Lakeside holiday park in Somerset is a good choice for a budget break with prices from just £28 a night per caravan.  Rated 4 star by Visit Britain the Lakeside Holiday Park has plenty of amenities to keep even the most active of families entertained.  With lovely grounds to explore and an outdoor pool open in the summer months it can be hard to know what to do first.  Add to this bike hire, childrens adventure playground, games zone and a private fishing lake and you don't even have to leave the park.

But if you wanted to go out and explore the surrounding area then just ten minutes walk away is Burnham High Street and 7 miles of sandy beaches.

The caravans are well equipped and you can choose from Silver or Gold Standard.  The Burnham Gold 6 is a 12 ft wide caravan with one double and one twin room.  This makes a good choice for small families.  For larger parties the Burnham Gold 8 is recommended which as 3 bedrooms and sleeps 6-8.

Our Top Tip
"Families looking for luxurious accommodation should opt for the spacious Burnham Gold 6."

we enjoy the heron8, although we have a 6 berth in august 18, the 8 is very spacious, it has all we need, to ensure our comfort, one of our children is a looked after child so has to have his own room, the other child shares with his mum, as mark has spinal injuries he sleeps on the long sofa, we enjoy spending time with the children in lakeside , we do prefer the heron 8 .

Lakeside Holiday Park was relaxing and peaceful, with the added bonus of being visited by the local wildlife. The caravan was comfortable and modern, but could of been a been a bit cleaner. Loved Burnham as a whole with plenty to see and do with plenty of other local places to visit.
Kathleen
A nice quiet site situated near the town center and within easy reach of the beach.
Janet
Had problems with the sink blocked and hot water. sink we unblocked yourself hot water we had to live without a shower for the week. Won't go back to lakeside sorry reception staff were great not there fault for poor repairs
Ceri
Excellent good value for money mini break. Lovely staff. Fantastic location. Will definitely be returning and recommending to others.
Linda
The site is clean and thankfully mud free despite the bad weather we had. There was nothing we could find fault with. It's a short walk to the beach but there are plenty of parking spaces if you want to use your car. We will definitely return. If you want the swimming pool though, go between May and September as it's an outdoor one.
Maryann
We had a lovely time at lakeside we have been here many times .The club house is great
Julie
Great site easy to get round. Friendly staff
Ben
Very good and enjoyable
Tony
lovely site the only problem was tramping through grass to get to the caravan, prefer parking alongside. Broadband at the Caravans would be helpful
