We had a fantastic time at Ashlea Pools! The lodges are super cosy and really well equipped, making it feel like a home away from home. The hot tubs are always spotless and relaxing after a day out. The site itself is beautifully maintained, with a lovely little cafe that turns into a pizzeria four nights a week, which was a nice touch. The staff are friendly and always quick to help with anything. We’ve been twice and can’t wait to go back again!

We stayed in a tidy little cabin that was well-equipped and on a nicely maintained site. The place was pretty peaceful, apart from the occasional train passing by a few times a day, which wasn’t too bothersome. One thing we weren’t too keen on was the TV signal - it was a bit unreliable, so thankfully we brought our own Amazon Fire Stick to keep entertained. Wi-Fi was a bit pricey at £6 a day, especially since it’s an extra on top of the cabin cost - honestly, it should be included as standard, really. The pizzeria’s pizzas were around £15 each, which felt quite steep for a takeaway. Plus, getting the toppings to stay on the base was a bit of a challenge! We also found out there were a few extra charges if we didn’t follow certain rules, like taking our rubbish to the communal bin - again, we think that should be part of the package. The damage deposit took up to three weeks to get back, which seemed a bit of a wait. Overall, we had a decent time to relax, but those extra costs did bug us a little.

We had mixed feelings about our stay. The hot tub was spotless, which was lovely, but the Wi-Fi was completely useless after paying for it and nobody could fix it. The kitchen was in dire need of a proper tidy-up too. Still, some nice touches overall.

We rented the Lake View and Goldcrest lodges as a family and they both fit our needs really well. My son’s been here before and although it was my first visit, definitely won’t be my last!

The bed was a tad firmer than we prefer, but it’s all personal taste.

Really loved the lodge! The Christmas tree added a cosy touch and relaxing in the hot tub was just what we needed after a busy day.

We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin had such a luxurious vibe, with high-end fixtures and plush bedding that made us feel really special. The kitchen was fully equipped, perfect for cooking or just grabbing a bite at the onsite pizzeria and cafe. The walk-in shower and bathtub in the bedroom added a real VIP touch. Spacious, stylish and stunning - we’d come back in a heartbeat!

We really enjoyed the cosy vibe of the cabin, it felt like a little retreat! The TV had quite a strange mix of channels-like four different ITV channels but no CBeebies for our little one, which was a bit annoying but not a big deal since we didn’t watch much anyway. The Wi-Fi could’ve been better if it had been connected properly. Also, there weren’t any coffee, tea, or milk sachets when we arrived, which would’ve been nice for a quick morning brew, but totally our fault for not bringing some along! Still, we’d come back.

We’ve been coming here for a few years now and already booked for next year! The lodges are always spotless and fully equipped for a relaxing weekend. The welcome basket this time was a lovely surprise, really enjoyed it. We absolutely love the hot tub, though it would be great if there was a cover or gazebo to use it in the wetter months. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

We had a fantastic stay at this lodge! The place was spotless-honestly, I used to be an Airbnb cleaner and I couldn’t find a single fault. The vibe was really warm and welcoming and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The facilities are top-notch, with a handy shop and cafe on site that had everything we needed. As NHS nurses, we really needed a break and this place delivered exactly that. We loved it and will definitely return!

We stayed at this lodge and really enjoyed it! The whole place felt warm and inviting with its wooden interior. Everything was spotless and the kitchen gear looked brand new. The bed was super comfy too. Nice touch with the towels and robes-really appreciated those extras!

Lovely clean and tidy site. Ideal base to explore Shropshire and North Wales. Shop didn't seem as well stocked as our previous stay here. Decent staff on hand during the day.

Paradise! Really lovely place for a peaceful and quiet break with great helpful friendly staff. Really enjoyed the fishing too, and the breakfast in the cafe was spot on! Will be back for sure.

Lovely lodge. Peaceful and dog friendly. Plenty space in lodge. Only small note would be better outdoor seating. We had bench and table. Chairs would hv been more convenient for enjoying the Lovely sunshine we had.

Beautiful park with very peaceful surroundings. It is a little disappointing that the cafe/bar doesn’t stay open in the evenings as it would have been really nice to stop by for a drink after dinner. The lodge was comfortable and exceptionally clean. The hot tub was wonderful. Overall an excellent break, we will definitely return.
