Really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was super clean and had everything we needed. Beds were comfy too.

Great atmosphere, friendly team, highly recommend!

Date of stay: 4th May 2025
We loved our stay! The place was super cosy and had a modern vibe. The only thing was the leather sofa-so we ended up watching TV from bed, which worked fine. Overall, it was a really beautiful spot, no complaints at all!

Date of stay: 3rd May 2025
We had such a lovely stay at this cottage! The area was peaceful and perfect for unwinding. The hot tub was a real highlight and the place was spotless with all the essentials. Plenty of walks nearby and we truly enjoyed our time here. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed the stay, would come back.
Sarah, Weston Super Mare
Date of stay: 29th April 2025
We stayed at The Lodge recently and found it very tidy overall. The bed was incredibly comfy, which was a plus after a long day. We appreciated the complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits - a nice touch! The only downside was the parking, which was quite a walk from the lodge, especially with all our luggage and it was pouring when we arrived, so that was a bit of a pain. Still, it was a lovely stay.
Sam, Salford
Date of stay: 23rd April 2025
We really enjoyed the lodge overall. The only letdown was that the smaller 1 bed lodge had a shelter over the hot tub, while ours was completely open, which was a bit disappointing.
Jamie, Ellesmere Port
Date of stay: 22nd April 2025
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, loved it!

Date of stay: 22nd April 2025
We stayed at a lovely lodge, super clean and really well presented. The only hiccup was trying to figure out the touch screen oven. Being not exactly tech-savvy, we spent ages fiddling with it and in the end, just ordered a takeaway instead! It’d be great if they had some simple instructions or a quick guide for folks like us who aren’t so comfortable with modern gadgets. Still, overall, a great stay!
Sarah, West Midlands
Date of stay: 16th April 2025
We had a fantastic time! The lodge exceeded our expectations - it was so spacious and spotless. Being in a group of four, we appreciated how comfy and airy it felt. Definitely a place we’d return to without hesitation. Highly recommend!
Jessie, Sleaford
Date of stay: 16th April 2025
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The only tricky part was the late check-in and early checkout, but everything else was great.

Date of stay: 14th March 2025
We really enjoyed our stay! Perfect spot for bringing bikes to explore the Tissington Trail. The lodges are spotless and modern, definitely recommend it.

Date of stay: 9th March 2025
Overall, we had a lovely stay at the treehouse. The only downside was the WiFi didn't quite reach the hot tub area, so no music downstairs. The hot tub itself could’ve been better; some jets weren’t working and the handle was broken, which is understandable given how much they’re used. Despite that, we’d definitely stay here again - it’s a cosy spot with a lot of charm!
Emma
Date of stay: 6th March 2025
Lovely stay, super friendly hosts and that jacuzzi really made our trip special! Definitely coming back.

Date of stay: 4th March 2025
Had a great stay, just wish the shower was a bit stronger, that's all.
Emma, Chichester
Date of stay: 4th March 2025
The lodge really surprised us, in a good way! The layout is clever and modern, with plenty of sockets, mood lighting and a kitchen that's way better than expected. Brilliant!

Great stay with stunning views, really enjoyed the whole break!

Date of stay: 21st February 2025
We had a lovely stay here! The staff were super friendly and made check-in a breeze. The reception and bar areas are sleek and modern, which really sets the vibe. Our lodge was fantastic, especially that free-standing bath - it was the cherry on top! Definitely coming back.

