Brookside Leisure Park - Reviews

Great spot for families, lots to do around, facilities are really good.

We stayed at the lodge recently and honestly, it was pretty great. The place was spotless and super comfy - we felt right at home. Only small gripe was a couple of pans with some old food on them, so we had to give them a quick clean before cooking. The shower wasnt the most powerful, but it did the job just fine. Overall, it was a lovely stay and we wouldn't let those tiny things put us off. Definitely would go back!

The lodge has so much potential, just needs a refresh and comfier beds, but we loved it!

Really enjoyed our stay, the lodge was spotless and had all the essentials!

Lodge has potential to be really lovely but needs updating and better mattresses! But overall lovely

The lodge was really cosy and well-equipped, especially the kitchen with all we needed and a dishwasher! The hot tub was such a bonus too!

Cracking place, hot tub a bonus

Honestly, we had such a great time at the lodge! The private hot tub with fairy lights and starry views was just incredible, especially after long walks. Indoors, the spa bath felt like pure luxury - really appreciated that touch. The living space was super comfy and the four-poster bed in the bedroom was just lovely. We did get invited to try the pool, gym and squash courts, but we were too busy exploring the beautiful surroundings and relaxing in the hot tub. Thanks for a wonderful break!

The lodge was perfect for our relaxing break. We loved the private hot tub with fairy lights and views of the stars. Indoors, the spa bath was an added luxury! The living area was very comfortable, and the bedroom with its four poster bed was lovely. We were invited to use other facilities including a swimming pool, gym and squash courts, but we were too busy enjoying the walks from the door and further afield, followed by a lounge in the hot tub. Thank you for a brilliant holiday!

Absolutely loved the cabin, didnt want to leave!

Great cabin, didnt want to leave !

Great experience, will recommend to everyone I know! Definitely returning soon.

The lodge was spotless and well-maintained, making for a really comfortable stay. The price was quite reasonable too, which was a bonus. Were already planning our next visit-cant wait! Thanks a lot from us both.

We had a really nice stay here. The area is so peaceful and perfect for walks right from the door. Its quite remote, so dont expect local shops nearby. The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed. Great for unwinding!

We spent a lovely few days here. Very quiet and peaceful area. Lots of walks on your doorstep. It is quite isolated with no amenities locally or within walking distance. Lodge had everything we needed, it was clean. Great for a relaxing stay.

We recently stayed at Redwood Lodge and honestly, it was just what we needed-a peaceful, cosy spot tucked away in a lovely setting. The lodge itself is charming and feels like a hidden treasure. Simon and Jeanette were so helpful with directions and making sure everything was just right. Big thanks to them! Were definitely telling friends about it and cant wait to come back someday. Cheers, Emma and Mark from Runcorn!

Does need updating The window in double room does Id not shut properly and the door latch needs repaired ing. The shower in the en suite . The chrome needs a GOOD clean it is black . The light pull in family bathroom stopped working.A welcome pack would be very useful. The hot tub nice and clean and a lovely place to unwind in.Not a bad place to stay but way out . No pub or shop near by.Oswestry great for shopping and not to far away . In spite of the faults we enjoyed our stay

The lodge was a bit older, but everything functioned smoothly - hot water, TV, DVD and solid Wi-Fi. Kitchen had all we needed, except no freezer, so we ate our provisions quickly. Lovely view of Chirk Castle too!

On arrival gate falling off Key in door looked clean cooker was disgusting hadnt been cleaned for a while Fridge was disgusting ice box full ice that had had spillage frozen orange ice hadnt been defrosted at all I worked in catering for 30 years. Eho would be on case if they saw that I now clean holiday accommodation we clean from top to bottom every change over including appliances Dish washer had food particles in it we never used it The whole place is tired dated Garden furniture worn out Kids enjoyed hot tub Play area was dissapointing not lot in it No sign of owners at all just text saying 10 quid swimming pool 6 quid gym The areas all around it was like dumping ground full rubble rubbish The hot water was absolutely scolding very unsafe for kids with no sign up to say Wouldnt stay here again would not recommend to friends

Great spot, friendly staff, definitely planning to visit again soon!

We had a lovely time at Copper Beech Lodge! The inside was super well-equipped, especially the kitchen with everything you could need. We loved playing the board games in the evening. The hot tub was the highlight-so relaxing under the stars. Perfect for anyone wanting a peaceful break, especially outdoorsy families looking for some quiet time. Wed definitely go back!

