Visitor Reviews of Cresswell Towers

Emma Carter
Date of stay: 30th October 2024
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, loved it!
Alex
Date of stay: 21st October 2024
We stayed in this caravan recently and while it’s a decent place, the layout isn’t quite thought through. The dining table is tiny, which was a bit frustrating and the curtains draped onto it, making us feel a bit uneasy about eating there. Still, it’s okay overall.

Date of stay: 6th September 2024
Had a fantastic time! The staff really go above and beyond and the beaches are absolutely lovely. Definitely recommend this place!

Date of stay: 14th August 2024
The bed was super comfy and plenty spacious and the shower had great pressure. Only slight issue was the narrow doorway, but overall, very tidy caravan.
Alex
Date of stay: 13th July 2024
Honestly, we were pretty disappointed. The caravan looked nothing like the photos online. It was dirty and had a strong wet dog smell. Plus, the tight space made getting into bed tricky with a walking aid. Not what we expected.

Really loved the caravan, it was perfect for us and our dog! Definitely recommend.

Date of stay: 1st November 2023
Overall, we had a lovely stay. The location was just what we needed and the caravan was spotless and well equipped. The only downsides were the two power cuts, which weren’t the site’s fault and the limited storage in the bedrooms. The maintenance team was really helpful when we needed them. Would recommend!

We stayed in September, using the caravan as a quiet base for exploring the area. The Woodlands spot was so peaceful, just what we needed. The caravan itself was super clean, with everything in the kitchen you could want. Heating was spot on, with both electric fire and central heating. The sofas had a few faint stains, but that’s only fair considering it was the end of summer. Overall, a great stay and the cleaners did a good job. We’d come back!

Really good van, comfy beds and super clean!

Honestly, we were really disappointed. The caravan didn't resemble what we booked and there was no water or internet. Completely scammed!

The park really has something for everyone and the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. Our caravan was spot-on for what we needed-super comfy and spotless. Honestly, can’t find a single fault. Brilliant!

Really enjoyed our stay! The mobile home was spacious, comfy and well-equipped. We felt right at home. Highly recommend!

Date of stay: 1st November 2023
Honestly, we knew it was a dog-friendly place, so we weren’t expecting perfection. Still, the smell of wet dog in the caravan was pretty overwhelming, which was a bit of a letdown. When the staff checked in, they offered to treat the caravan with an odour ‘bomb’ if we could leave for an hour-kind of them, but it should really be standard before new guests arrive. The carpet was covered in dog hair and the sofa cushions were badly stained, which didn’t help. The pull-out beds for the last two guests were terrible; the mattress was so thin and dusty, it was impossible to sleep on. Also, there was no bedding for the first night, which was annoying. To top it off, we lost water on day two and by day three, the pressure was so bad we just decided to leave early. No oven gloves in the kitchen either and the caravans were really close together, so privacy wasn’t great. It’s a shame because the location was nice, but these issues really affected our stay.

Comfortable enough, but a bit on the snug side really.
Emma
Date of stay: 25th April 2023
Overall, we had a decent stay. The caravan was surprisingly spacious and really clean, which was a plus. We did notice the outside steps were a bit covered in bird droppings and while we get it’s not staff’s fault, a quick clean before our arrival would’ve been nice. The heating issue was sorted out pretty fast, so no complaints there. One thing that bugged us was the lack of proper paths-once you step off the road, you’re walking on wet grass, which isn’t ideal, especially with a kid. The only small path from the car park was full of twigs and leaves, making it a bit tricky to use safely. Still, it wasn’t all bad!

Spacious and comfy, really loved it!
Mark, Cirencester
Date of stay: 15th August 2020
We really enjoyed our stay and loved the location, it’s quite convenient. The only downside was the WiFi-despite being so close to the mast, the signal was pretty weak. We ended up not bothering with it and just catching up at reception when we left. Honestly, not worth paying for WiFi here, save your money!
Claire, Rochdale
Date of stay: 14th August 2020
Really enjoyed our stay, peaceful location, lovely lodge, would return.
Emma, Yorkshire
Date of stay: 10th August 2020
We were a bit nervous about visiting during covid, but check-in was smooth and totally contactless, which was reassuring. The caravan was super clean - really impressed! The arcade was tidy too and grabbing takeaway through the app was easy and tasty. The site’s lovely and just a short walk to a fantastic beach. Only downside was parking over the weekend, as it got busy and we had to park quite far from our van. Still, would definitely recommend!
Emma, Gretna
Date of stay: 31st July 2020
We really enjoyed our stay; the caravan felt warm and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. The park was tidy and in a lovely setting. The toaster kept tripping the power a few times, but it was replaced quickly. A proper hoover would’ve been handy, especially with our dog around, but overall, a nice place!
Alex, Wisbech
Date of stay: 25th July 2020
We loved the caravan-spotless and well equipped. The kitchen had fantastic hot water pressure, but the kettle’s loose switch was a minor annoyance. Overall, great stay!
Emma, Irvine Ayrshire
Date of stay: 10th July 2020
The caravan was really clean and well-equipped, making it feel just like home. Lovely stay!

Absolutely loved it, would recommend!
Emma, Pembrokeshire
Date of stay: 19th August 2019
We stayed in the Chillingham caravan with a group of 8 and found it really cosy. Everything was spotless and well equipped. The only downside was the muddy patch just outside. Also, one twin room had bunk beds, which was fine for us.
Emma, Newcastle
Date of stay: 16th August 2019
The caravan was pretty simple, but it had all the essentials and was spotless too.
Emma, Essex
Date of stay: 3rd August 2019
We all enjoyed it quite a bit! Would’ve been perfect with a fish and chip shop on site, just to make it even better.
Amanda
Great small site. Caravans clean, modern and comfortable. Location is perfect, 5 mins walk to a beautiful beach and the kids loved the park on site. I would definitely recommend.
Alistair
Had a really enjoyable holiday would highly recommend to friends and family
Patricia
Only problem was the bathroom door handle got stuck so we had to have it repaired .But everything else was fine.
Joanne
Accommodation was very clean, sofa was rock hard and very uncomfortable. Beds were comfy although very narrow. No table or chairs outside to sit and enjoy the weather. Restaurant combined with show bar so no chance of a chat over dinner due to the noise. Food was good.
Duncan
Cannot fault the location or the value for money of this site. Would definitely go again.
Debbie
Absolutely stunning caravan, staff were so helpful and friendly, really quiet and not a lot to do but if you have a car you can drive out and there are lots of facilities around.
Steve
An excellent holiday. Good facilities, a friendly welcome, clean caravan and neat and tidy site. Thank you!
Catherine
It was a really enjoyable weekend and we will probably be back again next year
Rho
Brilliant location within easy walking distance of facilities on site and also a 15 min walk to the beach. The wider area also has many attractions; we enjoyed Northumberland Country Zoo and the Whitehouse Farm Centre, which are both fabulous for children.
Janette
Had a really nice time helped by wonderful weather to take advantage of beautiful beach within an easy stroll of the park and local ice cream shop serving a variety of delicious flavors. The park itself had enough facilities needed for a stay to occupy children. The caravan was clean and well equipped. The staff were helpful and polite. Fantastic coastline with many places of interest to visit.