Date of stay: 16th February 2025
We had such a lovely stay here! The owners are genuinely warm and thoughtful, making us feel really welcome. The cottage itself is adorable, with its charming half-timbered style and a super strong shower that was much appreciated. The cosy kitchen and comfy bed made everything feel perfect. Parking right outside was a huge bonus and we enjoyed peaceful walks across the fields to Thaxted, which is full of character. Cleanliness and warmth were spot on too!
Emma Carter, Buxton
Date of stay: 12th February 2025
Nice weather made it a great day.
Emma, Gb
Date of stay: 5th February 2025
The place is gorgeous, super clean and obviously well maintained - almost feels new! Only downside is the late check-in and early checkout at nine, though.
Emma, Newport
Date of stay: 2nd February 2025
We had a lovely stay at the lodge. It was super clean and the beds were really comfy, which made a big difference after long days. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. If I had to suggest one thing, it’d be a parasol on the deck - it’s a total sun trap and we could’ve used some shade! Plus, some extra towels for the hot tub would be handy. During the heatwave, a fan in the bedroom would’ve been a blessing, but overall, a great place to stay!
Sarah
Date of stay: 1st February 2025
The owners are genuinely lovely and friendly, really going above and beyond when the power cut happened because of the storm. The cottage was spotless, warm and super well-equipped. Our dog loved the enclosed garden and we enjoyed the hot tub! Definitely recommend.
Alex, Gb
Date of stay: 29th January 2025
We decided to squeeze in a last-minute getaway and booked a four-night stay at this place and honestly, it turned out to be a much nicer experience than we expected. The lodge was well-equipped with everything we needed, including a dishwasher, microwave, washer dryer and hobs - perfect for a comfy stay. The surrounding area is lovely, ideal for leisurely walks and Dovedale is definitely worth exploring. The staff at reception and in the restaurant were super friendly, with a special shoutout to Caroline - she was lovely, always smiling and helpful. That said, we did notice some minor issues that keep it from being perfect. Our lodge wasn’t spotless; there were spider webs around the windows, which was a bit disappointing. We also asked for a couple of instant coffee sachets and tea bags, but were told we’d need to buy them from the shop - a bit stingy, we thought. It wouldn’t hurt to just give guests a couple, would it? Another thing was the TVs - both were pretty outdated and smart features like Netflix or BBC iPlayer weren’t available, which was a shame. Plus, the restaurant menu on the wall in our lodge was outdated; staff confirmed it hadn’t been used for a while, so it’s a bit puzzling why it’s still there. Despite these small grumbles, we had a lovely holiday overall. Would recommend!
Emma, Norwich
Date of stay: 24th January 2025
Really enjoyed our trip! The location was perfect and everyone at the hotel was lovely.
Rachel
Perfect family week . The lodge was spotless the grounds perfect and the staff were amazing !!! Would definitely recommend and would love to return
Christine
Bakewell Lodge had all facilities of home, really clean. Had a great holiday, would recommend it to family and friends. Will come back.
Susan
We loved the holiday it was fab, the only downside was in the lodge the oven /microwave was to high up in lodge 30 and it was a bit dangerous as I at to stand on a chair to get the hot food out
Mel
We stayed 4 nights in the Buxton and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Great location, central to all the places we wanted to see. Lodges are well placed on the site, deck was secluded and peaceful.
Kathryn
Stunning Lodge which was well equipped and modern. Beautiful surroundings. Staff so so helpful, nothing too much trouble, which really helped after a long car journey with our two young children. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for lovely quality modern accommodation, in a peaceful tranquil setting, with helpful staff. The only reason it didn't all receive a 10/10 was because mobile reception was quite poor from the lodge (likely due to the locations/hills/rural setting) and there was no pool or park or other facilities for children (perhaps why it was so peaceful!).
Jorgen
We stayed in the Tissington Treehouse and found it absolutely perfect, it was spotlessly clean, comfortable and surprisingly spacious. Treats and a prezzie for our dog was a fabulous touch, being crazy dog people this really was a lovely gesture.
Joanne
Had a fantastic holiday, management and staff were amazing. Close to different places of interest. Would definitely recommend
Jon
Very nice lodges, good grounds. We noticed a lack of facilities for kids, no play area, no green space to kick a ball etc. Also lacking walks for dogs local to the cabins crossing the road to the Tissington Trail was challenging, would be better in the local council installed footpaths either side of the A515. I am sure the site can push this issue.
Kylie
Beautiful lodge, we loved our stay. Reception staff very helpful. Restaurant staff there was some room for improvement. We will definitely visit again.
Janet
The lodge we has was beautiful. It faced away from the other lodges and looked out at the hedges and pool which was so peaceful and relaxing. The dog wash is a fabulous facility. We love that the area between and around lodges has been kept wild and we saw a great many birds which was fabulous and so peaceful and relaxing. The hot tub was checked twice a day and it was amazing! The lodge itself was very clean and all facilities fabulous - the only mark down is that the car park space for our lodge was quite a long walk from the lodge itself and the light in the dog wash only stayed on for about 30 seconds. Otherwise idyllic and perfect - we will be going back.
Carley
Beautiful lodge, with comfy beds and great facilities.
Carol
Had a lovely stay! Lodge was very spacious, clean and facilities were very good.
Julie
Wonderful staff and great food. Very welcoming.
