Riverside Cabins is an award-winning riverside retreat set within 10 acres of tranquil woodland in the heart of Rural Shropshire, perfectly placed between Shrewsbury and Oswestry and close to the award-winning British Ironwork Centre. Perfect for any time of year, our collection of boutique riverside cabins, family-sized luxury lodges, accessible accommodation and our brand-new Treetop Lodge offers everything from romantic escapes and family breaks to group bookings, retreats, corporate events and now weddings.
Every cabin and lodge is dog friendly, named after a beloved dog, and designed for year-round comfort with underfloor heating, king-size beds, open-plan living, private hot tubs, fire pits, outdoor furniture and free Starlink WiFi. All accommodation features fully equipped kitchens with a dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, air fryer, kettle, toaster and coffee machine, plus Smart TVs and thoughtful essentials such as tea, coffee pods, dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid, cling film and foil. Our spacious luxury lodges also include full-size ovens and Bluetooth speakers, while the boutique riverside cabins offer private covered balconies overlooking the river and have been carefully positioned for maximum privacy.
What truly sets Riverside Cabins apart is that adventure is included. Guests can enjoy complimentary kayak and paddleboard hire throughout their stay, along with access to our natural plunge pool, fishing, wild swimming and riverside walks. Explore the on-site nature trail, woodland paths, nearby cycling routes and viewing platform, or simply relax and watch kingfishers, swans, water voles and our resident flock of ducks from one of the communal riverside seating areas, hammocks, or your own private decking.
At the heart of the site is The Smokehouse, our fully equipped outdoor kitchen featuring a large Kadai fire bowl, Kamado Egg, gas BBQ and Ninja Woodfire grill, creating the perfect space for alfresco dining and celebrations. The Nest offers a flexible indoor space available to hire for yoga sessions, movie nights, games evenings, retreats and corporate meetings.
As evening falls, guests gather at Bar Mumbles, our quirky bring-your-own bar set within a natural quarry. With weekend bonfires, riverside seating and our popular "Flicks in the Sticks" outdoor cinema projecting films directly onto the quarry wall, it is one of the most memorable experiences on site.
To make your stay even more special, you can order locally sourced hampers from Host’s Pantry, ranging from breakfast and BBQ boxes to cream teas and cheese & charcuterie boards. We also offer in-cabin treatments, private chefs, yoga and dance sessions, and unique workshops including chocolate making.
Dogs are always welcome for £20 per dog per stay (maximum two per accommodation) and receive their own welcome pack with a bed, bowl and treats. Guests can also take advantage of our EV charging facilities and enjoy exclusive 10% discounts at selected local pubs, with excellent cafés and farm shops just a five-minute drive away.
