There was a large bar which served really nice pub food. Whatever on menu you could buy as takeaway which was very well presented. It was not expensive.
We loved Wild Rose and would like to go again this summer. The park is very well maintained and spotless. A treat to walk around also the mountain views were lovely.
Rachel, Raunds

Excellent caravan, well worth the money.
Daniel
Date of stay: 16th October 2015
The caravan was very nice but a few doors didn't close properly on the latches, and pans were all small. Other than that top draw. The site is very peaceful and great for walks. The staff are friendly and helpful. Great site 9 out of 10
Fiona, Airdrie
Date of stay: 16th October 2015
overall the cleanliness was really good - but there was sweet papers/ sweet etc under beds.
Alan, Stockton
Date of stay: 25th September 2015
nice and warm- had everything needed, condition was excellent. only reason for 9 instead of 10 was the fact that the fit out was a little basic.
Elaine, Formby
Date of stay: 28th August 2015
A beautiful caravan but only a small dining area. It had a table with 4 chairs, which does not make sense when the caravan sleeps 8. We had to ask for another chair after one of us had to sit on the arm of the couch on the 1st evening.
Simone, Manchester
Date of stay: 17th August 2015
Beautiful surroundings. Pool far too cold to use. Clubhouse food is tasty and good value. Nice family stay if you are happy to make your own entertainment. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Will return!
Tony, Woking

Date of stay: 24th July 2015
Great break and accommodation. Swimming pool freezing and not heated as advertised but had a lovely week.
Melanie, Rochdale
Date of stay: 20th July 2015
Very good standard of dog friendly accommodation - the mattresses were the comfiest I have ever come across in a caravan.
Stuart, Bathgate
Date of stay: 17th July 2015
Caravan was brand new or nearly new. No faults. Spotless inside. Good size kitchen and lounge area. Having an enclosed outdoor balcony was great with us having a toddler. We had to get one off the single beds removed to fit the travel cot in, so something to be aware of, depending on numbers in your party.
Christopher, Birmingham
Date of stay: 10th July 2015
Everything you need is supplied from beds made up to a lovely welcome pack of bread and jam. Was lovely to open the lounge patio doors to look out onto the fields to watch the sheep and birds.
A, Newport-on-tay
Date of stay: 10th July 2015

Date of stay: 30th March 2015
Usually we have had to stay in a bronze caravan as we take our dog; however, this caravan was totally different. Central heating in all the rooms. It was a pleasure to stay in this caravan as a family with our 11 year old rough collie.
Ruth, Warrington
Date of stay: 20th February 2015

Date of stay: 29th September 2014
Our accomadation was fantastic. Clean and tidy.
Susan
Date of stay: 29th August 2014
The caravan and staff were FABULOUS. The amenities on the site need upgrading, i.e. childrens playgrounds, tennis courts and the heated swimming pool was icey although it was advertised as heated. The area was very pretty but we enjoy walking and we needed the car to travel to good walking country (this is why we wouldn't return not on account of the accommodation). Also if the weather had been bad we would have struggled a bit entertaining the children. However we couldn't rate the caravan and staff high enough.
Helen, Mansfield
Date of stay: 29th August 2014
The caravan was very clean and we had a couple of minor issues which were resolved straightaway. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and the part of the site where we stayed was very well laid out for privacy.Very good and efficient. The Wild Rose was lovely, the surroundings quiet and good for walking. The shop was well stocked and very reasonably priced and even though we aren't used to having a club it fit well into the quiet surroundings and we did use it twice. We think the nightly items such as quiz and kareoke should be advertised more maybe on reception or the entrance to the park.
Lisa, Southport
Date of stay: 29th August 2014
Loved our holiday! Caravan was well equipped & with 3 children of 17yrs, 13yrs & 4yrs we were impressed that we didn't struggle for space. The site was well kept & the CBB's show in the bar was an unexpected bonus! We have stayed here previously and we are really pleased with the addition of the bar onsite. The staff were lovely both in reception, the shop, onsite generally & in the bar.
We will definitely be back.
Lee, Toddington
Date of stay: 25th August 2014
The only downside is that there is no indoor heated pool which we knew about when we booked the holiday. The caravan was high spec but the bathroom lacked shelf space and coat hooks on which to hang towels. We would come again, we thought it was good value for money but a few extras in the caravan would have been nice.
Steven
Date of stay: 25th August 2014
We had a wonderful time at Wild Rose holiday park. It is in a wonderful location with so much for a family to do in the surrounding area.
The park is not an all action park like some we have stayed on but the facilities that are there are very good. The good and atmosphere in the bar was fantastic.
We have booked up for next year already as we loved the park and location so much.
Victoria, Whitby
Date of stay: 18th August 2014
A lovely park and great accommodation x
Alex
Date of stay: 15th August 2014
a really nice place to stay, lots of green,we didnt have the greatest of views as we were opposite the area they dump the old furniture etc.. but we would go again.not to far from things to do,definatley need a car though
Emma, Preston
Date of stay: 15th August 2014
We were disappointed with our holiday. There was no entertainment on at night for the kids which we were looking forward to and nothing for the kids to do during the day. We couldn't even go swimming because there is no indoor swimming pool and the weather prevented us using the outdoor pool.
Fiona, Norfolk
Date of stay: 8th August 2014
Caravan not very clean very dusty by tv and dvd player, and alot of blonde hair on back of settee (not belonging to us).

