We had a lovely stay! The owners were super friendly and helpful, especially when the storm knocked out the power. The cottage was warm, spotless and well-equipped. Our dog loved the enclosed garden and we enjoyed the hot tub too!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was super well equipped and kept us cosy despite the rainy weather. The bath was a real treat and the big shower was great after long walks. The location is perfect for dogs that hate fireworks, being quite remote. The property itself is really lovely and well converted. Honestly, we’d definitely come back. Thanks so much!

We just got back from a fab week at Goddards Mead. The cottage’s got everything you could think of, really well equipped. The hosts are super friendly and welcoming. Despite being on a farm, it’s surprisingly peaceful and feels like a little escape. Lovely spot!

We had such a lovely stay at Goddard's Mead! Rob & Sharon put so much care into converting this historic building and it really shows. They gave us a warm welcome, along with Bonnie, which made us feel right at home. The location is perfect for exploring Essex’s charming villages like Thaxted, which is full of fascinating history and beautiful buildings. Honestly, we’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking to unwind in a cosy spot.

We stayed in the Roseberry caravan and honestly, it was just right for us. It made a great base for exploring and relaxing. The only tiny gripe was the bed being a bit too soft for our liking, but that’s just personal preference. Overall, a lovely stay and we’d come back!

We loved this charming little cottage! Perfectly tucked away for peace but still close enough to explore the local area. The hot tub was a real treat after a day out and the underfloor heating kept us cosy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made everything feel so welcoming. Can’t wait to return!

We had such a lovely weekend here, it really ticked all the boxes for us. The place was perfect and our dogs had an absolute blast-especially with the underfloor heating, which they adored. The garden kept them entertained for ages. Luna even came back with a strained tail from wagging so much! Definitely coming back soon. Cheers!

We had a lovely stay at Goddard's Mead. Rob and Sharon really put a lot of effort into restoring this historic place and they’re so welcoming - Bonnie too! The location is perfect for exploring Essex, especially if you enjoy wandering through charming villages like Thaxted. The place itself is cosy and well-equipped, making it a great spot to unwind. Definitely recommend taking some time to soak in the local history and sights nearby.

Date of stay: 26th March 2025
We had such a lovely stay at this good place! The setting is really peaceful and private, perfect for relaxing away from the hustle. The owners were super friendly and always available if we needed anything, but it never felt intrusive. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day of cycling - absolute bliss! Just a heads up, the cottage is right under Stansted’s flight path, so there’s quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didn’t bother us much after a while, but if you’re sensitive, it’s worth mentioning. Overall, a great place to unwind!

We just got back from a four-night stay at this charming cottage and honestly, we had a lovely time. The owners are super friendly but not at all intrusive-they’re just there if you need them. The big fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around safely. The place was fully equipped and we even enjoyed a barbecue one evening. The hot tub was fantastic! We’d definitely come back and already recommended it to friends. Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed at this lovely cottage and were genuinely impressed. It’s so well equipped, we barely needed to bring anything and our car was totally overloaded! The welcome pack was handy, packed with all the info and menus you’d want, a real thoughtful touch. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dogs and they loved it here. The hot tub was a real highlight-absolutely amazing. Sharon and Rob were quick to reply if we had any questions, which was really helpful. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Brilliant location for a family holiday. All facilities are on site that you need and the pool is great on a warm day. Close for a drive into Bridlington and Scarborough.

We spent a week at the Park Dean resort and couldn't fault the staff, they were all friendly and very helpful! The children's entertainment was fun and my children enjoyed engaging in the games during the night. The food was brilliant and the prices were good. I would recommend this holiday park to others
Helen
A lot of the advertised items were unavailable, the restaurant staff were rude or missing due to being in the back laughing until it came to the last night of the holiday when they were all sat enjoying themselves in the bar and actually put some music on. That aside the site was clean, well maintained and quiet, would definitely go back but not use the bar/restaurant!
Lynda
