We had a lovely stay at this cottage! It’s tucked away on a working farm, so it's super private but still close enough to enjoy the surroundings. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely people. The place itself is really spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The bed was so comfy, we slept like logs. The garden is perfect for dogs - completely secluded and nicely furnished. Plus, Thaxted’s got some cracking restaurants like The Star and The Maypole. We’d definitely recommend it!

We had a really lovely time! Sharon and Robert were such friendly hosts and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The place was spotlessly clean, comfy and perfect for Archie, our dog. The location was brilliant - plenty of nice walks and charming villages like Thaxted nearby. Honestly, we left feeling totally refreshed and relaxed. Definitely a break we’ll remember fondly!

We had a really lovely stay at this place. The location is quite private and peaceful, perfect for a quiet getaway. The hosts were super friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome without intruding on our privacy. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day of cycling, such a nice touch! The only thing to note is that the cottage is directly under Stansted's flight path, so there's quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didn’t ruin our trip at all. Definitely recommend!

We had an amazing time at this cottage! The place was spotlessly kept and had everything we needed. The dog walks right outside made it so easy for us and our pup. The host was super friendly and quick to reply, which was great. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a real highlight. Definitely coming back!

We stayed as a family of four and honestly, it was such a lovely little spot. The kids loved fishing and hanging out at the site. Everyone was super friendly, which made everything easier. The boat house had fun stuff like bingo, arts and crafts and even a cinema - my daughter especially loved it. There's also a pool table and darts. The food was tasty too. We’ll definitely return!

Family of 4 son aged 12 daughter aged 8 lovely little site we all enjoyed fishing onsite everyone was very friendly the boat house offer entertainment such as bingo arts an crafts, cinema music which my daughter loved. There is a pool table an a darts board you can use. They also do food which was lovely will definitely be goin back.

We had a fantastic weekend here and really enjoyed our stay. The place was just right for us and the pups absolutely adored the underfloor heating - they couldn't get enough of the garden either! Luna even came home with a strained tail from wagging so much, but it just shows how much fun they had. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We had a lovely week at this cosy cottage with our two mini dachshunds. The village of Thaxted is charming and our pups made plenty of new friends there. The highlight was definitely the hot tub-perfect for cooling off during the scorching weather! The hosts were really friendly and made us feel right at home, which was nice. Watching the planes land near Stansted was surprisingly relaxing, even if you're on the flight path. Overall, we’d definitely recommend it for a peaceful getaway with your furry friends!

We stayed in the caravan for a quick 3-night trip. It wasn’t perfect-couple of kitchen doors didn’t quite match and the windows could have been cleaner. The overall look was a bit tired, but it didn’t stop us from having a good time. As a base, it suited us fine after a quick tidy up.

While the caravan seemed quite dated and was probably the oldest on site, used mainly by a fisherman, we really enjoyed the location by the lake-it made our stay quite pleasant despite the old van.

Honestly, the caravan’s getting a bit worn out now, probably around 3 to 4 years old. It used to be that they replaced them every 3 years before the company changed hands. We’ll see how it holds up next year, fingers crossed!

We found the beds and sofa to be great value, super comfy and spotless. The bathroom was lovely, though the shower felt a bit cramped. Everything in the kitchen worked perfectly too.

Stayed for a week, just me and my husband. Lovely quiet location caravan was spotless and adequate for our needs. May be okay for families with small children, not much on site for older kids. Easy to get around to the different beaches and sights. Would stay here again.

Lovely quiet site. The evening entertainment was brilliant especially when the children can be involved when it came to bingo. Only downside was the pool was closed but hopefully it may be open the next time we go.
