Comfortable lodge, nice outside verandah, a real sun trap and very private. It was clean and well equipped apart from sofa which is low and difficult to get out of. We would definitely come again.

If you are looking to escape everything, then this lovely little site and lodge is perfect! It’s well set up, clean and comfortable. The staff are super friendly and there are a few lovely walks from the lodge. The WiFi signal in the lodge was not very strong/ stable which didn’t both us, but might some people. Also, whilst the lodge is dog friendly, the veranda / surrounding grass area is not gated / fenced off - so no secure outside area for little pet friends. As a simple and quiet base it’s great - but don’t expect any ‘facilities or entertainment’. There is a very little village you can walk to with a lovely pub … definitely recommend it! Cowbridge is a short drive away with restaurants and a few shops / supermarkets - and many other places beyond if you have your own transport.

Great lodge, very comfortable, beautiful setting. No Internet & poor phone signal. No tv channels available, only streaming which also didn't work. Not a problem for us but should think it could be for some people.Unfortunately building work which involved a JCB digger was ongoing the week of our holiday. It started at 7am every morning so no chance of a lie in!!!

Well laid out lodge, would recommend to anyone going to the Principality Stadium as the train from Bridgend stops at Cardiff Central which is directly next to the stadium.

We booked the Chepstow Lodge at a really good price - it looked super cute, and we wasn't wrong! Everything was in working order, clean, and good condition. The only thing which brings the review to a 4 instead of a 5, is the sofa... It is far too low, like you're sitting on the floor, and very difficult to get up from as you sink into it - I guess this could be a personal preference, though. TV was great with all the apps - though you must remember to sign out of them before you leave! Every app we went to use had someone already signed in... The walls are fine but as the be expected in a lodge like this, however, we heard zero noise from surrounding lodges and it was so peaceful throughout the day and night. Would a million per cent definitely stay again, but perhaps in a different lodge with a slight better sofa.

great chalet and evrything you will need but the tv lets it down not being able to watch normal tv and having to download using apps

We loved the tranquillity of the lodge’s location, it’s perfect if you want peace away from the hustle. Facilities were just right for us and Maria’s instructions were clear. Definitely need your own transport since it’s quite remote. Booked at a great price too!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The space was perfect, super clean and the beds were incredibly comfy. There were enough sofas for everyone and the little fire made the evenings really cosy. Definitely recommend it to others!

We recently got a new sofa and honestly, it’s so much better! The old one sagged in the middle, making it impossible for two of us to sit comfortably. The TV remote batteries also needed replacing. The bed, though-wow, best sleep ever and the pillows are just perfect. Definitely a good upgrade for us!

We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge - it was super cosy and warm, just what we needed. The only downside was one of the single beds felt quite worn out, with springs poking through. Apart from that, everything was just about perfect. We’d definitely return!

We had a really nice stay overall. The place was peaceful and perfect for relaxing. The village was pretty close, but the supermarket was about a twenty-minute drive, so not too bad. There are some gorgeous beaches and charming villages nearby, plenty to keep us busy. Definitely enjoyed it!

We had a fantastic time! The lodge’s setting is truly special, perfect for unwinding after exploring. Watching the horses and birds of prey from the veranda was a real highlight. Definitely a trip to remember-can’t wait to come back someday!
