We stayed at this lovely little cottage recently and honestly, it was a great find. The owners are genuinely lovely and very attentive without being overbearing. The place itself is super cosy, with a charming half-timbered exterior that really feels authentic. The shower is strong, the kitchen and lounge make for a perfect relaxing space and the bed was incredibly comfy. Parking right outside was a real bonus, plus it’s well heated and spotless. We enjoyed some lovely walks through the fields to Thaxted, which is just a short drive away. Definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway!

We had such a lovely time! Sharon and Robert really went out of their way to make us feel at home, which was much appreciated. The place was spotless, comfy and perfect for Archie, our dog - felt totally secure. The location was spot-on, with loads of great walks and charming villages like Thaxted nearby. We had a lovely stay at this cosy spot, tucked away in a really peaceful, private area. The owners were super friendly and always on hand if we needed anything, yet respectful of our privacy. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day cycling around. Just a heads up - it’s right under Stansted’s flight path, so there's quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didn’t bother us much once we got used to it, but it’s worth mentioning if you're sensitive to sounds. Overall, a great place to relax!

We had such a lovely week here from 15th to 22nd July with our two mini dachshunds. They really enjoyed their stay, making friends in the charming village of Thaxted. The cottage itself is beautiful, especially the hot tub - perfect for those scorching summer days, as it was cooled down and super refreshing. The hosts were genuinely welcoming and it was nice to see their dogs being taken out to the fields daily. Being near the Stansted flight path was actually quite fun, watching the planes land. We had a fantastic stay at this charming cottage, nestled on a working farm but surprisingly private. Robert and Sharon are such lovely hosts, making us feel right at home. The place is huge, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfy bed that made waking up a pleasure. The garden is perfect for dogs, totally secluded and with nice furniture to relax in. We stayed at a really cosy, well-equipped house that kept us warm during a rainy December. The bath was fantastic and the shower was quite spacious - perfect after a long day out. The location is peaceful, with no noise from the nearby flight path, which didn’t bother us at all. Great spot for dogs, especially if fireworks scare them. Thanks a lot for a lovely stay!