We had an absolutely lovely Christmas at Copper Beech Lodge. The setting was so peaceful and scenic, it really felt like a proper escape. The hot tub was such a treat after long walks in the area, which were really enjoyable. The location was spot on - shops just a short drive away, so we had everything we needed without any hassle. The hosts went above and beyond; they were so friendly and helpful from start to finish. We arrived to a beautifully decorated tree, all lit up, along with a gift and a card that made us feel really welcome. On Christmas eve, they even dropped off a new roasting set - that was such a nice touch. Honestly, we couldnt have asked for a better stay and cant wait to come back! Thanks so much, Simon & Jeanette!

We stayed at the lodge recently and honestly, it was pretty good overall. The place was spotless and tidy, which we really appreciated. The heating worked perfectly, keeping us warm on chilly nights and the bed was surprisingly comfy! The kitchen was simple but functional. Only minor gripes-bathroom taps were a bit fiddly and the shower had low pressure. The TV was a nice size and had all the channels we needed. Would stay again!

We really enjoyed the stay! The cottage was charming and peaceful, perfect for escaping the hustle. The owners were friendly without being pushy and the hot tub was fantastic! Definitely recommend.

We spent a week over Easter and really enjoyed our stay. The site is quite cosy and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, which made everything easier. The lodge was a bit quirky and maybe a bit old-fashioned, but it was spotless and had everything we needed. The hot tub was definitely a highlight! There was plenty to keep us busy too - a pool (we had it all to ourselves!), squash courts, a gym and outdoor tennis. Our dogs loved how welcoming the place was. Well definitely be returning soon!

Great experience, definitely worth trying out!

The lodge was really comfortable and well-equipped, loved the hot tub and the space was perfect.

We had a really lovely time! Sharon and Robert made us feel so welcome, which was great. The place had everything we needed - super clean, comfy and safe for Archie, our dog. The location was spot on, with loads of nice walks nearby and Thaxted and the surrounding villages are just gorgeous. We definitely left feeling recharged and relaxed, so all in all, a fantastic stay!

We had a lovely family getaway here. Its really about making the most of it and you get what you pay for. The cabins a bit on the older side, so dont expect shiny new furniture or high-end appliances. Bedding and towels were spotless and comfy, which was great. We did have to ask for extra towels, so its worth bringing some along, especially if youre planning to use the hot tub a lot. The appliances all worked fine, no issues there. The shower was a bit weak but hot enough to do the job. The kitchen could do with a pizza cutter-lol! The hot tub was definitely a highlight, even if we didnt use the pool or other facilities on-site. The drive up is quite steep, but our car made it fine. Stunning views too, wed definitely come back!

Staff were very helpfull surrounding arears and view from balcony were beautiful.
Hot tub was amazing.

Great lodge and hot tub and lovely surroundings

Thoughouly enjoyed our relaxing break and our log cabin with hot tub. A cover for the hot tub would be beneficial when it rains.

Had a lovely stay. Staff were very helpful when needing information about the surrounding area and walks. The facilities were lovely and easy to access when in use. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to relax and have a romantic get away.

Beautiful scenic stay! This was a perfect place for our family with 4 children under 10 years. We love being outdoors and exploring woodlands so the location was perfect for us. It was very private and quiet which is perfect if you enjoy a secluded trip away from a busy life. We also really enjoyed the swimming pool, the booking was really easy for this, we really enjoyed we had the pool to our selves. The pool was very clean.
The only recommendation we have would probably a map as we felt bad as we had to text the owners a couple of times, however they were super friendly and helpful.

What a fantastic find, will definitely be going back. So quiet and homely. Perfect break

The lodge itself could do with a bit of 'doing up' as looking a little tired, windows where double glazed but couple of hamdles missing and the wind was blowing straight through windows and door
However, everything else was amazing, Ollie was extremely helpful and friendly.
Private swimming pool to hire which was nice, although again a little 'tired' looking
Also a gym and pool room with self service bar which was really nice
Fantastic scenery, could do with more signage to actual lodges off main road and very narrow, twisty, hilly lane to the lodges, which made the entrance a little interesting, also a recently fallen tree due to storms which we had to drive under, very exciting
Would definitely recommend for a stay, even better in summer!

Thank you! We had a nice pre-Christmas break?