Welcome pack was lovely idea.

Tourers positioned at entrance not great as many children on bikes not being supervised, also no life guard so children on their bikes round the pool. Shame more people didnt adhere to the "no noise after 10.30pm" rule, this was not enforced either.
Claire, Barnoldswick
Date of stay: 1st August 2014
Lovely park, would definitely visit again, a few alterations to the kids play areas and it would be perfect, highly recommended.
Julie, London
Date of stay: 25th July 2014

Iain, Paisley
Date of stay: 18th July 2014
great place we used it mostly as a base as our kids are older so we could travel around the lakes friendly staff and fantastic accommodation park itself was clean and tidy staff were very helpful
Jean, Appleby Cumbria
Date of stay: 18th July 2014
Shower drain was blocked so had to be quick in shower.....also the caravan could have done with a table and chairs on decking. there was only one chair on decking.
Bronagh, Castleford
Date of stay: 18th July 2014
Facilities for kids are old and need updating. The pool is good but playpark is tired with a poor surface, I didn't feel safe there with my 2 year old. The games room also needs attention & modernising. The bar is very poor. No food apart from fri sat & sun & was empty most of time. No atmosphere. Will go back but would avoid bar at all costs.
Jerome, Inverness
Date of stay: 14th July 2014
Wild rose park was a beautiful park. The negatives were that the swimming pool was very cold and would have been much better if it was more heated. The facilities were also quite limited which was dissapointing particularly being in July.
Les, Prestonpans
Date of stay: 11th July 2014
Lovely camp, play equipment is functional but could do with an overhaul as would the arcade.

The shop needs better opening hours.

The caretaker is utterly fantastic and very helpful.
Stephen, Birmingham
Date of stay: 30th May 2014
Great holiday - we were lucky that we had the use of the neighbouring caravan for free because they were waiting for a new oven, so we didn't have to sleep all ten of us in the one caravan. The staff are very kind and helpful, great location for visiting the lake district and the northern pennines
Jacqueline, Sunderland
Date of stay: 23rd May 2014
Had a fantastic few days away very relaxing and would book this park again.
Colette, Frodsham
Date of stay: 2nd May 2014
Lovely park, great value for money. Would go again!
Malcolm, Loughborough, Leics
Date of stay: 25th April 2014
Enjoyed our Easter break at Wild Rose Park. There were a couple of problems viz (a) caravan was not ready at scheduled time and (b) although we reported at reception no end stops on curtain rails in lounge area, which resulted in curtains sometimes coming off rail if pulled too far, and that the kitchen taps were loose (just needed tightening to sink unit) neither were attended to during our stay. Nevertheless we have no hesitation in recommending the site and would visit again.
Julie, Liverpool
Date of stay: 21st April 2014

Absolutely beautiful place to stay, extremely clean and modern caravan. Friendly staff lovely food really could not fault anything. Had a lovely holiday and old definitely stay again.
Raymond
Nice Park caravan was clean and comfortable and warm as it was snowing and icy on our visit nice bar and restaurant beer prices very reasonable and food was good be warned you get huge portions helpful and pleasant staff nice welcome at reception booked to go again this year but trying a lodge this time
Kathryn
Lovely site. Caravan was excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Joy
The caravan was lovely, just needed a few finishing touches to make it perfect, such as, bath mats for outside the shower/ towels/ some egg cups/ possibly a set of plastic beakers/plates for children staying/ little wastes bins in bathroom & bedroom. I know not necessary but we had to improvise with a hand towel for outside the shower so we didn't slip, especially the grandchildren, had to take bin out of the main area for the bathroom for sanitary items & improvise glasses stuffed with tissues as egg cups for boiled eggs & soldiers for grandchildren. Silly things, but essential things.

Fun Days Out near Wild Rose Park

about 19 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
about 21 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
about 27 Miles
Here at the Wildlife Oasis you can really get up close to the animals and experience a mix of exotic wildlife and hand son displays.  See butterflies, birds and even bats flying around.  You don't have to plan your visit according to weather either with the tropical hall and butterfly house undercover.  Sunny days are ideal for some of the inhabitants however with the monkeys and Lemurs loving to sunbathe.  The mission of Lakeland's Wildlife Oasis is to engender and foster an interest and appreciation of the natural world which, in our belief underpins wildlife conservation; and, where possible to contribute and encourage contribution to the conservation of wildlife and wild places.  You know that you are helping with this mission if you choose to visit.
about 27 Miles
Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.
about 30 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
about 31 Miles
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
about 36 Miles
Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.
about 38 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

about 39 Miles
Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.

This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire.  Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour.  You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals.  Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.
