottub, the decor of the lodge looks a little tired and is in need of redecorating, torn wall paper in the bathroom and a couple of other locations also the strings to the blinds need repairing or replacing. The location is great abd the swimming pool abd gym to a high standard
Paul
Great time thanks
Elizabeth
Lovely surroundings, staff very good, didn't use pool or gym but looked good.
